• love the video ... simple and to the point ^^

  • what song is this?

  • It's a GIFT!

  • godbless the holy roman catholic church

  • Niether you nor her understand our teachings or our reasons for doing such. It's not an insult to call out a lie or ignorance. You simply don't understand why we venerate Jesus's beloved mother.

  • I live in America, but I can't just assume all Protestants or Jews here are really bad people so you are a liar for saying every Catholic in Poland is bad. Your ignorance about our doctrines is hilarious. I feel like I'm talking to a 13 year old. Anyway most of your post is baseless assumptions with no proof to back up your critizisms or why anything you listed is wrong or is a sin. So there is no need for me to respond to it.

  • Beautiful video!

  • Thank u for making this!! my mom had to use this 4 my ccd retreat. It made ppl cry. Im faving this!!

  • ....the Our Lord's word had fulfilled,"You are Peter an on this Rock I will build my Church,,,and we follow Jesus on his Church who promisses to Us his holy spirit will be with Us until the end of the times,,remember, Jesus called to be one body,,one faith, today we can see Christians with different denominations,,if the Lutherans group is the example to follow why are divided in thousand of groups, and they wanna call to this Church,,where is the one body,

  • Our Lord answered,to Peter,I am carrying your cross, and I go to Roma for receive the Crusifixion again,,in that moment, Peter understood He must to die in Roma,,and He comeback and told to Neron I want to receive the crusifixion upside down because I am not worth for to get the death as my Lord,,50 yearg later,,Constantin got a Vision and order to everyone to belief in Christ and Immediately order to build a basilic over the Peter's tomb....

  • A heretic is someone that reads the Holy Bible and interprets it wrongly. The "rock" upon which Jesus Christ built his church is the words of St. Peter that he is the son of God and not st. Peter himself! and the authority of forgiving sins was given to Peter (and to all the Apostols) after Christ's resurrection. So Peter is one of the apostols without greater authorities than the others! Finally, it is not sure that st. Peter founded the church of Rome!

  • I see you don't know nothing about history of the Christianity,,,you get a bible on your hands, and you are a Christians thanks to the Catholic Church where started the Christianity,,Jesus send to Peter to Roma, when Neron told to everyone,,"I want the head of the Christians,,and the Christians warning to Peter, left Roma,,then Jesus appeared carrying a Cross(aparition),,and Peter asks to our Lord Jesus where you going Lord??....

  • yes and he Said' "To Rome so that i may be crucified again?" Peter returned to Rome and was crucified on Vaticana Hill, note: NOT one of Rome's seven hills!

  • You "catholics" (I call you papists, because the only "catholic" church is the one orthodox church of Jesus Christ), you are heretics. you believe that a man (the pope) is the leader of the church, and that is unmistakeable! Where do you find this? I don't want say about the other heretic doctrines, it's enough!

  • "And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 16:18-19). Jesus didn't see a problem with giving a man authority over His church. Why should you?

  • Upon this rock. This rock being Jesus Christ. Christ is the ONLY head of the church not the pope. Sorry to disappoint you but it's the truth. Jesus means "massive rock" petra, Peter is petros, "small rock". Could the church be built on something as small as Peter. I don't think so. And what does Jesus say to peter a few verses later..."Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence (stumbling block) to me:..."(Matt 16:23)Jesus gave him no such authority. God Bless!

  • the orthadox church isnt the true church, because it is not united (infact some orthadox churches are fighting) the catholic church is united.

  • You are lying. Orthodox church is unified by the Canons of the Ecumenical Cuncils. When a church doesn't accept the others we have a schism, that can become an heresy, like the Papasy. You are unified in the name of a man (completely anti-ecclessiastical). You'd better change your minds and return to the "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church", (The Orthodox)

  • Of course the Orthodox church IS a Christian church. They are not in communion with us (sadly), but they believe almost the same that we (Catholics) do. That being said, it's a gross mistake and quite hateful to call the Pope an heresy. Since Christ himself established Peter as the first Pope, even current Orthodox theologians accept the primacy of the Bishop of Rome among Christians. If the Pope is just a "Primus inter pares" or the highest Church's authority, that's what keeps us apart.

  • I was under the impression that the Orthodox and Catholic churches had joined together.

I saw a mass on EWTN, celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI, where the gospel was read first in Latin, then in Greek.

  • The Catholic Church is predominantly Latin (western) in her liturgy and traditions, but she has "an eastern lung" too. There are many Catholic churches in the east that keep the so-called orthodox liturgy and discipline, although they are fully in comunnion with the Holy See and are loyal to the Pope; they are known as the Eastern Rite Churches or Uniates. Hence, the Orthodox Church is an Eastern Church not in comunnion with Rome.

