@GreenQuasar I'm using adobe Illustrator 10 to make the mouths and general special effects. Though all the illustrator programs will work as will corel draw. Glad you enjoyed it =]
@Caeliclord cool. I just got my cloud action figure like the one you used in this ordered, and I'm planning to create an animated thing like this. and as for getting footage, do you just use a normal snap shot camera and put them together to make a movie?
@GreenQuasar I have a camcorder with a still frame capture feature that saves the images to an sd card. I take the card to my computer and pull the jpeg images over to my illustrator program where I perform the mouth movements and save them as another jpeg. I then use Sony Vegas Movie Maker to put the images together to create the motion elements seen here. I have a series up on my site called Star Cloud that is more advanced than what I do here.
@GreenQuasar An average camera will work but you won't be able to get a focused zoom like the one I get with the camcorder. I'd recommend getting ahold of a Digital SLR camera as it has a lens for focus and can save to an sd card. It doesn't matter the model though the canons and nikons are the highest quality albeit really expensive. Outside of that experimentation is your best friend.
what editing program do you use for the eyes and mouth? these are amazing! :D
