A good actor can play many different parts and Vernon Dent certainly proved it here.
He started as a "heavy" comedian with Mack Sennett back in the 20's and often was paired up with another silent clown Harry Langdon. I've seen just about all of Mr. Dent's comedy work but have NEVER seen anything done by him in a straight dramatic role. This little clip is an extreme rarity!!! Thanks much for this!!!
