One thing i felt wasnt emphasised at all in any of your videos and that is hydration. not saying u didnt mention just saying I personally didnt notice much focus on hydration so i apologise if u did. but wanted to say u need to drink a good 3-4 litres of water a day to keep joints working good and to help muscles develope. Also wen dehydrated u burn only about 96% of the calories so its crucial for matabolism also. great videos though good job and hope u get to where u want to build wise.
hey, um i was just wondering. what should i eat before a workout and after a workout. like when should i drink a protein shake and when i should eat a power bar or something like that. maybe other types of foods too.
Great! thanks man! I just started this thing eating every 2 to 3 hours thing and I used to be very skinny and in 2 months or so by eating 6/5 meals a day with working out I gained weight and muscles! True Story. Thanks for explaining it thou! 5/5.
3 big meals a day doesn't work for me... my metabolism gets all messed up and I find myself pushing limits on what I'm eating whereas if you eat little and often you'll have more of a steady metabolism because of how you're using your energy and vice versa.
@Vojskovoda Very true. Eat often and don't eat too much for each meal. Like Tim said 5-7 meals/day.
You should never be hungry and you should never be full. Always stop eating before you get "full." Likewise, try to eat a meal before you get too hungry. Being too hungry may cause you to overeat. If you're too hungry, your body is telling you that it really needs fuel. You should be feeding it before that ever happens.
Like Tim said, eating every 2-3 hours is a good rule of thumb.
hey tim, can you do a video on the "big 3" "squats" bench press" and "deadlifts", as popular as these exercises are, i most often see them being done incorrectly.
dude thanks so much for these videos and showing me what i need to do to exercise. so in the next videos will you show us how to work our abs and what to eat?
Tim, I'm looking forward to the healthy food choices follow-up video. People have to understand that if they are eating garbage, their body will respond with garbage results, even if they are eating smaller meals more often.
also it's pretty hard for me to eat 5-6 times a day considering i have school without lunch. so i usually only eat when i get home from school and later on that night.
@hioxd You dont have to eat 5-6 times a day, just dont skip meals or overeat.
calories in = calories out.
Gary Schwartz, a researcher with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, "There's no strong data supporting either [three meals a day or six meals a day] as being more effective" for losing weight or maintaining lost weight.
@hioxd Lift heavy, eat heavy. You can't gain muscle without gaining strength. You can't gain muscle without eating above your maintenance level of calories. Are you logging your daily food intake (amount of calories)? Do you know what your metabolism is? Try eating 4000-5000 calories of GOOD food. Drink a gallon of milk every day if you have to. If you have a small frame, it would probably be impossible for you to get fat. Most of it would probably go to muscle.
I second this - although I would go for a more realistic goal of sticking to about 3200-3500 calories consistently. i BET you would see gains after at least 2 weeks. once more - lift heavy, eat heavy!

Like Tim said, eating less but often is the key.
3 big meals a day doesn't work for me... my metabolism gets all messed up and I find myself pushing limits on what I'm eating whereas if you eat little and often you'll have more of a steady metabolism because of how you're using your energy and vice versa.
