@miscuser69 Loosing weight is not an option. I have a 4% body fat anyway and for the last few years no one has beaten me, on any course, regardless how much they look like a monster.
@Jsforbes1 Is you wife happy? Because if I was her an I was married to such a twat, I wouldn't be so sure... As for dropping me like a Ginger on Prom night...The only thing you'll be dropping, is your pants for when you get spanked!! Also...I justed looked for a 'Forbes' in the UK Masters for the last two years...I didn't see you listed tho.... Lying much? I rest my case....cunt
@GarethKeenan101 well it seemed to work well enough for me. I won the UK Masters cross country title on it for a second time so all the weight wasn't for nothing. I'll take you out for a ride and for the first minute you can admire the bike but after that i'll drop you like a ginger kid on prom night.
I'm considering either the Anthem X1 or 2 or the Trance X2. Some decent trails here in Korea, nothing to rave about if you're from Colorado (for example), but good enough. I do about 50/50 paved roads on paths and hills/single track; mountain....just wondering which one you thought would be ideal. 182 cm, 98 kg, 50 yrs old.
Hi, Great video, bike looks great. I've got an anthem x1 on order and just waiting for it to arrive. I notice that you are running a straight bar on yours, how do you find it handles down hill compared to the riser that they come with. I've always been a fan of barends and fancy sticking a set on it when I get it......but obviously I can't stick them on a riser as I'll get the piss ripped out of me! Any comments on the straight bar???
@Jsforbes1 hey got a question about running the racing ralphs tubeless with out have the the tubeless version. Have u had good luck with yours in rocks and thorns with that set up? im thinking about doing that same deal but im a little scared. lol

@Jsforbes1 Too much money and too much time on your hands... The obsessive changes you've made on this bike to ''save weight'' is nothing more then brainless.... The original Giant Anthem X with the 6000 Aluxx frame weights a maximum of one pound more then this... An that kind of weight really makes fuck all difference!! The bike looks stunning... but you're a fuckin knob head!!
Looks really nice im happy with mine thinking of upgrading the float r to a rp23 but need to save wana get rid of the michlins tho there garbage in the wet
@customtuned It is the standard Aluminium Anthem X frame but it weighs only 200g more than the carbon one but is a lot more crash proof and easier to replace. All the aluminium Giant frames are hydro formed and every tube is unique. The welding areas where they meet are adjusted in the hydro forming stage to enable the most efficient wield area and strength. It is a very fast and rapid ride and handles very well. I love it.
@jamesdamonkeywrench Yes this bike is totally custom from the frame up. The Alu frame comes in about 200g heavier than the carbon one so not much difference and rides just as stiff. perfect race bike.
@guitarsbikesandpie 3 or 4 lbs heavier...If you believe that, then hey..I'm Elvis...its 150-200g heavier than the carbon (4.68lb claimed) for the carbon..my '09 X frame came in at 4.84lb w/shock and 5.1 w/shock, seat clamp and headset.
@stu8975 well, obvoiusly i was over exagerating...and also i'm sorry if i was off a little bit...i was just saying that because my friends Anthem X advanced SL0 is 20 pounds and my X2 is 25... i realise that alot of that weight loss is from the coponents, like sram XX and the SLR wheel set...so if it makes you feel any better, i'm sorry but everyone makes mistakes
@miscuser69 This comment made me laugh so hard. Fat guy with a shitty bike thinks he can beat an XC racer? HA!

Nice bike, mate. Giant sold every one of these 2010 bikes. I'm also looking at sub 23-pound build with Mavic SLR and SRAM X0 in small.
