  • the cat closer to the camera is bigger than the baby! LOL

  • Unless a cat has *issues* for whatever reason they are absolutely fine with babies.

I once read somewhere that cats like babies because they are warm! Or something funny like that! So the only dangerous is if the cat actually sits ON the baby O_O.

  • I always slept with my cat as a baby.. His name was socks an i had him till i was 6 when we moved an he ran away but cats arint bad around baby's along as you clean there coat with a wipey before they get by one an put mouth drops in the mouth than its all good

  • This is wonderful !!!

  • Kittys know babies its so amazing. I am 6 months preg and moved in with my gma recently and she has 3 kittys who hide from everyone apparently but they all come to me and like to nuzzle their heads on my tummy and sleep against it. Weird huh?? but so cute.

  • Hahaha awesome. Cats, babies and Antiques Roadshow!

  • It's not unusual for cats to want to cuddle with newborns.. Babies are warm, and quiet (mostly).. They all seem pretty mellow, and obviously theres supervision or there'd be no video here to comment on.. lol.. I think it's sweet :) ..

  • cute

  • aww

  • Cat are loyal creatures, I love them (^-^).

  • Oh my gawd they love they're baby :)

  • this is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo endlessly cute!

  • Before my son was born, one of my cats would inspect every piece of baby furniture/swing/exersaucer/high chair as I put them together. When my son came home, my cat was in love with him. He would often sleep with him in his bassinet and in his crib when he got bigger. My son is 9 now and my cat is 10 and they still sleep and snuggle together.

  • @kelaltieri It's so cute, the bond they have .. they grew up together. I raised my cat from the time he was 4 weeks old & found out I was pregnant only a few weeks later. They're "brothers". Your video is very sweet. Ignore all the ignorant, nasty people .. they obviously don't have cats or kids & don't understand the animal/human relationship & bond. If you were close enough to film this adorable moment, you'd be close enough to intervene if something went wrong - obviously. DERP DERP. :)

  • this video is so adorable,i heard if a cat guards a baby its pretecting the baby like if the baby is the kittens baby.

  • I truly believe , bring children up with animals, they respect them and dont "tease" or " hurt" an animal, all my daughters were brought up with cats and they have a love for all animals, A child that hasnt been near animals, with first instinct is to pull them arounf and in some cases really hurt them. You can tell a child if they havent had animals with them, I know theres people that just dont want pets, but at least take them to a family that has to get used to them for their future.

  • even to this very day Ive had cats around me for over 45 yrs, from the tender age of 2, my first cat was "snowy" that would sleep with me, all the time, years gone by, to this very day, I have cats and I have a brilliant immunity to animals no allergies, if im under the weather or ill, one or 2 of my cats will sit on me , lay over me and ive even woke up with my cat curled around my head, cats are like healers, they know when youre not well, so they transmit their heat. your cats love your baby

  • Gorgeous kitties, and the baby is lovely.

  • im lost in the black hole called cute youtube

  • @420steezywonder It's better than the black hole that is WEIRD youtube. :)

  • You know, in the old days, they would have said that the cat was trying to steal the kid's soul in its sleep. These days we know better. The only thing they're stealing is the body heat! :D

  • Lovely!

  • We used to have a boycat who used to do that to me. when I was couple months old, my mom would sometimes leave me on the back yard to get something from inside and our late cat would be curled around my head when she came back out. She tried desperately keep him away from me because she was scared he would smother me or something but everytime she turned her back to me for more than 10 seconds, he would be curled around me. for the record I did not get bad effects, I´m healthy and no allergies

  • Guys... The cats aren't lying on top of the baby so what harm are they doing?

They're not suffocating it, they're not clawing it, they're not blocking it's face, they're not biting or even licking it.

Yes, they're probably only lying next to it because it's warm, but so what?

Cats are lovely to cuddle, just like dogs, babies love them and it'll grow up to respect animals because it's had an early start with them and the parents are careful.

