I remember this part actually confused me, during the battle with Dark Samus, because I had no idea I could shoot her attacks back at her. :S I do like the graphics of the second game the best too. Possibly even the story line... I love how all three games are very much the same but are pleasingly different in storylines. And I was delighted to see the screw attack. =D

@PhazonKing As for Other M being great, I think it's too soon to say. That's your opinion, but if your annoyed, you shouldn't be. Not everyone will like this game/feel the same way as you. I personally don't like how the game has auto-aim when you side scroll as opposed to aiming yourself like the original side-scrolling games. It makes it too easy. As for the 1st person perspective aspect, I would've like it better if they let you move backward and forward, not just stand still.

I beat #2 today (using the guide). I started playing the Trilogy beginning of this year. I put it off for a while because it didn't look like something I wanted to play. But, I was bored as hell and went into #1. After 16 hours of tedious and agonizing gameplay, I beat that. Same thing for #2 (tedious and agonizing). And I expect the same for #3.

I'm a gamer, but many games are no fun to me at all. The Metroid series so far, however, has obvious production value. Not fun to me, though.

It gave me the enjoyment I was seeking, and I'm pleased with that. It did have some of the repetitive and back-and-forth elements of the formers, but not too much.

Samus's model needs to have one non- generic look. I like the model in Super Smash Bros. but she looks too much like a Barbie doll, too perfect, which makes her a little generic. I personally think that the blonde hair should be bit of a slight dark hue and her eyes should be a light green, maybe even turquiose (you know, a mix of green and blue) for that matter. And, easy on the breasts, she's not a sex object. Modest breast size. She should have some kind of Chozo tattoo on her or something.
