  • Is anyone else distracted by the motions Bush is making over Reagan's right shoulder?

  • dear obama, watch this video and see what real leadership is about.

  • Where's the subtitles for the Deaf? I am Deaf and cannot watch this video when there are subtitles/closed captions missing.

  • The most overrated President in the history of this Nation!!!

  • What a great man. I have chosen to listen to all President Reagans speeches, at least one each day and hope that I will not have to run out of speeches to listen to in this life time. To the spirit of Reagan God Bless you

  • i could care less about teleprompters, but what are those those @ 4:03

  • hahaha joe biden was in the audience. and feinstein. and lets no forget bout barney frank. along with the rest of the left wing wackos

  • Tip O'Neill wrote in his biography , that during this speech he was whispering to George Bush Senior "C'mon George , you don't believe this , Do you?" Bush replied "Shhh Be quiet !"

  • Gotta love the Gipper!

  • we have 45 million Americans out of work now, and the evil rich demand even more illegal slave labor to cheat them and cheat paying taxes so they can max out their profits even more. Supporting illegals is just supporting the rich so they can cheat the system and max out profits at your expense.

  • @Yellowyog uhh what is assassint.? and you know becouse is act. spelled "because" right? and i think you should take your leftist views out of this site, please let us enjoy the gipper without your stupid, misled views. thank you, and leave the site if you will.

  • the most charismatic president of the U.S of A

  • Wait a minute...did he say "mr speaker mr president"?? 0:50 Ronny YOU are the president!!!!! Jajaja

  • @tepeke88 President Reagan is addressing The Speaker of the House (Mr. Speaker) and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate (Mr. President).

  • @tepeke88 Mr. President refers to the President of the Senate (the Vice President). It is not a mistake.

  • @tepeke88 President of the Senate, the Vice President of the United States.

  • you notice we face the same exact problem today pretty ironic.

  • @ 14:00..."I will not ask you to try to balance the budget on the backs of the American taxpayers." You are still "The Man" Ron!

  • Sure do miss his style. a REAL man.

  • this speech could be given today and still be totally applicable (the domestic economy part)

  • 10 dislikes, you must be from the soviet union

  • Not only a smart and amazing President, but he's also funny lol

  • I wish Reagan was president now :-(...

  • Reagan was the last time America had a real President!

  • he's one of the reasons i wish i could have grown up in the 80's.

  • @colbygarrrett It wasn't the land of Oz.

Times were not exactly idyllic back then.

  • @tatlas The world may have had the constant threat of nuclear war, but at least the U.S. had great leadership back then!

  • He was a Dear Grandfather to America. :')

  • I love it in Back to the Future when Doc asks Marty who the president is in 1985 and Marty says Ronald Reagan, Doc, agahst 'Ronald Reagen the actor'.

  • Pure class! Presdient Reagan, Dr. Condoleeza Rice, and Sec. Colin Powell all demonstrate that class and good manner are important and make you standout from the uncivilized! God bless them all! :-)

  • not to be a spoiler of cheese or anything, but at 00:47 aren't those two things teleprompters are?

  • You have to be left thinking: How could one man be so great, so humble, so patriotic, so helpful, and such a great leader. God bless you President Reagan, class act all the way ! I was lucky enough to go to the Reagan Library in March and I cant wait until I can take my children there when they are older... Because I can say to them `I can show you what greatness is today`.

  • @allbaugh04 The teleprompter is also there to the President's right.

  • @DPEGSB Where ? Can you say the minute and second ?

  • A REAL PRESIDENT!

  • "...America's greatest president... ... Abraham Lincoln....."

  • @Ebdim9th I agree, but I'm 47 years old and can tell you of all the Presidents in my lifetime, RONNIE was the best!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • Ronald Reagan was a GREAT president !!!!!!!!!!

  • Obama should listen to this.He can learn form this

  • We need a man like Ronald Reagan, again!

  • Cut spending, Cut taxes, Stop printing worthless money causing "stagflation"

    Sounds good Mr. President

  • @MrBullfrog9876

Bush gave two tax cut,how many do you want?Do you want to pay no taxes?

  • this is exactly what we need to do now, it worked then, and it can work now. the problems then are the problem we have now and the solution is still the same

  • @OJBuyer I couldn't agree more. I blame part of this on the Internet ironically. Too many voters voted for NOBAMA who were not around when Jimmy "I NEVER MET A DICTATOR I DIDN'T LIKE" Carter ruined us. Now, thanks to the Internet, we can constatntly remind people what NOBAMA is doing! In the meantim, NOBAMA has 946 DAYS TO GO!

  • what a great American

  • This state of the union address should be read verbatim by the new President after Obama's single term.

  • He speaks straight from the heart and soul

  • Too unoften do politicians step back and ask themselves: "What would Reagan do?"

  • We need Reagan back in the White House even if he's a ghost! Hopefully the next prez will be just as conservative as Reagan was. Go Gipper!

  • This President is a true Statesman... he does not put the country or the people down. He inspires. He does not apologize for what America is.

  • I suggest you watch this Obama...look, he didn't even need a teleprompter.

I didn't know that was possible!

  • @allbaugh04 First of all, this was surely a great speech, with many lessons applicable to our current times. But, to say that he was not using some sort of teleprompter would be inaccurate. If you notice, President Reagan glances from the left to the right, almost exactly to the same place, throughout the speech. He also does not regularly glance down at his notes. Nevertheless, a great man, and a great speech.

  • @allbaugh04 He's obviously using one. Granted, more smoothly than the current president. It was part of his profession, after all.

  • @allbaugh04 The teleprompter is there to the President's left.

  • @allbaugh04 :) I watched this at 12 years old. I knew it was possible!...well maybe not today, but back then!!! ;)

  • @allbaugh04 Not trying to burst your bubble, but the teleprompters are on either side of him; and when he turns his head from side to side, that tells you he is reading off of them.

  • @allbaugh04 Actually, you can see the teleprompter at 42:45 but still a great speech.

  • @allbaugh04 You are a fool, he is reading from a teleprompter.

  • @allbaugh04 Actually, he DID use teleprompters regularly, as he did here. You can see him looking at them clearly to his left and right...Presidents have been using them for decades. Johnson, Nixon, Carter all used them before Reagan.

  • @sexboyyy Actually he was veru near sighted so they would have needed to be seriously close to him

  • @allbaugh04 moron. there are no telepromters in the United States Congress

  • @allbaugh04 PRESIDENT Obama to you..Thanks

  • "I did not actually HEAR George Washington say that!" ROFL! God bless RONNIE! A GREAT MAN! A GREAT PRESIDENT!

  • I love how Tip O'Neil seems to see the joke comin'!

    KUDOS TO THE GIPPER!

  • God Bless RONNIE, A GREAT MAN, A GREAT PRESIDENT!

  • Look how young George HW Bush was!

  • thanks for the video. it will really help me with my history paper i am writing!
