  • Approximately 200 Canoga Park High School Students are involved in the garden. During some weekends students, parents and community members volunteer in the garden.

  • December 13th the school is doing a pre-celebration of the 50th Anniversary when Martin Luther King Spoke at the School.

  • The raised beds are completed, students are adding the drip systems before plants are added.

  • The Green Learning Garden is in the middle of construction. So whats completed - Green rod-iron fences replaced the 90 year old chain linked fence, Cistern, drains, irrigation and above ground gardens are completed. Green Houses are being constructed. 30,000 bricks have arrived along with a new BQ. Much still to do much work completed.

  • For the past 2-months construction for the 1 acre parcel had been the infrastructure including the drain, water lines, cistern system, and foundation for the green houses. As of Jan 1010 the green house are being erected.

  • The CP High Green Learning Project is still moving forward. During the Summer West Valley Occupational Center worked on a security plan and LAUSD Facilities worked on finishing the site plan. We hope to provide an update very soon. We to are anxious to get the project moving forward.
