  • why the fuck are u guys saing boy like bboy and why r u talking about this shit who cares

  • B-boyin doe's not come from gymnastics...there's 2 moves that bboys use that gymnasts use...flares and ufo's - they came later in the dance. It started off with steps! The first main influence was james brown. Do some research before u assume. The guy in the vid is doin an air flare - a bboy move! Better than a flare.

  • im so sick of those who think bboys are great compared to gymnastics.bboy dudes out there, please open use ur mother fucking brains and remember well that those what you guys called " AWESOME " breakdancing actually come from gymnastic.if ya guys wanna insult gymnastics, first insult urself bboying

  • Why can't men use music in their floor routines?

  • @harleyd1000 So that they can contientrate more on learning skills and not having to incorperate dance and wasting time figuring out wat music to use and where and when 2 do each skill

  • @AWESOMEGYMNAST23

    or you could do both.

  • I'm a bboy but I wouldn't mind being a gymnast to learn flips and tricks =D Gymnastics is tight.

  • @MunchSteady I KNOW MOST PEOPLE THINK ITS GAY!! POWER 2 BOY GYMNASTICS!!!

  • So so sick of people saying Men's Gymnastics is gay. Seriously, these guys are studs!

  • yo :28 , i thought 3/4 turns where like... not ok anymore?

  • bruce lee can compete here .. as long as he straighten up his toes..haha... this guys is nuts..

  • this is actually paul hamm not morgan

  • @victor57 it's definately Morgan

  • Guys, what came first, the chicken or the egg? Chill out. B-Boying and Gymnastics are similar, but they're also different. Just accept it and move on. Why are you arguing with people who you will almost certainly never know over the internet? They're both hard and both take lot's of persistence. So what?

  • A bboy is a breakdancer its the first hip hop dance ever and uses aerial moves like the airflare

  • what is a bboy and why us everyone talking about them

  • @leeny11 a bboy is a breakdancer... are you a gymnast?? and then you guys invented flares then we breakdancers/bboys used it to in battles ..then we made another kind of flare called airflare... then this guy used it .. and we are so proud..

  • Wow.

  • everybody in gymnastics was going "oh ****!!!!"

    every bboy was going "......and?"

I am not saying this isn't cool, and gymnasts are way better at flipping than bboys, but gymnasts should and could have learned to do this a long time ago.

  • what was his last tumbling pass

  • it looks like roundoff, back hand spring, double layout.

  • Sweet Press Handstand, all the flairing and spindaling must have Zapped his strength. This must have been his clue to hang it up along with the Double layout dismount .....As for you people tyring to prove each others points its called respect and a lot of these new sports originated from gymnastics so feel thankful. They just didnt want to be strict and diciplined and clean and couldnt get up their motivation without endless repetitve beat hiphop. Same with cheerleading shit tumbling it is!

  • im bout take gymnastics for my breaking lol

  • OSH Q TESO

    TESO

  • oh noes! the press up handstand wasnt smooth. but the routine was great otherwise.

  • thats still amazing!!

i wish i could do that..

but i'm not a boy, lol.

  • i wonder what would people do if they see the end from gambler crew...and gymnastics are not bboys..

  • They could make great bboys tho! The End is an amazing powerhead

  • lol... what was with that press handstand?

  • The positioning of his hands made it difficult

  • Yeah but gymnasts of this level don't usually have trouble with japanese handstands... Maybe it was the dlair sequence that tired his shoulders out lol.

  • i am so sorry but i guess you are wrong "syncroneyes". Bboying is not only Akrobatic, bboying is Rhythem, flow, Expression and the chance to bring your one creativity. You need as a Bboy much more as just Gymnastic Skills. And by the way. Gymnast cant dance and rhythem is the mainessence ob Bboying!!!

  • I'm bboy, and i'm excited watching this.

Flares come from Gymnastics to bboying. Now Airflares, a bboy move, has been learnt by gimnasts. Nice treat!

  • right you are my brother!!

  • @noyze91 that move was first done by gymnasts in the 1960 olympics. I think we had it first.

  • @rubinco nope. wrong.

  • His Airflares are really wide and powerful! Why are some bboy's making a fuss, you insecure about something? I'm a b-boy and don't mind at all, actually it will probably mean there will be more advanced methods of teaching this move now.

  • is that a big trampline or mats?

  • it's a big soft carpeted floor, with a spring floor the same size as the blue part underneath for the skills

  • why all the hate? I'm a bboy and I'm thrilled air flares have made their debut in gymnastics! I have much respect for gymnasts and in my experience training with them, they have respect for us as well. Well done to Morgan Hamm on learning air flares, they are a highly respected powermove in bboying and I think giving it to gymnastics is the least bboying can do considering it got flares from gymnastics. Remember imitation is the highest form of flattery in some cases, this is one of them.

  • Powermoves are bboying moves that require circular motion and momentum while on your back, ARMS or arm parts, and head. No duh solar eclipses and corkscrews aren't powermoves because solar eclipses aren't moving in a circle while doing it and corkscrew is a flip.

SHUT UP. He did airflare's and you can't do anything about it.

  • Thanks for explanation!

