most people would say that you should drive safe cause if you get hurt your gonna be part of the problem and prolong car to the patient. but i agree with you nice driving good job
@Finallap Listen to the radio or what ever chatter is in the back ground, doesn't sound like the video is sped up to me, I think it's just amazing driving to a code 3 keep up the great work! I hope to drive as good as you when I respond to a code 3 after a year or so when Paramedic school is done.
you think this man does this for the money hell n,o for fun no way, he does it to save other peoples lives no matter the risk to himself 'I think he deserves some damn respect I applaud him
@darknethacker Easy retoric darknet... Think about it, if you're driving perfectly safe with your family. What would you like to happen? This idiot crashing in the back with "his" 2,5 tons ambu with XX speed at 70 mph, while you're driving 35. Kids dead, you and your wife heavily wounded, or that this idiot drives just safe, which took him probably 10 secs more to arrive at the scene...
@SuperTrodan are you aware how much driver training anyone that uses blue lights has to go through? Anyone that has driven under blue lights is 10 times better than any other driver on the road. And even if they only got there 10 seconds sooner, that's 10 seconds longer they have to save a life. My opinion, anyone that saves lives I would shake their hands and say thank you, rather than question their driving on youtube.
I think response drivers have balls of steel. I was fortunate enough to have a go at a mock police advanced drivers course a couple of years ago. It's not as easy as it looks. I found I couldn't think quick enough. I could read hazards but couldn't process that information fast enough. Doing it at speed was terrifying! You guys do a fantastic job. Did the patient recover?
@skatamasta If you dont perform CPR the patiens chance of survival drops with 10%/min and if you do, it "only" drops with 7%/min. We usually stop resuscitation after about 30min with some exceptions. Funny enough though statistics shows that if you start CPR during the first minut after their cardiac arrest the patient has a lower chance of survival than if you wait one minute and then start the CPR. Can't recommend practising that approach though :-)
if the usa had an auto bon like that theres NO WAY an ambulance or any emergency vehicle could go that fast due to how americans drive. they know how to drive there. great driving!!
Really? Or are you just joking? My fire department's ambulance here in america can run about 95 mph, and I've run about 90mph going to a call in it before so I know it can run fast. Another fire department in my area's ambulance can go about 100mph. They can go pretty quick.
Hard to see how Chris has been driving response longer than Tom has been alive, since his profile says he is 19 and Toms says 24, someone is telling porkies I think, and as for the driving, Blues and Twos down a motorway, hardly rocket science is it ?!
Thanks for your comments Tom,I have been response driving longer than you have been alive! This call was to a cardiac arrest, the family were doing CPR. As for 'Get over' The six cars behind this 24yr old idiot had seen us coming in the dark(as we do not blend into the background!)Ah well, as usual, somebody has to criticise the fantastic work we do! If YOU were dying Tomo, and we were responding to you, should we stick to the speed limit and be safe, or risk our lives to save yours you prick?!
As a member of the ambulance service you would have been taught advanced driving which promotes progress over speed and maintaining saferty at all times, it is better to get there 45 seconds later than not at all. An attittude of recless speed with a "red mist" to save a life over getting there safely is a poor attitude and is not a credit to yourself or your colleages. I have been an EMT for just under three years and myself and my colleagues it is safety over speed at all times.
@chrismoyles123 People critisizing you! jeez! there the type of people who winge when you go over the speed limit to get there quicj to save loves, but like you say, they would winge if you couldnt and had to waste time stuck in traffic and there friend etc dies! theres no pleasing some people, no matter how great and safe the driving is!
Nice safe, and responsible driving.
I hope to be a paramedic, so hopefully i'll be able to rive safely at that speed too :)
@chrismoyles123 I appreciate your dedication to your job. BUT. I'm concerned about your reaction to Tom. In years of experience, you seem to have lost the idea of safety. Not only for you; also for others. Whatever important your job is, there's no excuse for unsafe driving. And a blue light run doesn't place you above the law.
Trust me, I'm a lawyer. Perhaps it's time for retirement, Chris. BTW if you're driving longer than I am alive, you shouldn't have a driving licence at all.
That was terrible response driving, you hit the built up traffic and didn't ease off at all! And as for "get over" if you'd made better use of speed (i.e. less) then the car would have had chance to react to you...
AWESOME WORK GUYS im doing my training soon all the best STAY SAFE

Think about it, if you was in arrest, which would you want the ambulance to go; Fast and speed, or go slow, get caught in traffic and stop at lights.
Fantastic Driving
