  • She is the best. I saw her up close and personal at a show in T.O. at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern and I wrote a song about her that night driving home in the rain called 'Walks on Water'. I was with the late great Richard Bell who was friends with the drummer she had that night. She touched my soul and I pray that God watches over her.

  • Shelby Lynne is on tour & there are still some shows left.

The UK soon: Glasgow, Middlesbrough, Liverpool, London.

Then Northern Europe: Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg,

Copenhagen, Aarhus. Then the USA: Portland - Maine,

Londonderry - New Hampshire, Fall River & Northhampton - Massachusetts,

South Orange - New Jersey, Fairfield - Connecticut

Albany & Westhampton Beach (Long Island) - New York,

Wilmington - Delaware, Fredericksburg & Northfolk - Virginia.

Go to her web site for info.

  • always have liked her . she is so hot and has a voice to kill . :)

  • Love Shelby's interpretation of this song. The song itself reminds me of the Kristofferson classic "For the Good Times."

  • Great cover of the Tony Joe White classic. Shelby does it justice but she didn't write it.

  • Chazz, Excellent slide show to complement Sheby's soul-deep masterpiece.

Shelby's concerts transcend. The woman is without peers.

  • "Could you go far enough to get away from your heart"......brilliant line, thank you for sharing this gem of Shelby's .......Peace

  • Not a bad version and a good voice, but a bit choppy for my taste.

  • Nice job on the slide show to one of my all-time favorite Shelby Lynne songs. IT's a shame. Shelby is one of the best singer/songwriters of this or any other generation, but there's still alot of people who don't know who she is.

  • take the best ..

  • Actually I think Norah is very different from Shelby. Norah is by no means a "jazz artist" but she has delved more deeply into other styles that transcend the country genre. I think Norah is too influenced by her producers and she's always struggled with her niche. I'm a jazz fan but find much of Shelby's music very pleasing. There is an emotionally honest raw component to it..... right from her heart..... has this lady had a sad life??

  • A beautiful woman with a beautiful voice.

Hoping to see her in Clearwater FL in November 2011

  • Good job on the slides, chaZz. This artist transcends genres. Shelby's art sends the listener to a special place. Yes, catch her live, and you will be delivered.

  • One of the most overlooked and under appreciated talents in country or any music genre.

  • She's a pleasant lady singer but there are many others who are much better. Without a lush production behind her she would just sound plain ordinary..

  • @m06een00

She may not have the best singing ability but that's only part of it. She has the feel, the interpretation and the phrasing which is what separates her from the same 'ol same'ol that we hear on the radio all day long, not to mention the songs are great because they're not factory pop-outs like so much of what we hear these days.

  • @m06een00

Catch Shelby live and you'll change your mind. She sings from the heart; she plays a fine guitar, and her songs are well constructed. Again, catch her live.

  • @m06een00 there is not LUSH PRODUCTION behind her. The tracks are actually quite bare. I'm not a country fan at all, but "I get" what the majority of folks are saying in this thread. She possesses a genuine delivery of musical simplicity with a feel that is magnetic. And that's quite a compliment from this guy who's been called a musical "jazz snob".

  • @m06een00 Way to go and completely overlook the emotion she conveys as well as the TONE of her freaking voice. Did I mention, her songs are just plain GOOD? THOSE are the things that make her unique and keeps me coming for more. You might as well go and say Norah Jones is plain ordinary.

  • @tonewheelz Shelby's not that much different to Norah whom I find for the most part 'plain ordinary'. Only when she recorded the Herbie Hancock River album did she show what she's really capable of. It's a pity Norah doesn't do more jazz, but then I haven't heard that much of her as I lost interest in her 'country stuff' early on, which bored me rigid.

  • astounding and beautiful.

    thank you

  • Her Phrasing is just incredible!!! The 2 Best Femaile singer's today Shelby & Adele. None Better!!

  • Shelby is just great, Wher am I now, very much a Dylan sound. This is to my friend Glyn.

Muriel xxx Thanks for posting ChaZz4479

  • So truly gifted. One of a very rare breed. As emotionally powerful and touching as it gets.

  • Great version of this song, she has got a such lovely voice. Elvis recorded this in 1973 it was released on an album call Raised on rock. Im sure he would give shelby 5 stars for this version. LOVELY.

  • New kids on the block Beirut have brazenly ripped this song off on their track "poscards from Italy" let me know what you think

  • Einfach nur schön...

  • Shelby is about the baddest bitch out there. There ain't no bubble gum country sanger that can touch her.

  • @sometimesboy Hell, you right. Crude words but damn, you right.

  • Wow, just when I was thinking cute, beautiful, sexy, insightful, I bump into this video.... Huh, guess all that Shelby needs is a bunch of me, wrapped up in something warm and comfortable.... next to a bon fire,, after the crowd thins out, we could share dirty jokes, smile, & laugh.... Yep, guess she just needs to call me.... Funny how easy that is for me to figure-out....

  • Even though she didnt write it, she does it such justice. powerful baby powerful. this song was in my rotation nonstop during a rough period. along with a bunch more from her and her sister! they r so damn good its scary

  • Shelby, if you ever need a hug, give me a call. A short one, no problem. A longer one, I'll have to consult my wife, but I'm sure I can work something out. Great song.

  • I saw Shelby Lynne in a very small intimate setting: The Belly Up near San Diego. She was just excellent, and a very charming woman. The whole audience fell in love with her. One of the best shows ever.

  • Oh! Beautiful. Never knew Alison had a sister who sings. And WILLIE has obviously recognised the quality and perfection. No further comment necessary xxxxxxxxxxx

  • Lovely slideshow, you did a great job. It shows all her sides, not just one.

  • Yeah, you did a great job! Definitely one of my all-time favorite Shelby Lynne songs. I never get tired of listening to it. And, as far as I'm concerned, Shelby is one of the greatest singers we've ever heard come down the pike. She makes those so-called singers who win all the stinking awards look like amateurs.

  • how could anyone not like this voice

  • Beautiful

  • No one sings blue songs like Shelby...from the heart, love you girl!!

You're beauty is inside as well...

  • Wow,...You were reading my mind, from some yrs. ago!.... Well done Lady, well done.

  • Great Tony Joe White song.

  • Heartbreaking!

    Tissue please...

  • @Timsmusic100 That is a horrible attitude to have: the baddest bitch. Also, what is a "sanger?"

  • yeah shes pretty good also she has amazing eyes
