mini cooper vs. cooper S

To be honest the only reason the normal mini is close to the cooper s is that the front one is basically proving to him that the corners ahead are clear. When the cooper s cuts the corner, the one behind knows that theres nothing coming round the corners so can go into them quicker and take a better line.

@sambora88 its not a "normal" mini. Minis are not all mini coopers by default, a normal mini would be a mini one, different engine, suspension, price, speed, specs etc.

Theres 2 seconds difference 0-60. Its not going to disappear into the distance :) but its 2 seconds faster, which is a lot in car terms...

most of those corners the classic mini wouldnt need to brake,

@kinkycouple91 Your right they wouldn't need to brake. That's because they would be going so slowly. I have a JCW 1967 Copper S and a 2009 BMW Cooper S, The 2009 leaves it for dead in every single situation. They cannot be compared, only the name is the same.

You obviously haven't driven either or you wouldn't have made this stupid and ill considered comment

I dont have to have driven both i have my own and i always leave new mini's at the roundabouts they only leave me afterwards :) pointless wasteing petrol with the 30+bhp that i only have..

I've never driven in a regular cooper, only a cooper s. The S IS faster than the standard, but it's when you hit that sport button that everything changes. The MINI S in sport mode would leave the standard mini in the dust on any road, no matter who's driving the standard.

Cooper S has tons more torque than the Cooper therefore..... Cooper S driver isn't much good.

Looks like a fun road, but the Cooper S was breaking too much in the corners. Trust the Cooper and she'll get you around those corners.
