  • Why does the last scene need Korean song ARILANG? Is this movie made by Korean? So nobody believe the history from this movie. Because Korean always fake the history of Japan and Korea.Arilang must be changed to SAKURA SAKURA.

  • Please talk louder I had to do turn it up all the way!!!!!

  • It's pronounced ee a ya su Tokugawa not ee yasu

  • nice audio

  • i enjoy myself korean music"ariran",thank you

  • Is it possible to get the audio corrected? It comes in and out; not able to follow your diolog.

Feel free to send it thru YouTube link, please.

  • -How hard can it possibly be to pronounce things correctly? Its KYO-TO not KI-YO-TO. sheesh

-Mongols never actually made it into Jpn.

-Boshin War: Saigo is forced his hand, after students from his military school attack and seize arms from a govt post (I think in Satsuma Domain).

-Samurai are not as much pissed out their swords as they are the LOSS OF THEIR STIPEN. The samurai are paid in rice alotments and the Meiji Oligarchs disbanded it.

  • I enjoyed this and found that it was very accurate. However, it kind of bugged me that you pronounced most of the Japanese names and locations wrong. BUT, it was still good!

  • japan's honour will never be restored until the samurai chased away the americans from their soil

  • I hope not to start some internet flame war or anything. But the video could have done well to mention slight world war 2. As a typical Japan lover, I know we hate to talk about it. But the influence that the samurai's disbandment had on Japanese troops in the Sino wars and world wars are difficult to ignore. Most particularly for their behaviour and the katana that most officers had at their sides.

  • i feel ya man. I would have loved to, but it would be off my original topic. I revised and im putting that one up too. I only have a ten minute time limit, it's 9:39, and the revised version one me first place at districts

  • sorry, cant put up revised version yet, have to wait till states are over.

  • In order to understand WW2 you must be very knowledgable about Taisho. The birth of the Left Wing social movements in the 20s failed as a buffer against the Right Wing movement had just as much to do with WW2 as did the govt take over and political assasignations by the "Young Officers" (1930 something). A lot of politics and dont forget Korea and Manchua, both in Sino and Russo Wars, these were HUGE. Many say they ARE the turning point in Japanese and world Colonialism... and stability.

  • @ShingoDingoRingo said "In order to understand WW2 you must [...]"

In order to understand WW2 you must first acknowledge that the conflict begin much earlier then the Battle of Pearl Harbor, and that this subject is much larger then a few battleship sinked by the underpowered Japanese navy and aviation. Then you start your study in Europe with the invasion of Poland by Germany in 1939. You suffer from typical americunt's america egocentrism.

  • Most modern countries were not unified until somewhat 3-400 years ago. And plenty of countries like China were only just unified in the 20th century. And Italy in the 1800s.

And even countries that were unified but fell apart.

Video is very good and mostly accurate. But the intro made it seem as if Japan was one of the last countries to unify.

  • The sounds much better Ralph. Very good but there are a few grammar errors.
