I REALLY like that first rabbit cage, it is a great summer home idea! It gives the bunny room to hop and stretch with a nice cool little hidey hole, I think I will take apart my hutch and make it into one of those!
do animal auctions sell them? I used to have a rex and yes their coat is the most soft of ant rabbits other breed coat feel like cat fur. I really like the flemish breed too. I live in Pa. how do i tract down a current breeder near me? I'd like just to also see them up close and personal.
dont you feel sorry for yours rabbits as they have small cadges ,i have three rabbits n they have a big shed wich is halfed n in one side there is 2 n the other is alone :)
@georgepetlover You should just BUY a cage! Not, MAKE one! That would take like, weeks, or even months, or even years! JK! Maybe a month, it's kinda hard, just buy one, or make a hutch or something. Is that what you mean? A hutch? Hutches are easy to make.
Do not use straw with rabbits!!!! they will eat it and it will get stuck in their intestins and kill them we have had a few bunnies die from it so use wood shavings or hay.
the vet we use for our goats that also knows about rabbits said you should never give them Straw because they will eat it and it will clog their guts and we have had 2 rabbits die from it how about you don't try to tell me what to do with my rabbits.
@qwertty57 how about you stop having a childish strop! sawdust is very dangerous for rabbits! straw IS fine dependsing on what you have, if its the softer type of straw it can be digested, where as as you say the sharper straw can get stuck and cause problems.
@LittleKitten6 i am not having a 'childish Strop' I am saying that straw KILLS.
NOT ALL Wood shavings are good , Yes i know that,
BUT Straw is worse. NOTICE how they do not sell little bags Of Straw In stores FOR rabbits.
BUT they do sell little bags of WOOD SHAVINGS and HAY In bags so how about you stop being a idiot And yelling at me for trying to stop other people from killing their rabbits.
Not all rabbits eat it still it's not worth they risk.
@qwertty57 im not having a go at you im trying to help you. just because they sell it for rabbits does not mean its good for them, the sell chocolate to people but does that make it good for them? no. the particals in ALL sawdust can cause respiratory failure and can lead to death! you don't have to listen to me, google it that all you need to do. thats all im not commenting again, its obvs not getting through. We can both agree tho, that hay is definaty good for rabbits.
hi i live in alaska and i was wondering if i could keep my two rabbits i am getting this week in my garage. The lowest it gets in the garage is around 55 degrees. Which i think is fine for a rabbit. Please reply.
this is just a suggestion its wat we do with my rabbit it looks really hot there so wat u could do for each rabbit is use like old water bottles cordial bottles feel them up with water pop in freaser then when frose put them in the cage they will the lay next to them and stuff keeping them cool
Those poor rabbits :( . They can't interact with one another or run on grass...please, you should let them out for runs on grass each day. Why have you got so many rabbits, when its obvious that the poor animals are not happy stuck in confined cages for long amounts of time. For the animals sakes find them loving homes where they will be loved. How would you feel if you were locked in a cage for most of your life?!
The cages are way too small, do they ever come out of them? They don't seem to have hay, which they need or their teeth will grow and it'll be very painful for them. Sorry if this comment comes across rude, just telling you my opinion....
I do give them stray as bedding but I just didn't have any down in this video, I musta run out or something, can't remember! I took this video last summer so it's kinda old...
@tatertott22 I do! I have one exactly that! I brought her/him to the fair, and he/she won first place! They CAN breed, I bred them myself, and they are priced ATLEAST $10-$20. If you're interested, PM me. I got another person interested.
Beautiful rabbits:D Nice cages too, even if I'm no fan of wire floors XD but at least they have boards to sit on. Are those cages on the ground hard to clean? I have that problem with my runs that I keep scooping up a lot of rocks and getting urine out is as good as impossible XD Not to mention that my girls dig a lot XD so the ground is very uneven XP
u know wire cages makes the cage clean at all times all the feces just drop right down. and u can scoop it up or rake it in the morning and i personally provide wooden boards so the rabbits can relief there feets from the wires/wire bottom cages are very practical for rabbitries that have more than 5-8 bunnies wire cages also help keeping the rabbit healthy no bacteria from feces and amonia builds up and the rabbits are free from illnesses
I've known droppings to get stuck in the wires too....+some rabbits have a tendency to get sore paws from it. Also if there's hay on top suddenly nothing falls through and its just as hard to clean:p (yeah I have tried)
I would love Sarah, but I live in ohio and shipping a rabbit is so expensive. I am looking for a flemish giant in ohio, but they are sort of hard to find.
Dang! What do you do with all of these rabbits? Just breed them and sell them and put them in shows? I'm not trying to be mean, I just wanna know. Also I have a mini rex! His name is Romeo. lol
Ok I really love your rabbitriy tours especially this one.But yeah I have tons of questions.Could you please message me?and this might be a dumb question but what is 4H?

@qwertty57 wood shavings are really bad for rabbits they are too dusty and effect their lungs. Straw is usually ok as long as its not too sharp.

@LittleKitten6
Okay.
Sorry About that,,,
I just do not like this rabbitry and i was kind of upset,
But if your rabbit eats the straw you need to use something else,
Not all shavings are bad,
Ceder And pine are not good.
Atleast YOU give your rabbits Hay/
