@AEROpurple Their hair naturally grows on its own. I've had 2 long haired hamsters that lived long enough for their hair to grow that long. So, it's just a matter of waiting for the hamsters to grow older :3
@TeamEdward273 As a matter of fact - yes. It just keeps growing and sometimes it will get matted/. Have to keep it brushed and it wasn't a problem trimming their hair.

Hi, I have a Syrian Hamster named ted, he's long furred, but he's only got massive bits of fluff coming from his bum:S,+he's got two pointy sides which stick out, is he normal? Is it because he's young he's still growing his coat? How long does it take?

Besides it's the greatest when the grand kids come and I can teach them what I know about all the critters and they have a blast learning different things about them. @PedroyItatiFan wow, this vid was posted about 2 years ago. SandyMan actually outlasted all my hammies. His eye had it's ups and down's - never did find out what it was. Sadly he died - I have a video posted on my channel - careful - it tends to make people cry. It was all about his life - it's called: My Beloved Teddy Bear Hamster. Check it out if you can.
@mmorpgFANatic90 I now have my third hamster, first i had a boy, then a girl, and now a boy. Both me and my mom agreed on that the males are much nicer.. i think it has something to do with the fact that females will/ are meant to have babies, and they are very protective and a bit more agressive.
What happened to SandyMan's eyes? For telling you, my hamster Brown who's long haired, died when he had a short fur, shorter fur than yours, lucky! And the puppy and the rabbit and the hamsters are so wonderful!?

Hi, I personally like the long haired teddy bear hamsters. I found that the males, for some reason, are sweeter. I got them from breeders and Petco. You have to take it slow with them-let them get used to your scent and all that. Take care

cool, I used to have a saltwater puffer fish also--years ago. He got way too big and I had to let him free in the ocean. I thought he'd swim around me a little bit to say goodbye - but NOOOOO. Away he swam - didn't even look back. Oh well - he was adorable.

@charleylove10 Hi, I got my hamsters from different places. One was from a breeder, some were from small pet stores that took in hamsters that were no longer wanted, and I got Toby from PetCo.
I'd be so nervous letting my hammy out like that with a dog, you're lucky they play so nicely together :D My hammy smells dog and he hides! But he's a sweetie ^_^
I've only ever seen them in PetCo. Also look on the internet in your area for people who want to find a good home for their teddy bear hamster (maybe cause their child got tired of it or something)

@creviseboy You should take him to a vet. If you can't then get sterilized water and put a few drops in his eye a few times a day. Hope that helps

Hi, I personally like the long haired teddy bear hamsters. I found that the males, for some reason, are sweeter. I got them from breeders and Petco. You have to take it slow with them-let them get used to your scent and all that. Take care

lol. ^.^ Fantastic, you have the cutest little critters. I've got a long list of critters myself. 5 cats, 2 dogs, 4 guinea pigs, a snake and a turtle. I'll soon be getting a baby saltwater puffer fish. Let me know if you want any specifics on my critters. ^.^

cool, I used to have a saltwater puffer fish also--years ago. He got way too big and I had to let him free in the ocean. I thought he'd swim around me a little bit to say goodbye - but NOOOOO. Away he swam - didn't even look back. Oh well - he was adorable.

@dalsch hey nice hamsters, i was wondering how old teddy bear hamsters live up to? Mine just passed away this morning and i am deeply sad about it :( almost two years... as well the fur on my hamster didint grow that much, is that normal?

@charleylove10 Hi, I got my hamsters from different places. One was from a breeder, some were from small pet stores that took in hamsters that were no longer wanted, and I got Toby from PetCo.

I'd be so nervous letting my hammy out like that with a dog, you're lucky they play so nicely together :D My hammy smells dog and he hides! But he's a sweetie ^_^

I've only ever seen them in PetCo. Also look on the internet in your area for people who want to find a good home for their teddy bear hamster (maybe cause their child got tired of it or something)