(also the cats are clearly taken well care of)

  • @wjm4268 The fact that you've said 'parents with babies' just show's how nonsensical your comment was! What else do you think parents would have?? Animals shouldn't be left alone with small children, that's common sense, but quite obviously someone was supervising this in order to actually film it!

  • That is adorable!!

  • Cats have evolved living with humans so that their vocal cries are on the same tonal range as a baby's cries. Part of that is to invoke a sense of caring in humans to get them to take care of said kitties, but it also works both ways in that babies crying, to them, sound just like cats/kittens crying. There are even incidents where cats will become aggressive/overly protective when a young child starts crying if they perceive someone as a threat (like a babysitter, another animal, etc).

  • Although cats are one thing, dogs are another. You need to keep the physical capability of an animal into consideration. Many large dogs can easily kill a baby and it does happen on occasion with some degree of frequency with certain breeds. An animal is an animal and can suddenly act wild for no reason at all, but a cat or small dog or a cream puff (golden retriever) simply isn't physically capable of doing much damage if it goes berserk. You should never leave them alone with an animal though.

  • @OnideusMadHatter

The worst offender of the entire animal kingdom is the human! If the human doesn't kill it's victim, then it does a helluva lot more damage, psychologically! Sometimes, the wounds NEVER heal.

  • @OnideusMadHatter Wow, you know alot of stuff about things. Thanks for sharing,

  • Two furry angels with paws looking after their heavenly charge here on earth,,any wonder why i adore cats?

  • Okay, that's adorable, all three of them. Looks like they had a better reaction to this baby than my parents cats had to me - I was sniffed and then ignored. This little girl got a pair of guardians!

  • I love this :)

  • Aaaaw so adorable...beautiful baby and cats

  • the one at the back's like "why do i have to guard the ass?"

  • @ivangrozny27 he is on poo patrol

  • Aren´t babies supposed to sleep on their back?

  • @HomoYoutubus yeah they do that and around moms are here!

  • @HomoYoutubus Under a certain age yes, as babies cant roll onto their back or sides if they begin to smother themselves.

Young babies in hospitals can sleep in the foetul(?) position(on front with bum in the air) safely as they are watched closely by nurses.

  • My mom's cat Mickey adopted me. He'd curl and snuggle up to me, ride in my stroller with me, sleep next to me in my bed. . I miss him! Lovely creature! Those cats would risk their lives for their little girl!

  • obviously the mom isnt stupid. Settle down crazy commenters. I have 3 cats and they love my now 18m old too. Very sweet and cute. How do you know they aren't protecting the baby???? Of course they can be. Adorable! LOVE this video :)

  • Agree with TheWhupper. Don't ever leave these two alone with a baby.

  • They're not protecting it, it's just warm. They're not daft.

  • Antique Roadshow in the background

  • Adorable...Aaaawww...

  • That's adorable

  • Sooo Sweet :)

  • this is so cute reminds me at my grandmas house when i was a baby

her dogs and cats would curl up next to me when i was sleeping

  • @wjm4268 Oh do fuck off you boring retard.

  • cats and dogs curl up next to you, because you are part of thier family/pack. Cats/dogs also know when you are ill, and again, curl up next to you or lie at your feet. these cats, think of the baby as their family, and are loving her. as long as the baby is being watched and not elft alone, sleeping with the cats like this is perfectly okay.

  • @wjm4268 That is so far from the truth. All that is, is an old wife tale. I had many cats, two sons and brother and sisters. None were ever harmed in any way, shape or form from a cat. As a matter of fact, my one cat use to protect my oldest boy from a certain person that was a not a good person. He knew it, and did not want him near my son. Never smothered him either. Only loved him. They know what they are doing.

  • @wjm4268 It's called adult supervision. My kids were raised around cats and dogs and NEVER were suffocated or hurt by any of them. Common sense prevails in any situation. To recommend that this video should be taken off here is ludicrous and shows your lack of knowledge, maybe you are just attention seeking. Either way, this video is adorable and thank you to the person who shared it.

