  • I just bought one of these motors for a CNW Semaphore and soon will be aquireing the CNW blade for it I also just bought a ACL train order blade set and a New Haven Short blade signal just the head not the whole signal yet and a Southern Upper quadrent semaphore next will be a Frisco Upper Quadrent semaphore I also own a SP style B lower quadrent

  • very nice I still have yet to aquire one of these CNW Semaphores I own an SP one and a KCS Upper Quadrent train Order set and am about to aquire a Frisco one and two more SP ones I still am working on a ATSF one and hopefully one of these

  • Brunel designed the first semaphore signalling system. The signals consisted of a swivelling pole with a disc and crossbar at right-angles to each other at the top - if the disc was face-on to the train that meant clear and if the crossbar was face-on that meant stop. I think it's still possible to see them at Didcot Railway Museum.

  • Cool! semaphores look so neat when they move, especially those easel types
