  • That Touch of Butter commercial only served to remind me of how much I hate margarine. Real butter all the way!

  • "Is the economy recovering? Some indications tonight"

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

  • @Scoth3 Compared to the current economic crisis the early 90's recession was a blip on the radar.

  • Man, I still get chills when that guy goes "Rated R" it really did sound like it was something forbidden with the way he said it.

  • I wonder who the voice over announcer for that Ford Truck commercial is. He also did Wendy's commercials

  • i dont get it, did they videotape john goodman showering, WHY?!?!?!?!??!

  • I sincerely hope Touch of Butter has been discontinued and its creators and proponents jailed. If you've decided butter is unhealthily unmarketable and gone the margarine route, you can't come crawling back when you find congealed salty oil doesn't exactly sell itself. Real butter is, was, and always will be well worth the risks!

  • I still eat kids' cereal.

  • Ugh, wallpaper. Can you even buy that crap anymore?

  • I wonder if I could still get that wallpaper with that 10% off at Sears. It would be funny to go into a Sears and tell them , "well I just saw the add on television, on March 27, 1992."

  • Human-robot sexual tension! I can't believe the show flopped! I guess I should mention this was created by Dick Wolf of Law & Order fame. It's easy to see why he left the personal lives of the main characters out of that show.

It seems odd that they were using a clip from "King Ralph" to promote John Goodman's interview, instead of his then-current release, "The Babe". Of course, both movies were awful...

...though better than "The Lawnmower Man". T2's graphics were far better.

  • what was the deal with butter through out the 90's?

  • i want to see nightmare cafe so fucking bad. little martian midgets and cheesy 90's effects = heaven

  • Ah! The Dr. Pepper commercial! I love it! :D

  • I'll bet there's a house somewhere that still has that shoe wallpaper from 2:33

  • @33skoalbandit i hope not! that wallpaper is just HEINOUS and BIZARRE!

  • Totally remember the Frosted Flakes one.

And the Dr. Pepper ad rules :D haha

  • Maria was pregnant in 1992.

  • I miss the 90's.

  • 1992: best year ever?

  • Hell No!

  • how is blockbuster still open?

last time i rented a movie it was in

    the 90's.

what!!! the economy was bad back then 2?i don't remember that.

  • ahahah now those minivans are the official crackhead car

  • lol word

  • Wow is that the same Frosted Flakes box that they use now?

  • I would love to give that Dr. Pepper guy a nice forearm shiver to the cheek.

  • haha "ECLIPES" @3:52

  • I had forgotten all about those Frosted Flakes commercials. Great stuff.

I slashed my wrists near the end of that "Mann & Machine" promo. If you could call the paramedics for me I'd greatly appreciate it

  • I use to LOVE the Frosted Flakes commercials when I was a kid!! Stupid adults.....

  • nightmare cafe looks like a twin peaks rip off

  • was that robert england (freddy kruger) on that nightmare cafe? Looks like him...& it also looks like the makers of that show took LSD at some point in their life.

  • Yeah, it was co-created by Wes Craven and had Englund on the show (But not as Krueger).

  • LOL on the John Goodman description!

  • That man in the ford trucks commercial. I think I saw him in another commercial somewhere, but what?

  • Wow.. Mann & Machine is shot in such a weird way. I don't know how to describe it. It feels so 90ish. The color is so washed out and everything has a slight blue glow to it.

  • It's definitely a frame rate and cinematography thing. A lot of mid to late 80s shows and early 90s shows looked that way. I also have forgotten how much we used the flattening iron and mousse during the 90s. It was the 80s hangover.

  • If I remember, I think this is the first show on TV that used the Hummer. Way before it was dubbed the H1.

  • Nightmare Cafe sounds so stupid lol nice vid
