You can learn to be organized...I like that it talked about doing something small each day to contribute to being organized/tidy. I am learning how to spend my time to balance everything out- but if you have the desire you don't have to hire an organizer. They probably make things go faster- but they are really pricey :) Great vid!
Not all organizers are pricey and because of their skill, can make a project go must more quickly and easily SAVING money in the long run. And for some getting started is the hardest part. Hiring an organizer just to get you over the getting started hurdle is always money well spent. Just ask anyone who as worked with a great organizer.
I have found that since getting organised I am more assertive because when I was in chaos if someone claimed I had forgotten something I thought they were probably right, but now I am organised I know if I forgot or not so I can stand up and say "No, I didn't get it wrong, you did" and I usually have the evidence in my diary.
Organization is my passion too, I am lucky to be a ''born organizer'' as well! I always help my friends with their rooms, if you need help, I am here :)
Even those that say yea I am cluttered but know where everything is at. You honestly don't know how it feels to breathe. Really feel organization and space to think. Everytime I declutter something I feel lighter.
This was very helpful. I come from a long line of pack rats... we all have a creative/artistic nature and we tend to see the beauty, interest and "possible" usefulness in EVERYTHING!!! I'm beginning to see that I need to start thinking differently; that it's not just a matter of cleaning, but a new way of living. I'm going to make my own group of videos on my own personal de-cluttering and organization. :o)
I agree purging stuff you do not use is key to getting organized. I run 2 business and have 3 kids and a husband and the only way I can keep organized even remotely is to choose one day in the week and do the laundry and deep decluttering room by room. Surface clutter is one thing but the deeper stuff that takes up space I find is just as important.
I hate clutter. It is fiendish and multiplies itself, especially paper clutter. I used to be organized, what happened to me? One thing is we buy less stuff, that helps a lot. So does Flylady and their free program.

Being organized is a learned skill and a way of life, i.e. it is a habit that starts in the mind.

Aren't really organized people all uptight and stressed though?
gymdawgsrule100 2 years ago 6
No, not at all. In fact, they often can be more laid back and relaxed because they have time to enjoy life.
JessicaDolan 2 years ago 5
@gymdawgsrule100 It's the opposite because you can thoroughly enjoy your free time when you got everything done. And you'll have more free time, too.

January is ruled by Capricorn, who is "born-organized" so there isn't a better month for it. LOL