  • @sfowatcher annnd a few other things.. a few quite important things haha

  • Chatolic=pharisee in jesus time

    NO. 1 hypocrite

You should read bible to become a true christian

  • I'm not buying one bit of this video for it is a true testament of a Man Made Creed which has no life in it. Extravagant cathedrals, relics, an adored pope who is only human. Do you really believe that pleases God? That is done to please man, not God. All that will wither in the end. I don't pray to saints or the virgin mother Mary, I pray and obey ONLY God the Father through Jesus Christ and so should you. John 14:6

    God Bless you all!

  • Turn from this paganism and idolatry (Isa 42: 8), priest forgiving sins, praying to Mary, baptism of babies, this is all sinful nature and Satan is a master deceiver. (2 Th 2:9,10)

Christ is our only advocate NOT Mary. Its not in the Bible. Her only role was to bare the Son. Christ is the only saviour. (1 Timothy 2:5)He is the only one who suffered for our sins completely on the cross.

Turn from sin or be thrown into the lake of fire...forever.

    Believe in Christ alone.

  • "[H]e breathed on [the disciples] and said to them, 'Receive the holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained'" (John 20:22-23). Priests can forgive sins precisely because Jesus Christ gave them the authority to do so.

  • Only God can forgive sins (Mark 2:7-12).

The only mediator between us and God is Jesus (I Tim. 2:5).

Any Christian can pray for the forgiveness of another Christian; but they only pray - they cannot actually forgive the sin. And all righteous men (not some special priestly class) do this for one another (James 5:16).

All Christians can pray to God through Christ for forgiveness of their own sins (Acts 8:22; Matt. 6:12).

  • "The words 'priest,' 'priesthood' ... are never applied in the New Testament to the office of the Christian ministry. All Christians are priests (I Pet. 2:5,9; Apoc. 5:10)" - Dictionary, p. 692. (Note that this is the admission of an official Catholic reference work.)

The Catholic Dictionary or the Universal Christian Educator and Popular Encyclopedia of Religious Information, William E. Addis and Thomas Arnold; Christian Press Association Pub. Co., New York, (no date).

  • Thanks for this video.I thank God for saving me from my former self.I feel so blessed to be Catholic. And I must say that the Tridentine Latin Mass is SO beautiful, reverend, and sacred. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend finding one.All praise and glory to the Father,Son and Holy Ghost.Amen.

  • Why are the statements come from the saints and popes? not from the bible.. just wondering...

  • Great video for 1.1 billion Catholics and counting....God bless us!

  • I think it's up to 1.5 billion now

  • Ok. I stand corrected. Greetings from the Philippines.

  • Beautiful music

    A Proud Catholic :)

  • What beautiful music! Was this perhaps sung at World Youth Day?

  • Yes it was :D

  • It really is universal. Christ is the head of the Church.

  • God have mercy upon us.

  • For all you anti- catholics and athiests,

Why do you even come to a video like this?

You think one of your hate filled

observations/comments is going to give a devout Catholic a V-8 moment? Wrong.

Newsflash: The RCC has been here for over 2000 years and She is not going anywhere. Not because a bunch of men willed it, but because GOD did/does.

  • There's no solid logic here, it's just typical mawkish post-Vatican 2 stuff.

  • Agreed. The opening 20 seconds are deceiving with the black background, white text and string music. But then the drum beat and Protestant-inspired hands-in-the-air-and-weep "praise music" begins and a picture of John Paul The Small emerges. You can pretty much switch it off right there. Sickly and vomit-inducing...

  • Rcom, to you and all the other people who would have us believe that you have no faith in God ... think about this. If this were a video about why the Easter Bunny existed, you would not have bothered to post. But instead, you supposed naysayers have. And in that action, you have unknowingly proved to everyone that you truly do believe in God. It's just that you are rebellious towards Him and you don't love Him. As do the demons ....

  • It proves nothing of the sort. When someone posts a video entitled "Why am I [religion]?" and then proceeds to set forth reasons for their beliefs and why everyone else should share those beliefs, they are obviously going to be subject to criticism. By your logic all Christians who criticise atheistic videos are actually closet atheists.

  • Agreed. Plus belief in the Easter Bunny has never influenced men to commit horrific atrocities against fellow men. However, if a cult 1.1 billion strong grew up around the Easter Bunny and it started pontificating, issuing condemnation, and spouting nonsense about morality as if it had a monopoly on truth, then it would come under attack by thinking people, and rightly so.

  • god does not exist. get over it.