  • @wjm4268 Are you retarded? A cat or dog, wioth the right temprement will protect a chils or any other animal. Perfect example at 0:11, they both hear something and look so there not even sleeping, its an old wives tale that cats suck the breath out of a child.

  • @mitsucanter247365 yes it is a fallacy.

  • Daniel in the lion's den...

  • aw :)

  • Awwww~ When I was a baby I had a cat sleeping next to me in bed too :)

Now I have 4 cats that I adore sooo much :D

  • Did it ever occur to you that you should speak with a Pediatrician before following examples on youtube? Please try to be an adult if you're a parent.

  • awww so adorable! I want both of those..hehe

  • I am looking into getting a blue burmese kitten. Are these blue burmese? Because for some reason I can't find good photos of that colour anywhere. They all seem to have bad lighting or some other problem with them.

  • I had a brown burmese called Layner when I was a baby, She used to sleep in my cot my mum tried to keep her out but she would always find her way there. When I cried she used to come and tell my mum, When she had her own kittens she had them in my brothers bed and when she wanted to eat she would pick her kittens up and put them on someones knee. I grew up with her she slept in my bed until the day she died I never played with any dolls just her. Burmese are wonderful cats!

  • beautiful cats!! xx and adorable baby xD

  • Cat Man in the making.

  • So do all these mean spirited, ugly mouthed, judgmental people go to the hundreds of cat/baby videos and say how stupid the parents are? really? I think it just shows how ignorant they are. Oh and by they way it only BUILDS the babies immunity to allergies that are airborne or in the cats coat. As long as responsible parents keep an eye on things There should be absolutely no problem with these sweet kitties sleeping with these children. Have a blessed day. These parents did a great job!

  • @Sweetspiriteva I can't do anything other than laugh and shake my head at the BLATANT stupidity and ignorance of some people.

  • such sweet & cute animals, cute baby :)

  • When I was born my mother tried desperately to keep our fat black mix cat from getting to me. One morning she found him curled around me in my crib, I think I was three or four months by this time. The night before I'd come home very sick, she thinks he crawled in there to keep me safe. After that if I was sick, you could find him near by at anytime of day. He lived to be 17 and died when I was 12. I still miss him dearly.

  • @Deathlypalegirl yes can sense illness also they like hot body temperature

  • @Deathlypalegirl awww you made me get teary eyes with your story... they are wonderful pets. my cat always comes meowing when she hears my 9mo old waking up. i love my cat. i could be in the kitchen and not hear my baby wake up from her crib and she comes and meows.

  • @Deathlypalegirl awww .. such a sweet story. :)

  • Cute but other people remember the cat might lay on the baby and suffocate them, so i hear you should make sure the cat cant get to the baby at night especially

  • So so sweet!

  • That is too cute! Fast friends since the beginning I imagine!

  • Aww. This is so adorable! <3

  • Raised by Kitties

  • That is adorable ♥

  • Reminds me of finding our old part Burmese cat curled up in our infant's crib. He loved him and my other two children that followed, and always did, until the day he died of old age at 19. Cats are extremely gentle with babies.

  • why do people who hate cats watch cat videos? Is this the modern version of s and m? by the way...awesomely cute video!!

  • Oh I love it!!! How sweet

  • So adorable protective loved it

  • one angel and two beloved gards :-) Merci , j adore !

  • Awww, I love it when babies and cats love each other!!! TOO CUTE!!!

  • she was uncovered... perhaps the cats were keeping her warm

  • This is beautiful. Absolutely.

  • now that is the cutest video i have ever seen!!!

  • they are very beautiful cats, where did u take them from?

  • stomach vs. back for babies: my brother and I are five years apart, my brother being older. when my brother was born, the docters told her to put him on his stomach to prevent sids. when i was born, she was told to put me on my back to prevent sids. moral of the story: chill.

  • @ThePrivateJoker 1- It's a parents decision; back or belly....... 2- Cats DO NOT stink if you care for them with pride & love- I KNOW THIS- my family has 7 cats & the only thing their house smells like is fresh-cut onion :) 3- YOU ARE JUST RUDE!

