Shishkin and Van Gogh are my favorite artists ever! I stood for 10 minutes in front of "Polden okresnosti Moskvy" in Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, feeding my soul with it. Greetings from Montenegro! <3 Russia!

@teod1112 Well, Tretyakov gallery is huge, and it takes a lot of time to see all the works of art. So that's all I could afford to spend on it, because who knows when I'll go to Moscow again.

I love Shishkin and have oil reproductions of two of them, from 1917, by nostalgic Russian relative, fleeing from soviet revolution. They have fascinating history!

well i must admit when i read your notes about greatest ever.....i thought hhhmmmm, that is a bold statement.....but damn if you might not be right......i mean bierstadt and whittredge were no graffiti artists, but this guys realism is absolutely astounding.......well thank you for posting the video, i have never heard of this artist until now......and i must say that i am now the better for it....very inspirational........my painting should naturally become richer....thanks again