  • I'm Pagan/wicca

  • What a stupid video, and so are you. That little piece of bread that you toss around and munch on is not God. What a ridiculous idea. It's even more ridiculous than the idea that there IS a God.

Christianity is dead. Even your scholars whose job it is to examine the history of your religion consider most of it to be mythical hocus pocus made up by early Christians.

Feel free to join reality sometime. Reality may not be as fluffy as your world of make believe, but at least it's real.

  • andy- Christianity is not "dead"

Maybe your heart and faith are but that does not speak for the billions of Christians around the world.

BTW- as long as there are priests and tabernacles in the world- Jesus will always be clearly visable in the world.

  • Today is the SEVENTH HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY

of the arrest and persecution of the Knights Templars by the Catholic rat bastards. They eventually burned them at the stake for heresy and other unproved "crimes" at the site of Notre Dame cathedral.

Beware of catholicism, whoes only true faith is to power and corruption.

  • Jesus is the one that saves not Mary who herself knew she needed a saviour. Catholics `worship` Mary and pray to her this is not GODs will! Can Mary get you to heaven? NO! Jesus said that we can pray directly to GOD the father so why do people insult him by praying to others. I argued against the catholic religion and I asked GOD to help me. HE DID! Pray to the Father directly he will listen my friend. GOD BLESS

  • Boy oh boy, do you need some enlightenment. Here's a question, do you ever ask your friends to pray for you? Do you ever ask anyone for help? PRAYING to the Blessed Virgin, not 'worshipping' mind you, is just like asking her for help. Besides, how do get to know Jesus better? Through the people He socialized with! The Saints, those are people whom He very much dealt with. You get to know a person better through getting to know their family, an excellent way is that person's parents.

  • Oh, and for the praying directly to God, who do you think He's going to listen to more, a sinner on Earth, or a fellow Heaven dweller?

  • Rosary is not praying to beads. It's praying ON them to God and Mary. Protestants, in my opinion, are the perverted and lazy ones. When there is a problem in the Church, you fix it, you don't leave it, no matter how long it takes to fix. Do you think God wanted us to be united, or split up? Besides if we all took the Bible literally, we'd all be missing eyes and some limbs.

  • I am a Protestant, and this is why. Mass is never mentioned in the Bible. The nessesity of a pope is never mentioned either. Mary as being holy and infallable isnt either. Neither is holy water, neither is The Rosary (AKA praying to beads). Catholisism is a perverted version of True Christianity. All protestants do is follow the Bible as closely as possible. "Love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength

  • Also the scripture doesn't condemn homosexuality and there are no honest American Christian Evangelists on the planet so. They take the scripture out of context for their own purpose. That is why ALL Christians are hypocrite and liars who fully support Hitler's moral values.

  • nice work :)

    GB

  • ive tried limewire. its not there

  • okay ill look it up sarah....!

  • I think the title is "Jesus Christ you are my life"

  • Long Live Christianity? is that the title of the song???

  • Long Live Christianity.

  • what song is dis????? the title please anyone???

  • awesome video

  • Wonderful video, which confirms why I am catholic with my entire heart and soul!! Who lives this faith will understand the position of the church and won't criticise it anymore. God bless your for this video!

  • why won't the church ordain priests with a vagina?

why restrict this to practitioners with a penis?

    why discriminate?

what has the church got against vaginas?

gender equality is for modern society.

discrimination is for the dark ages.

Help empower those with vaginas where inequality exists.

  • One of the best videos I have ever seen in my life.

    Thank you.

  • The catholic church is also responsible for telling millions of africans not to use condoms, and spreading AIDS across the continent. And it's a major shareholder in the company that is the worlds largest producer of landmines. Not to mention the child molestation. So when you give at church, stop and think, is some of this money going to end up giving someone AIDS, or blowing a child's leg off, or protecting a paedophile?

  • Don´t the Chirch also teaches not to have sex outside Marriage?, if AIDS has spread is more due to promiscuos practices rather than waht you mention... by the way, there´re plenty of Charity Institutions, supported by the Church... so don´t say only half truths

  • @ ForzaSheva1980... telling a continent already rife with aids that condoms are a sin is not a half truth. Promiscuous practices have been happening there longer than the church has existed. Being a major contributor to the ongoing production of landmines is not a half truth. Protecting priests who rape children is not a half truth. These are all facts. I'm sure you don't like hearing it about your church, but that doesn't mean it isn't true.

  • thanks to the people who made this video.. it brings us all together especially through the comments.. Go go Catholics!

  • How can i search for this song on iTunes?

  • Wonderful video. Good music, inspiring images, proud to be Catholic. Peace be with you.

