Actually, I was disappointed with this movie. After seeing the first two movies, I was satisfied, and I don't think there should have been two more movies. Jim Cameron himself said that Terminator was meant to end with Judgement Day. I do have to admit i like the homages to the first two movies, and that Salvation was much better than Rise of the Machines, and Connor was no longer a pussy ass in Salvation. i'm still not too satisfied with it though.

My personal point of view of this movie, ...I expected a better actor played John connor, I don´t care If you F-me but every time I watch this movie I want to punch in the face to the guy or girl in charge of casting... Bale is good for batman. dark knight american psycho or what ever but Terminator C-mon...

This movie is really good and entertaining. However I think it shouldn't be compared with previous 3 movies - maybe just with future war scenes of T1, T2, T3. I just hope that in other two movies there will be more dark future war scenes and good not banal endings. Because this one had so good happy end that I wanted to turn of my computer.

Salvation is good entertaining movie, but it is not a very good Terminator. Bale and Worthington are ok, they do their part. Bale in John Connor was a great idea but the dialogues are horrible, he only talks to radio and it is even not interesting what he says. In fact I feel the movie is too short, it is a shame because the action is mind blowing, but no time left for the story. Something disturbing : it is the 2nd time someone steals the show with Bale as main character (remember Batman TDK).

I love T1 and T2, I praise the lord every day to have given the opportunity to watch that movies. However, Salvation is typically the kind of movie too short with too much action. McG, as well as many others directors, thinks that people wants too see action and CGI and we care less about the story, but wake up!!! Terminator is about the story and not about the action!! The action in T2 is entertaining but the movie lasts long enough to give us the time to love the characters.

despite the bad thoughts on the film, it still interests me a bit

the first 3 films tied up the past time travelling bit. all resulting in nothing changing and time putting itself back to its original state (hence why the war still happened, and why they time travelled, and repeat for those 3 films)

i was always wondering how exactly the humans did win the war in the end and save themselves. and defeated the machines humans = win. nice

and for that reason, ill see it someday. out of interest

i didnt like this film. i agree that its wayyy better the t3 but thats not hard. i think t3 done so much damage to the series that its hard to enjoy anything new from it anymore. so i think that as much as this film didnt hurt the series like t3 did, it didnt help it either. its kind of a nothing movie, if that makes any senes.

The story isn't in depth, it's just barely scratching the surface, the feeling is not the same as any other terminator movie, there are too many pointless special effects.

The most common mistakes that remakes or sequel from a classic is too many references from the original. Hence, the movie lost its focus and it doesn't do anything good to the story. Plus, the story and the characters aren't that strong, so for a Terminator fan like me, I was paying more intention to the homage than the story. To me paying homage to the original isn't about putting some uninteresting trivia, but putting a good film that, if not surpass the original, as good as the original.

russians have subs sitting under the ice in the arctic for like 3 to 4 years and change crews at the end of that period they sit there for if russia gets nuked theyll break through the ice and nuke the enemys aswell to give their ppl a chance and time so the enemy dont just come in and sweep em clean. saw this in a documentary. i doubt that the other major countries dont use the same tactic

Good idea, but I'd throw in more about the end of Skynet. One thing I"d like to see, is what happened after Reese and the 3 Terminators were sent through time. Like start the movie in 2045 or some point after wards.

It would also be nice to see what happened after T3, how John and Katherine met up with the resistance. They wouldn't need to do a full movie, just flashbacks with do.

Salvation was a surprisingly good movie. This movie proves that even with a PG-13 rating, they can still nail it. And oh yeah, the special effects were amazing.
