@demiaki I think that what happened was that Kanata fell in love with that girl, but she liked the other guy better because Kanata was still "just a boy" and the other guy was a man already. I'm not sure, but from what I pick up in the video and the translation of the song, that must be it. Poor Kanata..

I think the boy likes the girl but she's older than he is. She's probably his relatives or his brother's friend. It is his birthday, the girl bought him a camera and she, his brother (I guess) and him goes to the sea. His brother kisses her so he feels sad. At the end he just took off and leaving her alone. He took her picture to keep her in his memory.

Somehow I think this is a kind of childhood memory of a man.
