  • gud idea

  • do the straw get into the cattle eyes

  • @wiiplayingmadman no, they close them.

  • so thats where im going wrong. ive got to get me one of these!

  • Does the cows enjoy being showered like that?

  • how much does the shredder cost???

  • Any respiration problems...for you or cattle?...Simple idea tho

  • @BarneyEire0900 No, but that shed has a good air flow, dust would be cleared

    in 2 - 3 minutes.

  • Do you ever have any trouble with chopped straw getting in their eyes?

  • Not so far. They generally lower their heads & close their eyes.

Some cows walk into flow of straw for a scratch, while others walk away.

  • May I ask why you have the short chop kit on you chopper? If your using it for bedding an open yard/ feeding silage there is no need for it.

  • It came (secondhand) with it in, have thought of taking it out for a trial, but haven't got round to it yet.

  • tidy vid lad

  • Cheers.

  • Nice. The shredder takes all the fun out of it!

How long does feeding and bedding take now including loading time?

  • I'd say 45 mins.

  • Does that mean you have to get out of bed at 11:15am now during the winter months lol

  • Up at that time of the morning!?!?, you must be jokin, far too early.

Be about that time of day you'd be heading for the birches roundabout to hide out till quitting time, waste a time putting spotlights on your wagon. ; )

  • would you recommend the bale shredder for feeding round bales of silage to cattle?

  • It does the job, bit slow on silage.

    Teagle 808 would be better.

  • Good vid!!!

  • Thanks.

  • Great video as always!

  • Cheers.

  • 5/5

  • Mighty video as usual! What horses is that little case putting out?

  • Supposed to be 82.

  • The mighty mx saves the day again! lol Do you have to take the net off those bales before you shred them? Ours you don't but its a different breed of machine all together.

  • Some just chop the net as well, then cut or burn it off the rotor now & again. I take it off though, saves cutting it out of the spreader.

  • Good video guy !!!! :D
