I was reading through the comments and seriously. So basically: "men + emotions about other men = gay" seems to be what some people are thinking.What is wrong with you? So, men can't have male friends? And when their friends die they have to say "meh." and move on? Personally I would have preferred even more emotion, but they kept it to a minimum. I mean, Oh no! He placed his head on his chest oh that's so gay, aah! ...That's just sad.
@rikuown In Dead Space 2 they show you how realistic of a game it is. Look at the top comments. Where is a phoenix down when you need one! Zack could technically use a phoenix down and be fine when in Dead Space 2 you get ripped to shreds so tell me how is Dead Space a shit game? Cause there is no emo guys talking about the good fight and living on? Cause there is no way to live when your character dies without cheats? No Dead Space is a great game. At least they haven't run out of ideas.

I understand that JENOVA Cells have something to do with it, something along the lines of, suppressing the shock/terror of Zack's death. However, it seems, in this scene at least, he's accepting of it and rather embraces it as his purpose.
I have to say, that FFVII did a better job explaining it. He witnesses Zack's death, and without a word, grabs the sword and leaves.
They had to kill off Zack. Is Zack would have survived, Cloud and Zack would have fought over Aeris/Aerith and Meteor would have struck the earth killing everyone!

i have actually NEVER played any final fantasy 7 games... but when i started watching the videos on youtube slowly zack became my favorite and i cried when i saw a video of him dieing... normally, if i dont play the game, i dont ever end up caring about the characters, but this game is different.. to bad i cant ever get any final fantasy 7 games ;o at least zack got what he wanted, to be a hero. final fantasy 7 is such an epic game.. i have watched final fantasy 7 advent children complete.. :P

I'm probably gonna get voted down for this, but... I actually like the original scene from the original game better. It's soundless apart from the rain, the gunshots, and the scream, it has no cheesy pop song and montage, and it doesn't have the whole "Zack goes to heaven with Angeal" and "I will live for you" things. It's simpler and quieter, and in my opinion, that makes it that much sadder and more powerful.
Now if only we could get it in HD with the remake that will never happen....
It's sadder when you realise that by the time FF7 starts he has all but forgotten and believes that he was Zack in the scenario thanks to the Mako poisoning etc.

@DarkTrainerzx He had an assault rifle and a baton because it shows him using his gun a couple of times in the game and he was a Shin-Ra infantryman. Hope this helps. And yeah, I agree with you all, I cry almost every time I see the ending of this game because it's really sad.
The thing that makes Crisis Core's ending so effective isn't just the death of a likeable character, it's the flashbacks Cloud has as he begins to absorb his memories, the look on his face as he realizes Zack has died, Zack's monologue, the foreshadowing on Cloud's part as he parrots Zack's words.
Nice game, great ending. Not going to say the greatest of all time, not even close. But it's fitting, and that's what matters.
You can only be a Hero if you're alive , and you can only get a Legend , if you die. For me Zack Fair was a legendary hero. Best FF VII Character ever , thumbs up if you agree !

i have actually NEVER played any final fantasy 7 games... but when i started watching the videos on youtube slowly zack became my favorite and i cried when i saw a video of him dieing... normally, if i dont play the game, i dont ever end up caring about the characters, but this game is different.. to bad i cant ever get any final fantasy 7 games ;o at least zack got what he wanted, to be a hero. final fantasy 7 is such an epic game.. i have watched final fantasy 7 advent children complete.. :P

I'm probably gonna get voted down for this, but... I actually like the original scene from the original game better. It's soundless apart from the rain, the gunshots, and the scream, it has no cheesy pop song and montage, and it doesn't have the whole "Zack goes to heaven with Angeal" and "I will live for you" things. It's simpler and quieter, and in my opinion, that makes it that much sadder and more powerful.
Now if only we could get it in HD with the remake that will never happen....

i just ended that game as well i couldnt sleep last nightthe story is too good zack death is really hard to accept . Been playing ff7 when he came out ten years ago zack was such a mysthic character but i never exptec the sequel story would be rather good than expcectation.

@DarkTrainerzx He had an assault rifle and a baton because it shows him using his gun a couple of times in the game and he was a Shin-Ra infantryman. Hope this helps. And yeah, I agree with you all, I cry almost every time I see the ending of this game because it's really sad.

The thing that makes Crisis Core's ending so effective isn't just the death of a likeable character, it's the flashbacks Cloud has as he begins to absorb his memories, the look on his face as he realizes Zack has died, Zack's monologue, the foreshadowing on Cloud's part as he parrots Zack's words.
Nice game, great ending. Not going to say the greatest of all time, not even close. But it's fitting, and that's what matters.

Where is Zack in the minute 3:44? In the 3:41 is in Modeoheim when he said "me? Gongaga",but what is the background is seen in the min 3:44? also he has the old style of hair that he had in the start of the game... so that mean that is before Angeal´s death
