Are you saying I don't know what a clause is? It's something that limits activity in gameplay to make it more fair. Not to mention, sleep clause is where you can only put one of your opponents pokemon asleep at a time unless they self-inflict the sleep (rest). You can put nother one to sleep when the sleeping poke wakes up/faints.
