  • More bow, indeed! Heifetz must have been asking that, like, 15-20 times, and yet that student didn't listen and remained quite stubborn... even his icy glare at 2.03 (quite a frightening stare Heifetz could produce) didn't help. Even dry humour didn't work! After that, he just gave up...

  • you do that only on fridays?

  • Heifetz reminds me to my teacher, always shouting: more bow!!

  • What happened to this violinist, is he still playing?

  • @MrTheComposer He was really trying to fix this student's problem - more bow, which solves a lot of expression issues.

  • the student played very well especially when you take into consideration he was playing in front of one of the best and renowned violinists at that time. as much as I like heifetz, he doesn't exactly show a very friendly, warm presence.

  • I' l take it away from you if you don't!!!! hahahaha

  • MORE BOW!!!!

  • what piece is this?

  • it's Tchaikovsky violin concerto, 3rd time, 2nd half

after he play 2two etudes of Крайцер.

  • This student play very well.

    1. The student is not fell the tempo, why he runing?

    2. He like machin, It is no Tchaikovski.

  • He played well, but I do agree with Heifetz that he should have slowed down a bit on certain passages. He shouldn't be in a hurry to get to the end. Overall, however, he played very well -- very, very well.

  • if we look better we can what big different between they. Heifetz is god to comparing this student (student is people)

  • USE THE BOW!!!

  • Do you have session 4 next? Thanks for sharing this gem!