  • Human beings are capable of believing anything. Think critically, and don't believe every text written thousands of years ago at face value by people with little to no understanding of the natural world.

But hey, it's your world, you can believe ANYTHING you want. Enjoy.

  • Why are you downing Christians!!!If you aren't Christian and you don't have anything good to say about them then I think you all should shut your mouths!!!

  • Reasons why I am not religious:I don't condone child sacrifice!I respect women!I tolerate people different from me!I believe in freedom of speach, and THOUGHT!I don't like being threatened!I don't like the moral teachings of religion, they are horrible!I would like to keep MY money in MY pocket! The leadership of every religion never practice what they preach, and get paid well for doing so!I like to ask questions and take a critical stance towards the information put in front of me!

  • The video is well set-up, but all those texts from humans don`t prove the veracity of catholicism. Anyway there are more than 9.000 chistian faith groups. Which one is right ?

  • Why I am Not a Catholic...

View "A Woman Rides the Beast" posted by BereanBeacon on YouTube, 1 hour long.

  • I know that many great work comes from common people. Mother Theresa for example.

  • mother theresa isnt exactly as good as she is seen. There are proves that show how she used most of hte money gained in charity for religious events rather than helping the poor.

  • Don't mind that there aren't too many responses to your video. Just look at the number of views. Very well done. I'm not a Catholic but I am a Christian. God bless you.

  • i love the church and i love my faith. but i'm also a sinner. please lets pray for each other especially for those who are in need of God's mercy, like me. may God bless us all.

  • THE MOST STABLE RELIGION. for a reason

  • I was a Catholic but left it after I realised some truths. Jesus is the one that saves not Mary who herself knew she needed a saviour. Catholics `worship` Mary and pray to her this is not GODs will! Can Mary get you to heaven? NO! Jesus said that we can pray directly to GOD the father so why do people insult him by praying to others. I argued for the catholic religion before I asked GOD to help me. HE DID! Pray to the Father directly he will listen my friend. GOD BLESS

  • I agree with you. Mary doesnt save. One mediator between men and God. Christ Jesus. But reciting the words of Gabriel to Mary, or ask some people who you believe are saved to say a prayer for you, are merely symbolic. Traditions of old that are not related with salvation. Remember that it is the Church that glorified the name of Jesus in all the corners of the world with Hymns, Cathedrals, Martyrs, Art, and Missions. In Jesus name with attend the Lords supper and in his name we pray

  • Great video... however, Jesus Christ You are My Life, was NOT the theme song for WYD Koln, it is a great song and was played many times at WYDKoln, but the theme song was Venimus Adorare Eum.

  • It's interesting that you use the quotes of men and don't cite scripture to answer your own question. This however is to be expected, for the Bible itself reveals that the Roman Catholic Church is a false church. My family was saved from Catholicism, all praise and glory be to God.

  • You are ignorant ! quotes of men instead of the Bible ?? The Bible is quotes of men !! The Church is far superior than the Bible. The Church decided which texts are to be called holly and which are not to be added to the Bible. All Churches created after the last council (4th century) are false.

  • The Church is far superior than the Bible.!!!!! Please think what you have said here!

  • Read the early Church fathers of the 2nd century and see how close Catholicism is to early Christians. Evidence exist mentioning that the elder would start like "the Lord be with you" and the crowd would reply "and also with you" and people were offering around the table oil, and pray the "Our Father" with the hands towards heaven. Does that sound Catholic or Protestant? You can search the historical documents yourself if you don't believe me

  • But were they praying to Mary the mother of Jesus. NO! Don`t look at the history of men but rather the word of GOD.

  • There is NO reason to pray to anyone other than GOD. Remember the temple curtain ripped in two. In the old testament the curtain seperated GOD from Man.

  • of course they didnt pray to Mary. So you're telling me you are giving up all the ways of worship that the first christians historically used because some silly Medieval customs annoy you,to follow the reformation which has created a tradition of its own which doesn't go before the 16th century and is broken in 1000 so called churches. Is that wise?

  • Why I Am NOT Catholic....see the Hope Chronicles Volume 2.

I am a Christian, deep believer in Christ. But I cannot accept "Christ's body and blood" from an organization that continues time after time to protect pediphile priests.

  • Then you better get out of every church. Pediphiles are in all churches schools ect.

  • Yes I agree, Danger lies everywhere. But time after time the organization of the church has enabled and protected these pediphiles with all the strenght and power it can muster. It has already dished out 2 BILLION in damages. To those of you that give to the church...that is where your money is going. There are over 2000 priests that have had credible evidence against them since 1960. Name one other organization that has that level of corruption of pediphiles.

