  • omg

  • i prefer cook island dancers - the way they dance is much cleaner and looks really nice compared to these tahitian dancers - plus when they dance there foots always moving ; a good dancers feet are usually flat on the ground

  • i'm doing a tahitian dance. Can anyone help me get the beat playing in this video? or any good fast beats?

  • great job :) love the costumes!!!

  • i love the choreo

  • I wanna marry a girl who can move her hips that fast while I am Plowing into her in the bedroom !! That would be the perfect wife !!

  • Love the head dresses

  • Their control is amazing!

  • any technik used to do that?

  • can i have the beats?

  • Comment removed

  • oohhh...me like

  • What's the name of this song so I can use it for my Ote'a ?!

  • ho is the name of this o'tea or song??? please is urgent

  • can someone please teach my wife to do that?

  • @bigotrysux work out, lol. i used to do that when i was in middle school and haven't since then. whew! it worked out my thighs and abs. a lot of fast hip circulations. it's easy and practice=).

  • Really mature... this is a TRADITIONAL dance, why would they [sexually] exploit it?

  • i love how most of the work in on the lower body. If you cover the bottom parts with your hand (like half the video space) it's like they're waltzing with their upper half.

  • what halau is this?

  • It sounds like the music is saying "chiquita"

  • Awesome!!!! Almost as strong as my halau!

  • Which side is the wrap too be tied on ?

  • such good dancers! I wish I could do that!

  • this was so good!!! what song is the one of this video?! love it!

  • it's amazing that they can do so many fa'rapus for so long. i mean, i can keept at omis, but that's about it....i need to tone my skills......

  • I've seen this exact dance being practiced by Corrinne, but good job tho...

  • nice dancing but hope you know that in competition when a costume peice falls off you get docked 10 pts or so(especially tahiti fete of san jose)

  • this is nice

  • whats this song called??

  • omg i love this!! i found a place on the island im at in hawaii real close to me that teaches this, i cant wait!:)

  • there is nothing more attractive than this. i respect who ever can do this.

  • @forkman22222

thank you, i guess i'm respected....although i can't do fa'rapus for long, only about a minute then i'm put back to omis.....it;s tiring.

  • wowwwwwwwwwww

  • I've always wondered HOW they dance like that XD

  • @Mousegirl913 guess they'ver had years of hip shaking to do something like that!

  • great! they dance wonderfully!

  • @ xdoorkiee, actually Tahitian is not just ALL in the knees... The more you bend your knees, the more one can swing the hips out to make the skirt move & keep the shoulders still, of course... Ahhh, takes me back down memory lane.

  • Wow!!!!

  • @BabyGirlGoddess

Its really easy once you get it (:

You move your hips in a circle. But, make sure your knees are moving with your hips. If they arent moving, then it isnt correct. Then, once you get the hang of making a circle with your hips, put some speed into it (: Hope this helped!! :D

  • Hitia O te Ra is the best poly dance group :))

  • nice song. wat's d name?

  • how do they shake their hips like that?

    i tried, but failed.

  • @BabyGirlGoddess actually you dont move your hips that much , its the skirts that make it look that way. you move your hips in a certain motion and then the big skirt makes the movement seem faster. its really cool my friend is from Tahiti and she showed me how. if you have a flowy skirt and roll it up alittle you will see what i mean. That is my little amatuar take on it.

  • @BabyGirlGoddess its not really that hard..just move your body in a circular motion but for your fa'arapu it has to be fast. but you have to try to keep your feet together when you shake and try not to move your upper body. that is what creates thee illusion of it looking soo easy to do, but in reality its pretty intense. hope this helps.(:

  • @EmmaManuatu1993

    thank you : )

  • @BabyGirlGoddess This is kinda late.... but Tahitian is all about the Knee's. Not really bout' the hips. Focus more on your knees. Just watch them. ;]

    >> I would know. cx I'm Polynesian. xDD

  • LA VERDAD SI SE MUEVEN BASTANTE BIEN HAY OTRAS MALHECHISIMAS QUE SUBEN SUS VIDEOS Y NO SE AGÜITAN PERO ESTAS BASTANTE BIEN Y TAMBIEN SU TRAJE

  • This is really fucking cool, and the drums are ba.

  • That was a great otea.I think that otea was easy and it is.

  • I really liked this otea :] Thanks for posting

  • Awesome! Love your hip heis.

  • Just awesome!!!!

  • Very sensual dance. No wonder Fletcher Christian mutinied to go back for a girl who could dance like that!

  • You can't be still when the drums roll. Cos the girls sway at top speed!!

  • very well done.

  • i love tahitian dancing and this is one good group. i love the uniform!

  • Wow!!

  • Ahh, this is great!

  • you guys are super good!! but that one girl in the back didn't have a big fluffy skirt??

  • Her hip ban fell off, if you look closely on the floor in the back you can see it. She's a professional because she still kept dancing... the only time you'd stop dancing is if your top or your pareo would fall off...good on her
