The Clinton's and Gore's sent their kids to Private schools. The Public Schools are good enough for your kids, but not good enough for their kids. Return the education tax dollars to the parents so that the poor families can escape from the Public Schools.

This is a complete straw man. First, the establishment clause does not say you cannot discriminate against a religious practice for a non-religious reason (for example, polygamy and child-marriage are illegal.) Second, the government has already dealt with this problem when it comes to universities. There are government college loans; if this were a problem it would be a problem for college loans too. The solution is that the school has to be accredited.

The separation of Church & State is only an issue when the State FORCES us to send our child to a Buddhist or Hindu or Christian or Muslim school. When the parents get their education tax dollars(vouchers) returned, the parent decides what is best for their child, not a politician. FREE THE PUBLIC SCHOOL KIDS! Democrats love to control people and imprison those who long for FREEDOM! The Democrats are the largest recipients of money from the U.S. Federation of Teachers. Hillary is owned by them.

Regarding politicians sending their kids to private schools, do you really think that kids of high-profile polititians can learn at public schools without being harrassed? I doubt that quality of education is the greatest concern in many of these cases.

Yes, because throwing money at the problem always works... The expenditure per student in D.C. is about $24,600. Please, please show me a private high school that costs that much per year and doesn't put to shame the public schools...D.C. private schools have tuition costs of roughly $10k per year. "Scheme" to tear down our public schools, huh? And, to hear liberals talk, one would think the "children are the future". Or, wait...was it "teachers-unions-represent-a-t­hird-of-delegates-at-the-DNC"?

Your ignorant comment reminds me of those ill-informed folks who used to bitch about how the Japanese school system is superior to America's school system. What they always forget is that we attempt to educate EVERYONE: the rich, poor, smart, dumb and even the folks who don't want to participate.

To expand on what I said before... Answer me this:

Why are the secondary schools in this country so far behind (last I checked, we were ranked in the mid 40's), yet our institutions of higher learning (whether that be community college, technical school, or four-year schools, as well as grad schools) are unanimously considered the greatest in the world? The obvious difference is more competition.