  • first off you numbers are incorrect second if you do a little research on the web you will find case after case of baptist minsiters and protestant ministers of all cults arrested and convited of all manner of sex crimes you can start with the times. and where you find the most deviants is in the public school system. Its just the bigots like yourself think this is a Priest thing. And where is your money going

  • My money goes to a Christian church, which has an open book policy and I can see where every penny goes. Try to ask that of your parish or diocese. I'm a bigot? Speaking out as a survivor of sexual abuse makes me a bigot? Unlike you, I have yet to resort to calling people names. I am no bigot my friend, I am abuse victim, first by a pedophile then by a church. I would just like to know when the people of the church are going to stand up and stop THIS problem. Follow Christ not a collar.

  • God has not failed the church. God is not the church. The church as an organization has failed the people. Failed it in faith and failed it in example. The church is nothing but an organization of men who don't want to loose thier influence of the people it dominates. Christ Saves, the church injurers and then ignores.

  • These 6 reasons do not just relate to the Roman Catholic church, however it is such a shame the Catholic church in particular is so blood soaked, and has been so corruption filled and money orientated at many points throughout the ages. What a shame it has deviated so much from the Ancient church, and the Orthodox. The people I like, just not the church itself

  • By the way, great video! It makes me glad to be a Roman Catholic once again.

  • Why I am no longer an atheist 1. Saying that only "rational thought," "reasoning" and the "scientific method" are the only sources of knowledge 2. Reducing human beings to mere animals. 3. The millions killed by atheists/atheistic governments, eg Stalin's Soviet Union, Mao's China (with many more christians killed and imprisoned even today), Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge, etc. 4. Deep and seething hatred towards people who believe in God 5. Close-mindedness and arrogance.

  • Why I am no longer a Catholic and now an atheist:

    1. Saying that faith without evidence is a virtue.

    2. Denying human nature.

    3. Associating godlessness with immorality.

    4. Hatred toward atheists.

    5. Rigidity and arrogance while claiming to be humble.

    6. Ignoring the damage religious beliefs inflict on others (telling children about hell, telling people not to use condoms, excusing Catholic authoritarianism, etc.)

    7. Insanity.

Don't spam this because you hate me.

  • Please hear me out. I have no hatred toward religious people. It's the ideology you associate with that bothers me. Why are we being told things about reality that have no merit or meaning? Because it's satisfying? Is delusion that necessary for happiness? Why is morality defined in God's terms? Why must we be excluded because we do not adhere to myths? Why can't we find the true sources of suffering and extinguish them? Why is realism so contrary to your faith? Why can't nonbelievers be happy?

  • I had begun studying theology when I questioned my faith. Not that I couldn't make sense of it, but the claims were simply not true. I realized how distanced I was from reality, from science, humanity, and the suffering being inflicted for my faith. Faith is unnecessary for both truth and happiness. I spent quite some time trying to justify my faith, so don't think I haven't heard all of the arguments. I'm not sorry for my heresy. I do not need Jesus in my life. I am human.

  • May YHWH [God] be with YOU in Yahushua's "Jesus" Name. I mean that (smile).

  • Thank you for this wonderful video- tears were falling down while I was watching. I converted from protestants to catholic and it warms my heart to watch this video made with so much LOVE. Blessed be!

  • ..haha, that's like jumping from the frying pan into the fire....innit?

  • LOL...no, it is like like jumping from the empty fridge into a warm, rich filled wonderful bathroom :-))

  • we like to keep our fridges stocked up, - so we don't suffer that 'empty fridge' syndrome :)

  • haha, I hope ol' Noah wasn't there before, - and FLOODED yr warm, rich-filled & wonderful bathromm.....

  • Also Jagger, I feel that you have quite a lot of unrequited hatred in your life, as no one logically or intellectually debating an argument would actually let hatred and vehemence penetrate every word they type. If you really feel that deep of a hatred, I would suggest going to a secular counselor to deal with underlying psychological issues.

  • 'augustus' go see a shrink,..and make it soon!

  • yup, this 'augustus' person, is VERY screwed up. Sounds like a Taliban masquerading as a Christian....(only proves what damage, religion does to feeble minds...)

  • 'augus' - sounds like you have a bad case of 'genital warts' on your brain, - simply by hanging out with the wrong crowd...(go get 'em burned off, boy...)

  • I feel that you have the superstitious and self-deluded mentality of a 1st century peasant, blindly following the immoral dogmas and myths of an archaic and outmoded religion. Your church's stupidity and medieval morality have no rational place in the 21st century.