  • @ThePrivateJoker retard

  • @hardkandy91 Oh what a clever response. Speak with a Pediatrician kid.

  • @ThePrivateJoker Whatever, man.....

  • @ThePrivateJoker And what the fuck is wrong with you? You probably stink more than those cats.

  • @MsRuffledfeathers Please speak with a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL you 20-something morons.

  • @ThePrivateJoker Ignorant cunt.. if only people were informed that it matters on how much the owner cleans the cat to determine how clean it is. Hell even we have natural bacteria on us so noone complains. "Junk" seriously? Cats are nowhere near junk.. hell no animals is depending on its hygiene.. These are loving animals.. the junk here is you... So in actuality what the fuck is wrong with you?...

  • @MyHeartWobblesForYou Ignorant? cunt? You are a F'N MORON. You must be a high shool drop out. Try talking with a Pediatrician, if you even know that is. You're not even old enough to be a parent. If you are, then it was obviously a MISTAKE, JUST LIKE YOU.

  • @ThePrivateJoker fuck off

i bet ur not even a parent

the baby is on it's side so its ok

  • @ThePrivateJoker My kitty watched over me from the moment I was born until the day she died. I believe she still comes to visit me sometimes.

And guess what? I ended up having zero cat problems.

Also, did it occur to you that the baby could have rolled over on her own? I'm getting cats before having kids and I will make sure my cats and my children share a lovely bond. Cats are really compassionate. They don't stink!

    End of.

  • Aww... group nap!

  • @banjosandwashboards ; yea but on the side it's still scary because if they accidentally fall/roll over on their stomach their face can get buried in the mattress or the blanket which will cause them to suffocate from lack of air and they have no way of rolling them self back on their back. . I am too scared to put a child on their side or their stomach.

  • That is soooo cute

  • I watched Cats 101 on Animal Planet and some breeds adore people. Burmese was one of them. It takes my breath away how gentle natured animals can be sometimes..........

  • love this vid!!!

  • So sweet

  • so dangerous

  • this is very cute. all my kids have been around cats at an early age as well and neither of them are allergic. In fact my husband bugged my cat(lovingly) to the point where shes very tolerant and patient with all three. Cats have this mother instinct, especially to baby's. wish they wouldn't lick your eye lids though lol. nice video :)

  • awww! so cute!

  • Such a sweet video - thanks for putting it up!

  • Wow this is nice! My cat wouldve waited until the baby was asleep and then steal anything the kid was wearing on him! So he's not the most thoughtful cat.

  • That video shows that as long that you're a baby, animals or humans, will find you cute and want to cuddle.

  • Burmese are natural mothers

  • I think my heart just melted! Super sweet vid of your beautiful family (baby + cats).

  • I have received some strange comments, but the last comment upset me. TO give you an update, Erin is now 4, and the cats still adore her. They sleep on her bed at night and she will cuddle them like dolls. She is not allergic at all, and I believe that by being exposed to the cats early she avoided being allergic. Erin has a younger sister who is 2 and the cats are totally besotted with her too.

  • @TonyGate To all the parents ; please avoid letting your babies sleep on their sides and stomach because that is one of the leading causes in SIDS.

this is a beautiful video btw.

  • @ten1000fireflies I slept on my stomach when I was a baby and I'm 21 now.

  • @TonyGate Not to mention the fact that Burmese are as close to Hypo-allergenic as a cat that has fur can be... I think it's wonderful that they're so good with your baby!

  • @TonyGate Pediatricians actually recommend children being exposed to pets because they'll have less allergies when they're older, so you're totally right.

  • @TonyGate And thus, you have made your daughters 'cat people'. :3

Can't blame you tho. They can be so freaking adorable...

