I bought this movie off itunes. It was really good. Page plays a few measures of "Ramble On". Really cool. Also, he is filmed while listening to some records. Shows his regular guy side as he plays air guitar to one of the songs that inspired him. Very cool.

The Edge pushes buttons on all the effects he uses... Jack White builds his own guitar and it sounds pretty dang cool.

I highly recommend this movie to the fans of rock guitar. It is very interesting.

I watched the documentary and the U2 guitarist did not belong. I like that U2 cares about people with their humanitarian work but with true guitar prowess he has none. Yeh he can use a ton of effects but when you sit someone down with just a guitar he sounds pretty dull. Pedals should not be your cruch. Your unique style should define it. And with that cord he showed here all he did was not play one string its not complicated.

I get what you are saying about the Edge's place in this movie because his approach is so much different. Where Jack & Jimmy are pretty parallel.I think it was done intentionally to show the contrast between the different styles used with the electric guitar. While I personally found Jack and Jimmy's perspectives much more interesting. I thought it was really cool to see them all come together & share their different perspectives. Each one played an important role in this movie.

Watched this on Blu-ray the other day, a bit disappointing. Jack is relentlessly kookie, Mr 'the edge' takes boring to a whole new level, and they dont give enough time over to the actual meeting of them with Jimmy Page. Jimmy at least is enthusiastic and loves playing. The out-takes of them together are more interesting than the movie, we see them being real talking and playing guitar together.

I think they wanted to show the "generational" thing that's all - Jack's a great performer and guitarist - yeah sure there's 100 other's they could have chosen - we all know that but it's still a nice inclusion.