Why do u keep removing your good clips? :( How are your airflares now?

  • Well, i would say darkhammers, planches, and inverts are also powermoves but they do not require circular motion or momentum.

  • An inverts and planches are both FREEZES/Strength moves.

Those aren't powermoves. Powermoves are for example:Airflares, Babymills, windmills, flares, crickets. And no, Darkhammers don't require momentum I suppose, but most people will use momentum to perform it.

  • put cico in this crowd and he'll amaze everyone

  • sure with his awesome double layouts he would

  • lmao!!!!

mind you morgan's dbl layout didnt amaze much either this time :P

  • God, I'm so sick of bboys commenting on videos about how "awesome" they are compared to gymnasts. Good for you, give yourself a nice big medal, and don't break your arm while patting yourself on the back. But if you don't like gymnastics and don't have anything good to say, then don't watch it.

  • hm.. the airflare was so smooth at first i didnt even notice it haha. But too bad he didnt land the last flip correct.. again!

  • WOOOOW!!! FUKIN SICLE!!!

  • yeahh! breakdance made gymnastic evolve!

  • lmao!! he did an air flare.

  • Stop Comparing gymnastics with Break and stop calling Bboying Breakdance!!!! Don't Compare Gymnastics with bboying, Compare the Bboy with the Gymnast

  • floor exersize is my favoriite !!!!!

ii love iit. hesz reallyyy good : ]

  • visible error

  • I LOVE floor exercise, it takes incredible strength only a break-dancer could attest to, TRUE talent. :)

  • I was watching the olympics. The scoring system for men's and women's was BOGUS!!!!! They admitted that the Chinese girls were underage. AND THEY STILL DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!! PLUS CHINA WON GOLD!!!!! Tell me that this wasn't the most biased olympics EVER!!!!

  • all you breakdance guys act so cocky, and yet you'll never be half the athlete that morgan hamm is, so shush.

  • ok, but the top bboys do airflares with one hand, and do up to 60 airflares. I'd like to see hamm do that.

  • Elite gymnasts have the most insane weight-to-strength ratios, they do stuff like planche push ups and lever pulls for a WARM UP. Look at how easy and smooth hamm's airflares are, it's like he's not even trying man! I have no doubt in my mind that hamm could do 60 or even more airflares. You know why he doesn't though? Because he's not in a breakdance circle, he's on a gym floor, and airflares are just part of the choreography in his routine. It'd be stupid to do anything more than just a few.

  • He still can't do them with one hand. Bboy Pop, planches like crazy even planche airflare planche combo. Do me a favor, just check out "kys the end" look at a couple of his most viewed videos on youtube and then if you still feel the same, Diss bboys all you want. This way you can compare the best to the best.

  • Bboys wouldn't do 60 or more airflares anyway. That would be akin to someone repeatedly doing pirouettes and nothing else for their routine.

In any case, gymnasts (and their fans) rag on bboys because of their superior athletic ability, whereas bboys (and their fans) rag on gymnasts because of their superior aesthetics dance-wise.

They all, of course, miss the point. Gymnasts aren't trying to be dancers, and bboys aren't trying to be athletes. Not much sense in comparing the two.

  • Those wo can do 60 airflares train all day on those moves. They are "specialists". Gymnasts cannot spend all the day on a single move or a group of moves; they cannot specializa on a group of moves and forget about the rest; they have 6 apparatii and hundreds of moves they must to care about every day

  • That's damn right. GIMME SOME SKIN!!!!

  • They're allowed to be cocky about a skill they're better at than the average gymnast. I don't see them being cocky about anything else.

  • lol the crowd goes crazy just for two airflares?

hella clean but do they allow that?*i hope yes*

  • The crowd goes crazy because it's the first time the move is showed on an official competition. You can be sure that Morgan can do more than 50. Airflares were added to the international gymnastics code of points.

  • on the video he made last year his record was 7,, 50 is hard dude believe me

  • Last year. What about nowadays? Anyway, All you bboys must know that those who make 50 airflares train every day on them and few other moves. On the contrary, gymnasts have 6 apparatii and hundreds of moves 2 care about every day. If they put such effort only on airflare and rotation powermoves, gymnasts would beat the shit out from any bboy.

  • yeah right,, airflare, flare, windmil, babymill, babyairflare, 2000, 1990, flips to, one handed airflare, elbowairflare, one handed elbowairflare, the different variations and transiotions between the moves, and alot more that aint a few moves friend powermoves has just as much discipline with there power as gymnast so dont talk shit buddy

  • All the powermoves u list rbased on ROTATIONS and belong 2 the same group of powermoves, so your same comment confirms what I said before. BTW I wasn't talking shit, mine was an objective thought.

"powermoves has just as much discipline with there power as gymnast" well...

1- looks like bboys have some kind of jealousy towards gymnasts and feel like a step beneath them.

2- it's evident you know NOTHING about how much disciplne and power (and efficiency) gymnasts train, believe me dude.

  • tell me a couple of powermoves, that dont include rotations?

  • So you say that all powermoves include rotations.... u keep using arguments that are against you...