*punches a wall to regain manliness*

  • @TonyGate Don't worry at all about the idiots who comment on here... I have four cats who protect my baby niece and have already bonded with my unborn son. I think if you do introduce animals to your babies you can quickly figure out if they are allergic or not and also helps avoid most common allergies. If anything like @Deathlypalegirl said, they can notice when someone is sick. It is also proven that cats are very much good for your heart. Note: I AM a mother and also an aunt of 8!

  • I wish I was little enough to sleep with my head smooshed in one of my kitties' tummies!

  • Is that....Antiques Roadshow on in the background?

  • 0:11 "SQUIRREL!!!"

  • Aww that's really cute:)

  • What did they hear??? tell me

  • That is amazingly sweet. Their posture says that they are watching after Erin. Good for them and God bless.

  • @2013JOHN Have you got any proof for that or you just like sharing with people urban myths?

  • Burmese cats are the best.

  • Oh my god. That is just so cuteeeee.

  • i hope you took a picture too not just this video so erin will look at it in that future and say that was me when i was a baby with those 2 cats ;)

  • tonight's episode: The Bodyguards!

  • 2 to 3 THOUSAND POUNDS? O:

  • aweeeeeeeme!!! thats to cute!

  • Those cats are stunning!

  • awww soo cute :3

  • i think you mean that the cats enjoy being on the extra soft pillow and being next to a nice, soft source of heat. "guarding" the child, i think, has little to do with it

  • @yolenin1 Perhaps, but my cat has always played he role of the guard and even went after a fox that came in through an un-latched back door. I'm just happy that my dog was there to help my kitty cause the fox might have torn her up otherwise. Point being, you never know. They might just see a pillow and heater, or they might actually be protecting the child.

  • Thunder....Thunder....THUNDER CATS HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nawww!

  • Was the baby asleep before the cats came to curl up nex to him or did he fall asleep with them next to him?

  • @Dietpepsiahh That's what I want to know. That'd be adorable. ^__^

  • These cats are amazing

  • When my baby is born I want to get a kitty :3 I've always loved cats ^w^

  • @kagolae They can be really gentle and caring. :) Just be careful he/she doesn't sleep too close to the babys head..

  • @Emeloo2 Since I last posted my comment we have 2 rescue kittens :3 our roommate just had a baby and they like to stay at his feet :3 and I totally agree, I won't :3

  • those cats are huge and I dont mean fat but built big

  • So cute!

  • I just love how at the same time the cats both looked to the right as if saying, "Who goes there?! If you're gonna try to get the baby, you'll have to go through us!" lol....this is sooooo cute!!!

  • The cats think the baby is a kitten...lol

  • omg that is soooooo adorable

  • that's so beautiful. That's just so amazing.

  • My cat loved sleeping next to my daughter when she was a baby, and well, still loves sleeping with her. Must be a cat thing. It's really cute.

  • honestly this is the cutest video i've ever seen.

  • my mother had 11 kittens when i was about 1 year old, when she goes out early in the morning and if i am awake, all the kitten will be under my bed .. if i try to go down they will jump onto my bed and sleep around me. as i am small and weak i can't push them ... thus they are the best friend for babies after all or security guards, for dog will bite babies but dogs are best friend for men

  • Sentry cats protect and serve

  • AAWWWWWWWWWWW THIS IS SO CUTE...

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww so cute

  • burmese are the 1 of the nicest cats no jk promis

  • Oh this is so beautiful and loving. I'm glad to see people who aren't afraid to have pets around their babies. Pets are just as much a part of the family as the babies are!

  • @lmbarak: I couldn't agree more! I have 3 cats and I'm due to have my first baby in 4 weeks. I hope they all get along this well! :)

  • Yay! Babies AND kittys!!! Way 2 cute!

  • how is babby formed ;(~!~~!?~?

  • @kkrakenn

    babies come from sex. #LOL

  • You know the cat behind the first one? I was thinking how would it react if the baby farted while asleep? XD

  • Our cat would alert my husband and myself when our son would wake up. She was very persistant and would continue meowing at you until you followed her into his bedroom. We referred to her as The Little Mama.