  • Rationality works fine for some people, but one should remember we do not, infact, live in a rational world. Do I blindly follow like a shepard? No. I make a choice to believe. I've seen your side of the argument before, yes. Believe me or not. It's just that for me, that path doesn't seem to logically work out, if you wish for my reasons feel free to message me anytime you like.

  • And by the way, I could never have enough audacity or hatred to tell someone they will be barbecued in hell for all eternity simply for questioning the validity of ancient works of fiction. That kind of hatred is spewed by YOUR camp.

  • I never said you would go to Hell. Any Catholic who judges someone like that is actually severely wrong. And, believe it or not, We actually encourage questioning ones faith, for we believe it will lead to a deeper understanding of the scriptures.

  • Forgive me if I fail to take mental health tips from an adult who has a magical imaginary friend who's mother was a virgin, and who wasted his "godly powers" on such noble acts as cursing fig trees, filling pigs with demons, and conjuring up jugs of wine, not to mention the threat of eternal hellfire. Jesus meek and mild, my ass.

  • I notice how you conveniently leave out the facts that he also healed cripples, resurrected a few people from the dead, saved a prostitute from being stoned to death, cured a man driven insane, and countless other miracles. Makes it much easier to characterize him your way, doesn't it? Leaving a blind eye to those makes it easy, doesn't it?

  • look who's suggesting a visit to a counselor....Mr.Wacko himself!! How many women's lives did you suppress this week, dear Augustus?

  • All this "no sex" and "no birth control" nonsense is all about one thing-hatred and disgust of women and their reproductive organs. Sex for pleasure, even within the confines of marriage, was denounced by the church until the 40's or 50's. Sex was only to be procreative, otherwise it is a sin. Leave it to the Catholic religion to take all the fun and beauty out of sex.

  • No, more about respect of women Jagger. They don't get STD's, aren't left pregnant with no support, aren't forced to screw up their lives and slave through college, aren't used as whores without getting paid. They don't get STDS and are rendered infertile and are forced to live childless. You may say that sex is equivalent to love, but I can tell you one thing: The girl is looking for someone to care for her and hold her, not to be used as a tool and then caste aside.

  • The Catholic church's stance on this issue is genocidal stupidity at its worst.

  • "the girl is looking for someone to care for her" What girl? Do me a favor and keep your simpering and mawkish ruminations to yourself. I never said that sex equals love, and I don't appreciate your sanctimonious condescension. Your reasoning (or should I say lack thereof) shows the degree to which the catholic church has very little understanding of the real world in which we live. Education, not dogma, will serve mankind a great deal better.

  • you speak like we are a population that comes into the world. lol the Church doesnt understand the world we live in ?we are one billion and 200 m. We are the world and it is the world that lives in the church not the other way around.

  • So, in the end my friend, I choose to abide my my morals not for my own benefit, far from it, but for my future wife. I would hate to screw her over with a sexual disease, or pass it on to my children, which can happen. A story of a dad whose wife was a virgin and his kid had genital warts in her throat...at one year of age. She'll have to have them burned off. Every 6 months. For the rest of her life. All because her dad "had fun" before marriage. I refuse to do that to my kid.

  • Why I am no longer practise my faith.

    1. No proof for skygods.

    2. No gender equality in the church.(will the pope ever be a female?).

    3. Religious conflict has led to wars.e.g. crusades.

    4. The immaculate conception is shit.

    5. The power of prayer is the same asbpositive thinking.

    6. THere are no miracles...ask any amputee ig god has grown back his limb.

    7. Religion is against science

8.Sky gods are more suitable for desert dwelling people who ;ived 2000 years ago.

  • Meaningless rituals, sexual repression, guilt, fear, and shame are the tools used by organized religion to enslave the weak-minded into coughing up their hard-earned money so a bunch of shriveled old celibates can live in luxury and tell them how to live their lives. How pathetic. How hypocritical. How EVIL.

  • 6. They aren't supposed to be having sex before marriage in the first place. Those laws are designed for Marriage. There is no use for Condoms, period. Sex at marriage or abstinence.

  • oh thanks 4 yr words of wisdom, 'augustus'. Now you can step into yr Time Machine, and get the hell back to the Middle Ages.....

  • Libra, It's the classical ages, oh, I'm sorry, you're not educated enough to understand. If you have a problem with what I say, discuss it intellectually rather than acting like a fool.

  • Middle, Classical, Stone Age who cares? Just go back to the cave you came from, - and please do us all a favor and STAY THERE, this time, you twit...

  • Secular Ivy League studies have shown that virgins, and non virgins who refrain, have a significantly lower divorce rate. Another thing: Condoms protect against only 1/8 of the most common sexual diseases and have a failure rate of nearly 20%.The Pill? It's a form of abortion, not contraception seeing as the egg is more crushed then sperm prevented to getting to it, and it greatly increases the risk of cancer for the women, and has a chance to render her infertile for life.

