I touch the thing and the keyboard doesnt pop up or anything and i tried in the settings part dor the setup wizard and its supposed to help but its doesnt work there either

I've noticed that when you check the autorotate in the settings, it does it for apps and things like the settings, but it doesn't seem to do it for the home screen, at least not for me. Am I doing something wrong?

No, you aren't doing anything wrong.

That's just how it is made, you can't rotate the sceen unless you open the keyboard.

But if you really want your phone to do that, you will have to install a different home screen system called ahome or openhome.

They have the lite versions for free ;)

i love the update! i manually installed it and it works PERFECTLY. the only thing is the operating system just needs to be a little bit smoother with transitions and orientation. but overall. AMAZING

The on board key board has been on the G1 via the Chomp SMS app for those that didnt know. But its nice that it works with everything now. Should have come with the phone negative teh update if you ask me which I still havnt recieved. : o (
