@busigma, I would have to disagree with you on Engelbert's lack of vocal range . The man can make his voice soar with power and clarity. Listen to his version of Spanish eyes, his voice soars incredibly- my point is that if you lack range there is no way you can go that high as masterfully as he does. Matter of fact ,his versions of songs like Spanish eyes and You'll never walk alone display his range and mastery of thereof. He's always smooth even when cruising in the high registers.

@mikorara , My comment was based purely from a technical standpoint. There are many commerical singers whose vocal range is limited, but they still sound pleasing. Listen to his normal pitch level and pay careful attention to how elevated it becomes over the course of a song. You will notice that the range does not variate very much. All of his songs are presented in a very similar if not the same vocal range. He has mastered his vocal range which is vitally important for success in music.
