  • haljamlaahmaanajagafi.

  • Hey, nice cover man!! I love your version!!! I'd love you to check my version!!

  • zJust caught this first time==_VERY COOL....you need a VOCALIST...redo---with someone singing.....I have additional LYRICS if you do...Dave :)

  • Also i agree, out of the guitarists i know maybe two appreciate the bass, and when my band pokes fun at the lack of importance of bass i show them the video i filmed of them playing blvd of broken dreams before i played bass for them. That shuts them up every time haha

  • at one month i was still playing weezer songs. You gotz skillzzz.

  • Nice cover. =)

  • Your lack of alternating fingers is bugging me hugely. ALTERNATE!

  • Nice one!

    /watch?v=tzpmor2dgD4

  • Tip #1: Loosen up, bass is about feeling the song.

Tip #2: Be sure to learn all the fills.

Tip #3: Learn Your Bass and amp. You can change that raspy sound to true bass, which is what Pink-Floyd uses.

  • good cover man i love this song first song i ever learned

still use it as a warm up

    keep it up man

  • wait, a guitarist can be a bassist but not reverse? that is very untrue

i play both, our guitarist plays both[ not at once of course]

there are many famous musicians who play both

Are you meaning to say you can't play guitar in the bass style? I find it tougher to strum a guitar with the upstrum walks and there are chords which are vital to a guitar, while sliding is more important in bass

  • Timing is off.

  • For god's sake loosen your fingers and don't play like a robot! You are concentrating way too much. Let your fingers move with the rhythm. Let the notes flow into each other. All I am hearing is plunk, plunk,plunk...

  • @gixer121121 I've played with plenty of musicians before....what I was trying to say was that a guitarist can be a bassist but a bassist can't be a guitarist. And my last comment was about a year ago and now I disagree with what I said about bassists.

  • But if you for ask for any raise, it's no surprise they're giving none away.

  • anytime i play this on my bass it makes a rattling noice. idk how to make it stop. do u think my strings r to loose or what?

  • @OrangeWolf6 Press harder

  • @DEMONATA1995 ok thank u lol im kinda new at this. i can play this song i just have problems with my bass rattling ^^

  • @OrangeWolf6 Oh, yeah i get that, im a noob at bass lol, have been playing 3 months, check my covers if you want :) I have some cool songs on there from fall out boy, Prodigy and metallica if you like them.

  • @OrangeWolf6

The rattling is probably coming from the action of your strings. The strings may be too close to the neck.

  • Very good for your first month, try to get out of the habit of one finger it takes some practice but two and even three finger playing styles open up the horizon to an incredible array of more advanced music.

  • VERY GOOD!!!

  • eres mexicano cabron tocas chido

  • badass

  • You had some work to do on this song... So now, one year later, let's see a polished up version! Post a new cover, man. I'd love to see the progress.

  • dude this is really good...check out my channel please

  • You didn't "make up" the part starting at 5:47, you just repeated part of the intro. If you like I can send you the tabs to play it correctly.

  • @ceviche666 If he didnt play it correctly, then he must have made it himself...

  • oh i have that bass in black.. the jack is falling apart.. its not that great..

  • what brand of bass?

  • its an Epiphone. Epiphone Embassy IV

  • 1 finger style yeah! >=D

    ( =( )

  • get a pick

  • @bobowarner Lol wut? For a bass.

  • yes

  • @bobowarner don't be a fag

  • i did start with the guitar 6 months before this video was shot. now that, was the first time i held a stringed instrument

  • Good job, bud.

    ...and a great song

  • Shut up. That depends entirely on what you're playing and what kind of music you listen to. Bass might be easier to "learn", but I'd argue it's far harder to master. You need to learn a bit about music before you go around making a fool out of yourself.

  • I play both. Again, your idea of bass and music is immature. Search YouTube for Flea, Chris Wolstenholme, Vic Wooten, Stanley Clarke, Les Claypool, Jaco Pastorius... You must be a terrible guitarist if you don't appreciate bass, ask any musician.

  • So I'm a terrible musician who can play Van Halen, AC/DC, KISS, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and more of those types of songs? Get a life.

  • @achickensandwich stfu faggot ur the immature one

  • @SkullcandyFan2010 Erm, how exactly am I more immature than some illiterate kid calling me a faggot without explanation?

  • @achickensandwich Anyone who don't appreciate what the bass does for music (especially rock) is a huge ignorant snot with no knowledge of anything having to do with guitars.

  • @achickensandwich most of them are all posers that pass all day trolling on youtube, with a crappy 2 years olded 100 dollar Stratocaster by their sides, wearing a guns and roses t-shirt with sweet child of mine lyrics in the back. They just play guitar around 2 months thinking that they're awesome and last 2 more years think that bass isn't necessary. I mean, just 95% of guitarists that think that way. Try to play a song without drums or bass. It won't be successful.

  • @achickensandwich It's a shame I can only give your comment thumbs up only once.

