With all due respect to Aerosmith, Kiss, Motley Crue, Queen, the Ramones and the Stones, Extreme was the best live band I've ever seen period. Saw them many times at Bunratty's and the Channel in Boston and they never, ever disappointed. "Pornograffiti" was my "Physical Graffiti", "Three Sides from Every Story" was my "Dark Side of the Moon". They're cool dudes to boot, those of us in MA who knew them early on (even when they were The Dream) are proud to call them our own.

Cherone comes across to the whole audience like he would to one ordinary person standing next to him. Down to earth these guy's are and friendly. East coast bands are good natured, you never see a bottle hurtled at these guys unlike GNR, etc.

no rock band alive can touch the backing vocal harmonies of Pat and Nuno... even Gary, one of the greatest rock singers around, knew this, and felt no need at all to bolster their parts, which so many rock lead singers have to do live...

argeed. They REALLY rocked back then. I had a tape from a gig in Féile, an Irish festival about the same time. This is pretty much identical. They were so tight, instruments and harmonies.