  • hey "AugRom", many medieval scholars say the Middle Ages began in 476, with the fall of the Roman emperor Romulus Augustus, and ended in 1453, with the taking of Constantinople by the Turkish Sultan Mahomet II. (Got that, you twit?)

  • are YOU telling people when they should have sex, 'agustus'? "sex at marriage or abstinence"?? - did YOU make that one up, too? (Oh, pity no one used a condom before YOU were conceived. There would have been one idiot less, - on this planet....)

  • I'm Just stating what the Church believes. Criticize me or not. Thankfully, I was conceived in a marriage, not a byproduct of sexual desires. It's just been proven that those who refrain from sex before marriage -generally- have a significantly less divorce rate. An Idiot for standing up for moral virtues, and pardon my language, choosing not to be exactly the same as a monkey and screwing anything I see. That's what seperates us from animals. Choice. I hope you see that.

  • ..you don't sound very different from the Muslim & Hindu husbands who insist that their brides MUST be virgins before they marry. (anyway, you do sound like some stuffy macho fool) ...and btw, there MUST be some "sexual desire" present for copulation, - or are you telling us you were produced by machines, in a factory?

  • 1. I'm perfectly fine with a women who had sex before but out of respect for her future husband and children refrains from it once more. 2. "Stuffy Macho Fool?" No. I abide by the same tenants which I expect my future wife to do. I have enough respect for her not to go off whenever I please, or watch pornography. It's a mutual decision for mutual benefit. There should be sexual desire, yes, but I'll control it for my wife. If I gave her an STD, I would hate myself.

  • Oh, and by the way, to all you Mary-worshipping Catholics out there, the Hebrew word "almah" was translated incorrectly to "virgin." It merely means "young woman." Sorry to burst your bubble, but it looks as if the old girl was gettin' it on after all, which makes a lot more sense than a married woman not having sex with her husband.

  • First of all..back then a "young girl" was supposed to be a virgin, in the culture of the time these words were synonymous. And about your 6 reasons, They mean nothing because it is about ignorant peoples acts not the wisdom of christ. people wont be perfect, the words of Christ are. I can find another 600 reasons why a person should be catholic today.

  • Oh, so you admit that popes are fallible human beings after all? Maybe when more people realize this fact, less people will needlessly be infected with AIDS and the church's rule over private aspects of the lives of its believers will come to an end.

  • If Christ's words and wisdom are perfect, why do you need the Catholic church, then? It seems like an unnecessary (and sometimes downright evil)bureaucracy to me.

  • because my friend christianity is above all the gathering of the christians, the singing, the love the lords supper..do this in memory of me..remember? What we call now catholic church, is the traditions of christians from the first martyrs of Rome until today..a beautiful thing that must be kept alive.

  • 6 reasons why I am no longer Catholic

    1. Shelter given to pedophile priests

    2. Mass murder aka the Crusades

    3. the Inquistion

    4. the witch trials

    5. the Catholic church's alignment with dictators like Mussolini

    6. It's absurd doctrine about condom use that furthers the spread of AIDS in regions of Africa that are predominately Catholic.

I could go on, if not for this goddamn 500 character limit...

  • Jagger, in response to your reasons

    1. Would we really be practicing forgiveness if not? We'd be hypocrits like so many others.

    2. That's nothing new to religion, but the Church offered a full apology and denounced it. How many other religions do that?

    3. Isolated areas, much more effective in keeping faith were Jesuits

4.Which ones? Quite a few were by protestants.

    5. And shelter to Jewish Refugees as well as resisting Communism

  • "would we really be practicing forgiveness..." Wow that is by far the most repulsive excuse I've ever heard for the sheltering of child-molesters. The fact is, the church didn't want to be involved in a public relations nightmare if these priests were arrested and convicted. That's all it was. Covering their own asses. Fortunately, the church's inexcusable handling of that situation was brought to light, and less and less people are giving creedence to such a corrupt institution.

  • "It's absurd doctrine about condom use...."

Mr.Jaggar- the spread of AIDS comes from personal irresponsibility. Don't have sex, won't get AIDS.

Don't smoke, won't get emphazema. Don't smoke pot, won't get high.

And did you know condoms are not so effective protection agianst the disease?

AND did you know there are more Muslims in Africa then Christians? And that the Christian population is divided between Catholic and Protestant?

