you know when I wanted to close vegas(10.0) I click the close button then he sez "Sony Vegas can't work so you need to close"(He sez somethink like that...)

V=HELP ME ! if i import a mp4 file in sony vegas it says :

An error occured while opening one or more files.

The reason for the error could not be determineted

Yesterday I created a project with "heavy files". I imported like 5 files into Sony Vegas and they were like 3 GB each. So today I tried to open the project again to continue editing, but for some reason it just froze after 13% loading. I tried deep-scan on my computer for virus, delete registry files, I closed a lot of other programs/applications, released RAM space and restarted my computer like five times, but still it just freezes at 13%!

It's so frustrating!

I recently upgraded my editing station to a new Windows 7 64 bit machine and Vegas 9e 64 Bit.

I cannot render an mp4 to save my life. For the past years I have been using Sony Vegas 7e and been loving it.

I select Render As and choose MainConcept AVC/AAC .mp4 and set up my 1920 x 1080 4 MB CBR and it works great for youtube.

Now in Sony Vegas 9, When I try the MainConcept mp4 it renders but plays back CHOPPY. Kind of like a strobe effect.

I found Vista is not a stable platform for SV pro8--heaps of crashes while rendering--but solved that problem by right clicking the SV icon on the desktop--properties--compatabi­lity---then I chose windows XP-service pack 2--changing the platform helped no end.

Another idea is too import all of your clips into the SV timeline and batch render them without effects or audio to the format you will be using and place them in one folder.

Then import them back into the timeline and add effects-audio-narrative etc. then render--I have experienced no crashes or rendering probs with this method and have found that rendering time is geatly reduced.

After 6 mos of frustration trying to use MP4's w Sony Vegas 9, I gave up entirely. Some YT pages for Vegas software glitch-fixes have more than 5000 visitors attempting to get beyond bugs. Just downloaded Sony Movie Make HD 10 and it is crashing upon startup every single time on Win7. This company is the absolute worst.

a small solution is once you did one edit and add in clip, click the save button to save your work, that way if it cuts off, just go at least one or two steps back of your video

Could someone please help me, I have recently upgraded from Windows XP to Vista Ultimate - 64bit and Sony Vegas has an unfamiliar problem. I checked online and most people have the same problem but with no solution, using the same OS as me. Vista-64bit might be why, but I wanted to know the problem.

Every time I render my avi's into a wmv (or any other format) it crashes as soon as it starts to render. Also I have no problems with my CPU or computer cooling so that shouldn't be a reason why.

Hi. I see you posted this 8 months ago. I get the same message now and I don't know what to do. It's so frustrating 'cause I spent an insane amount of time making this (the longest I've used on any video - 1 1/2 weeks) and now I can't render it.
