should have read more books bro.. try read different version of bible.. luke, john so on.. you'll see the truth.. all of them simply trying to copy each other at same time adding/removing his own words.. not GOD! all fabricated!! search for Ahmed Deedat / Shabir Ally.. you will see the LIGHT!
@nickasrul I'm sorry but you're mistaken. The Bible is the Word of God - and you can say what you want about it, it stands up to all criticism levelled at it because it is true. I recommend you look into it instead of believing everything you've heard. Jesus himself said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Look up John Chapter 8 on Google. I would love to know what you think.
The point is, don't choose religion. Religion cannot forgive sin and saves no one. Only Jesus can do this (His work, His righteousness - nothing we can do for ourselves). Trust in Him.
@visionfudge Somehow you seem to dislike the word "religion". So, let's use "belief" instead. So you have chosen your belief, but you don't explain why it is preferable to all other beliefs.
@Troul478 With respect, I'm not sure how many other ways I can say it?
If you study any religion, all of them say, "I can do it." By their own efforts (or good deeds), they are trying to make things right. Christianity is quite different. It is understanding that we are helpless, and that it is God alone that can save us. "Not of ourselves - it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8). Hope this helps.
@georgebarry007 Yes, its a start but that's all. Shame so many don't bother reading or learning anything else. Often because of deceitful messages like in this video.
@Hufflewaffle This isn't deceitful. It's Biblical truth mate. Not always easy to swallow, but I'd rather know the truth than to go on through life living in denial not knowing what's really going on in life. I trust God.
@sketto I do understand what you're saying. The problem is that sin brings death, and the only way to fix it is to have someone die in your place - someone perfect. Clearly none of us are, which is why God sent Himself as Jesus to pay the cost for us. So His righteousness and death functions as full payment for our sin. Now, anyone and everyone who puts their trust in Him can have eternal life. Search "Propaganda - G.O.S.P.E.L." on YouTube. It's a very short clip that explains it really well.
@mskillzeee I know, sounds crazy huh? :) No, you're almost right.
The point I was trying to make is that most religions believe they can earn forgiveness for their wrongdoings by doing good things. But our good works aren't enough.
"The wages of sin is death," the Bible says, which is why Jesus came to die for us all, totally undeserving. That's God's great love for the world right there!
So it's not by our good works that he has saved us, but by his mercy (Titus 3:5 and Ephesians 2:8-9) Thanks.
You play the role of an unconvinced non-believer then cite the bible and God. What a surprise! Also, you're exactly correct, brother. Evolution doesn't make sense! Dogs dont have kittens, pigs don't produce rabbits, cows dont have lambs, men aren't born of virgins, people don't resurrect from the dead, invisible angry jealous gods don't commit genocide.... err, wait. Nevermind those last few things. The first are miracles, the last are real. Wait, no! The last are real the first are miracles. =/
@Dynamic0381 Evolution has never been scientifically proved. It is something that has to believed only by faith (believing what you've heard or accepted evolutionary drawings and such).
Dogs don't have kittens, pigs don't produce rabbits and cows don't have lambs. Birds produce birds. Fish produce fish. Each species brings forth after its own kind. That's no theory. That's a fact. Why then should we believe that man originates from another species? It just makes no sense.
@Dynamic0381 I don't know too much about the exact location of the garden of Eden - there's plenty of info online offering probable locations and alleged proof, but I can't comment right now.
For me personally, I know I can trust the Bible. The overwhelming evidence - even the irrefutable evidence of Bible prophecy (see Matthew 24, Luke 21, 2 Timothy 3, Ezekiel 38-40, Joel 2, etc). confirms this book is true. It hasn't let me down yet! So I have no problem believing there was a garden of Eden.
@Dynamic0381 No garden of Eden or original sin? Based on what?
Because you choose not to believe it?
Genesis in the Bible gives us the full account of creation by God - where everything He made was "good." The first man (Adam) chose to disobey God and brought sin in to the world (Romans 5:12). It was never God's will.
I suppose He could have created us all to be zombies, but where's the love in that? He gave man freewill - and man freely blew it. But God has shown us great mercy in Jesus Christ.
uhm...you seem like a good person, you should be a catholic. Or a christian if you don't believe that you need an angel (Saint) to guide you to god. Other than that, just have no religion and make up your own belief.
I’m no longer confused because I realised that when Jesus said, as written in the Bible, that He is the Way the Truth and the Life, He was right. Life has had purpose since believing and trusting in Him.
Islam is a man-made religion - mans attempt to reach God. Christianity is unique - it is God reaching out to man (through Jesus Christ) which the clip explains very well.
@georgebarry007 Jesus(PBUH) was a Prophet, just like Muhammad, Moses,Jonah, and all of the other Messengers of God(Peace be upon them all). The Bible was sent to a particular group of people while the Quran is sent for the whole of humanity. Islam is not man-made. Quran is preserved while the Bible has errors due to the modifications of human beings. Therefor, in essence, christianity is man-made, not islam.
@georgebarry007 that's fucking bullshit... Islam and christianity isn't very different. If you ask a muslim, they'd say the same about their religion... I honestly don't get how so many numbskulls breathe in this world
@MagnusHarvest With respect, Christianity and Islam are fundamentally different from each other, right down to how each view God and Christ. Any Muslim will tell you that.
@visionfudge you only say that because you are a christian.. I believe in none of those religions to me they are the same, and they both from the same place, their myths take place in the same time, heck, to me mohammad and jesus could be the same person, different eyes, different story
@MagnusHarvest In Islam Jesus was only a prophet, you have to keep laws in hopes of maybe making it to heaven. Islam came along well after Christ and Christianity.
Christianity, Jesus is the Son of God, God in human flesh. He is the only way of salvation for all people. He paid the price for sinners on the cross and rose from the grave 3 days later. Salvation is all of God, but not so in Islam, there is law to keep, so man has a part in salavation.
@ladygagaschwa God clearly states in the Quran the qualities of those who will go to Paradise. Such as being kind to parents, respecting others, and other qualities as well. All you have to do is read the Quran, see how the lifestyle of the Prophets(peace be upon them all) was, and ask questions. So, if you have more questions...bring 'em, and God willing I'll answer them for you.
@dhooltube The Bible says that we are separated from God, and salvation does not depend only on my efforts to get back to Him. This is the classic difference between the Christian faith and others. In Buddhism, you work and work your way into Nirvana, an ultimate enlightenment. In the Islamic faith, it’s always “In Sha’ Allah,” the will of Allah, if one reaches God. These systems of thought have no assured way of knowing where you stand with God.
and if you don't like any of them, congratulations!

When you base your "argument" on "scripture" you make it clear that you have already chosen one religion out of many. But without explaining why!

'Religion' is striving to do right by God?
No. Religion is mythology. Christianity may struggle with an imaginary father figure but 'Religion' does not.
Where did I read about not bearing false witness?... oh yeah.

I didn't ask for Jesus to be crucified and I would have tried to stop it if I'd be alive. Why is killing your son considered a good thing?