  • "Don't have sex, won't get AIDS." Your response is even more absurd than the doctrines you blindly follow. No matter how many ridiculous doctrines your silly church comes up with restricting sex, people will still do it because the impulse for sex is stronger and more natural than obeying the dogma of a corrupt and contemptible cult. A bunch of octogenarian virgins telling people how to conduct themselves sexually, while all the time sheltering their pedophile priests. Unmitigated hypocrisy.

  • Your quite a hostile person, Jagger, in my opinion. Technically, it is true that if you don't have sex, you really can't get aids except through faults in the quite secular medical system. Your "Impulse" argument is BS. I'm sorry, Humans can control impulses, unlike animals. I'm sure you can control an impulse to punch someone or have sex with the wife or girlfriend of a friend, you can do it whenever you please. If you can't, then your an animal, and I feel extremely sorry for you.

  • You're missing the point. What I'm saying is that you self-righteous Catholics would rather see someone get AIDS than dare to educate people about "the evils" of condom use. You think if you tell people to "just abstain" from sex, they'll listen? It just goes to show how idiotic and archaic religion is.

  • Condoms fail, therefore even -if- they are wearing condoms, they can still get aids. Infact, if you have the slightest cut, even the slightest cut anywhere from your navel to thigh, you can get aids from sex. We also tell them why to abstain from Sex, which contrary to your belief, might actually have benefits. So if we tell them It protects them, we are hypocrits and endangering far more people then the much more effective method of abstinence.

  • That is not the rationale your church cites for discouraging condom use in these sub-Saharan missions. They teach that it is SINFUL. TEACHING ABSTINENCE DOES NOT WORK. Nothing is 100% effective against std's, but condoms significantly reduce risk. This arguement is not about the effectiveness of condoms, it's about fear and loathing of human sexuality. Period.

  • Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. + Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

  • Almost no scriptural backup at all. Most of your reasons are from quotes of popes. And St. Ignatius of Antioch's quote "Let all follow the bishop, as Jesus Christ follows his Father." Bishop = man. Jesus = Son of God, was God in the flesh, and according to the trinity He is 100% God, just like the Holy Spirit. There's something wrong here...

  • subzero- you are wrong.

  • This video is beautiful and made with love. Truly inspired but Our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless our holy Church, our Pope and all humankind.

  • i applause and proud to be catholic, all of you believer in CHRIST lets use this medium to propagate and defend our faith to power of the darkside.

  • this video is great!!

  • Heaven is such a drag. there is nothing new to do after the first 100000000000 years. It's all a rerun after that.

I will tell St peter that he can shove it; there is no way that I want any part of that boring place.

Just imagine looking at the same face for a 10000000000000000 years or seeing your mother in law for 20000000000000000000 years. It is worse than hell.

  • ukid your a bad joke, ur psychopathic brain kills your souls even your still breathing.Supernatural?want 2 see?just look around you, the rising of the sun, air you breath even u is a big miracle. what a waste, just take for granted the gift of love that our creator have given.

  • You are the very definition of cynicism.

  • Why I am no longer a catholic.

There's is no proof for a supernatural.

Religion has been a cause of wars and conflict.

I have no interest in heaven.

I am not interested in praising any supernatural. I

don't want to be a salve.

  • ukid-Ya may no longer be catholic but ya sure are a beleiver in the dark one. Repent or be sorry when your time comes.

If there is no afterlife, why be "good" now? Go rob and steal, do drugs, whatever ya fancy.

Wonder if the perp or victims in Virginia would agree with what you say.......

Men cause wars by thier sins, not God.

By thy Holy and Immaculate Conception, Oh Mary Deliver Us from evil. Amen.

  • This was so beautiful. Thank you.

  • It's a great video, however it takes a high Christological path and a Conservative ecclesiology. While faith is everything, faith cannot keep us on a couch or prostrated before the Blessed Sacrament for the rest of our life. It demands that we take action and build the Reign of God here on earth, and to go out where the suffering is greatest and to bring Christ to the most downtrodden people, and to see Christs face within them. This video does not capture that spirit.

  • We are all given our gifts from the Holy Spirit. Some can and do stay prostrated before the Blessed Sacrament because that is what they are called to do. Saint Faustina, who are Lord used to give the world the message of The Divine Mercy, comes to mind. Still, others are called to do what you describe and what Mother Teresa personified. God Bless.

  • Unfortunatley it is not that easy to help the unfortunate folks around the globe! We are held back by the very system we enjoy in our society! The system of societies disables us to do this in a wild scale! Jesus after all I think said there will always be poor folks! The world runs on a democratic capitalistic system! To simply share the whole worlds holdings is like impossible! The churchs teaches them of God and his love and eternal salvation! I think it is doing its part.

  • I thank you for this video. It is very well done. I hope to see more of this quality.