Anyway, heres the answer to your question:

    1. solar eclipse

    2. corkscrew

  • cant really say they are powermoves.

solar eclipse are basically like freezes, on your hand

and the corkscrew...is not really a powermove its just an acrobatic flip.

1 Air Flare can get more ooohs and ahhh from the crowd then a corkscrew and solar eclipse put together.

  • "1 Air Flare can get more ooohs and ahhh from the crowd then a corkscrew and solar eclipse put together."

Well, it depends on the crowd's taste.

Anyway, in a gymnastics competition, getting OOOOHS from the crowd is not the performer's goal, but a pleasant side effect.

  • why would a bboy feel beneath a gymnast?

I think bboys train as hard as gymnasts. all those moves that MenJestic listed are fuckin hard to get, it doent matter if they based on rotations. There are more moves apart from power. Bboys dont only train for power, there's freezes toprock and footwork.

  • "why would a bboy feel beneath a gymnast?" I don't know, but from my understanding many bboys seems to feel like that, and have some rivalry against gymnasts :/

I don't know how long elite bboys train, but I know that elite gymnasts train 6-8 hours per day, 6 days a week; though they practise on severeal apparatii, not only floor.

Anyway, the endeavour from gymnasts and the endeavour from bboys are alike I think.

  • Only 6 days? Not everyday? Everytime of the day? I dunno, but I know Bboys that practice wherever they are whenever.

  • um excuse me, there is a major difference between bboys and gymnasts.if a gymnasts trains too much, too hard, too long on a trick/skill they can seriously get injured...just like any other human being...but still gymnasts put in so much dedication and hard work that they use their time wisely and do not strain themselves and injure themselves..they plan out how long they are going to work on a skill:just because he doesn't do it all the time doesn't mean he's any less or being able to preform it

  • bboys do the same too....you just gotta know your limits.thats why wen im practicin my bboy moves and i get weak i take it easy and go sort of on cruise conrtrol..lol b/c you dont wanna screw your self over and get messed up.

  • Actually most elite bboys practice 7 days a week for 5 hours. And on somedays they have competitions and performances aswell as their practice.

  • i'm not saying they don't...i'm saying there's a difference between a bboy's practice and workout and a gymnasts practice and workout...

  • There are tons of texts about elite gymnasts' workout and training methodologies, if you guys want to dig into this subject then check some out.

If you want to become an "elite" bboy/dancer/gymnast/juggler/ANYTHING!, u must train several hours most days of the week. That's a fact. Maybe elite bboys are trained by highly qualified and esperienced graduated coaches as gymnasts are, dunno.

  • Rest is a part of the training process u know...

  • @tenchi532 gymnast train 8 ~ 12 hours a day 6~7 days a week

  • @tenchi532 You have to keep in mind, male gymnasts practice six different events, not just one. There training is very regimented.

  • ALRITE FELLAS... i respect both bbboys and gymnast cuz both need to practice alot, both do crazy beast ass shit ( pwr head bboy more) but no reason to argue cuz gymnastic help build bboying and u see those airflares that he did,im pretty sure bboys made it up. thnx

  • yup yup true dat truedat....i got respect for both too....cuzz bboyin and gymnastics arent as easy as some people think

  • All he needs now is some 90s and elbow flares LOL

  • gymnastic style is gay ass hell, but its dope to see airflares introduced, bout time you fools caught up, need to do flair 90.

  • While you are correct in say Hamm's an athlete as opposed to a dancer, adding in the "punk" doesn't make you look too bright.

  • They're not trying to go for style, they're not dancers. They exhibiting their athletic prowess, nothing more, nothing less.

  • kys would smoke this guy hardcore

  • i was jsut joking btw, this guy is very dope

  • guys check out my ai flare mine are so much beter than his and im 13 years old!

  • GET OVER YOURSELF O_o

  • no serioulsy she is in fairfax

  • did u know that justin spring's mom is my gym teacher

  • lol

  • the airflare it's a move of the bboys, why the speakers say he own move i never see that.... fuck that, i see 10 airflare for both sides in brazil, many years ago, and the bboys are doing AIRFLARE MANY YEARS BEFORE THIS GIMNASTIC, i like see the moves of breakdance in the olimpics. but please the speaker it's very fool, respect for breakdance..

  • The speaker to w/e probably meant he hasn't seen the move in a gymnastics routine.

  • Wow you were there? That's really cool. Toobad about morgan though. :( That looked like it really hurt.

  • it was really cool, i was like jumping up and down in my seat...figuratively speaking...i'm like really depressed now that he's not competing in the olympics nor Paul...

  • airflares are allowed on floors? how about spins and stuff? (1990... elbow spin lol). I bboy but i might do some gymnsatics in college.

  • yeah he must do it a couple of time on a big event and then he can name it and its a standard move, but you cant spin on that floor i gues, you will burn yourself real bad

  • actually you can spin on that floor

  • yeah but not 10 to 20 rounds,

  • If you want to see a real airflare. I like her airflare but better see bboys like: the end, punisher, demon, marcio, cico...

  • "her"

    morgan is a guy haha

  • I love his and Paul's floor routines and I adore the airflare. ^_^

  • ouchh (double layout)