  • @nbridges12 AHAHAHAHAAHAHA

If only you knew how fantastically idiotic you sounded right about now.

  • More strings does not equal harder instrument. There are 6 string basses out there. Plus, have you ever seen slap bass? That shit is way out of your league.

  • Yeah you think so, huh?

  • I played my friend's bass guitar, and right when I picked it up, I played Money and I could easily play slap bass.

  • is that so? could you please play Tommy the Cat for us and show us how good you are at slap bass?

  • You call that music? Fail

  • Lol, see you just proved you don't know a thing about bass. :)

  • Well that's because I don't have one.

  • you could easily play slap bass o.O

  • Exactly that's what i was saying and I now have a bass guitar and i played slap the second i picked it up (after playing Money)

  • Well either you are the greatest bassist that ever lived, you didn't really play slap the second you picked up a bass, or you did but you didn't do it properly and actually you failed.

One of those three things happened.

  • I've been playing guitar for 5 years so bass is easy...so far. I've relied on my guitar teacher to show me how to play most most of the songs.

  • And, I figured out how to play slap on my guitar when I was bored, so I just learned how to do it on bass.

  • yeah he could, but why? is not a funky shit, it sounds cool like that

  • wow you can play this part on the guitar, same fingering and frets

  • would this bass be good for metal

  • change your strings to lighter-sounding strings by D'Addario. These are the factory strings provided with the bass.

  • @louiscfc93 you should try and see if it is

  • @louiscfc93 Some metal guys use this style of bass. Some use Jazz basses. Some use Music Man or Schecter or Ibanez. As far as strings go, some guys use D'Addario, some use Ernie Ball, some use Bass Boomers, etc. Just about anything works. Its about the specific sound you want. Figure out what metal bass players you like and look at what they use. That will give you a good start.

  • Very nice for such a short period playing. Try using at least 2 fingers in your right hand. Like walking, step after step: 1,2 1,2 1,2

  • mastered it, this video was taken within a month of me holding a bass for the first time

  • @omkar1001 Rather modest aren't we!?

  • awsome cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • james jamerson one of the greatest bassists of all time played with only one finger. its easy to keep in time with 1 instead of 2

  • Hey le gros tas une osti de face de cul LOOOOL

  • hey thats well played but do check out my video response to this...i got this riff in like 2 weeks of holding a bass guitar...nd then like in about a month i performed it on stage and sang as well!!!...CHEERS!!! pink floyd fan....check out the 4:30 minutes video.

  • hey nice cover

wat type of bass is that

  • Epiphone Embassy IV. My first bass ever. Just change the bass strings and it is as good as any other reasonable one...

  • i got them same headphones i learning to play the song now i got the notes and every thing my teacher played in the band rush

  • your teacher didnt play in Rush dude -_- fail

  • Your teacher probably didn't play in rush.

  • im jsut curious, did you get lessons or did you teach your self because your just suposed to repeat the G and B for the ending and when you get to the second bar when the vocals come in your supposed to repeat the G and B and then continue with the F instead of going to the B and F on the four frets...just advice, not criticzing...

  • ha ha ha ha sorry buddy but he is infact in the RIGHT key.

perhaps you should learn to play the song corectly before you crap on someone else.

  • learn to spell and type before you comment

  • he's playin complete the right way!

  • Sorry m8 but your WRONG. He has it the right way

  • Learn to spell before you comment. P.S. he is right.

  • hy this is jhonny.i could recomand you something!Try not to play so short notes.I prefer when i;m listening pink floyd to make those nothes longer and not so worry.you're playng great after all

  • Good cover, but it has no feeling to how it's played.

  • one of the best money covers ive heard

  • use 2 fingers instead of 1, I think it is better that way :)

  • Well if you play the same tone, it good to use 2 fingers, but at different tones you can mess up.

    My opinion, so DON'T flame . . .

  • Yea, I suppose. It's just easier for me that way.

  • Okey play as you want.

    BTW u rock.

  • i have the same bass.

  • Loosen up those fingers on the plucking hand ;)! But it sounds cool :)

  • not too bad

  • i have the exact same bass in the exact same colour, dont worry!

    embassy's are sick.

  • Nice! although, during the guitar solo I noticed you don't play the D note on the A string. It is |:2 2 5 4 3 0 |2 2 5 4 3 0 |etc...

  • i have been messing around with the bass for about 2 years now. nothing steady or serious. But yea kick ass dude.

  • Really good man, keep up the rockin!

  • Very Good! This song has one of the best bass lines ever!

  • Maybe something a little more difficult next time?

    Good job though.

  • u played the cover like u were the actual bass player-amazing and keep it up

  • i love how your baring both with your pinky :O my pinky would fall off

  • Im thinking about saving up for a bass pack with that Epiphone Embassy

  • how much was that bass? i'm looking for a good epiphone bass

  • Good work...keep practising...check out Kings Of Leon.

  • which song of Kings Of Leon in particular?

  • Dude.. thats really awesome...... Keep it up..

  • pretty good dude! i'm in love with your guitar :D
