People don't know good tv this show was great.It had good writing and a great plot.Some people rather watch bs reality tv trash that dumbs down America shows that don't make you think.The big wigs love it because they don't have to spend a lot of money to entertain the masses just give them and lot of noise and fightingto keep them happy. everybody thinks that show was about sex. Who the hell did ever think that Grey's Anatomy in space would be a good promotion for a show? It was not about sex, it had a definitely great plot, and from episode 8 or 9 this show rocked very hard. I feel sorry for it, and other good shows, but NCIS, CSI, and the other type shows are more POPULAR because only stupid people watch television.

The season finale was excellent.
Sci-Fi shows always get harsh critcism and then later surface slightly more revered.
For a contemporary prime time style series this show was excellent. It covered very real issues as well as imaginative concepts such as trans-humanism.
My only critique is soundtrack and introspective monologues could be toned down.. For a 1st season the acting was very palpable.
I *love* introspective monologues. If well-placed. Like for example when someone would go in open space without a suit, it could explain why he can survive for 30 seconds. (Which, weird as it seems, is actually true in reality, as long as you open your mouth and keep your bodys outside dry. Then you will die from radiation and suffocation. No big ripping apart or freezing. NASA has a FAQ section on it, as it already happened.)

haha your kidding right? Ron Moore is did an amazing job with Virtuality and has background in amazing Sci Fi shows under his belt. Virtuality wasn't only about being realistic, but true science fictions try to convey the problems of the concepts they are trying materialize. But on the realistic note, In virtuality they modelled their ship on the workings of Project Orion, which in theory would of worked.
I really think that Virtuality was not as good as Defying Gravity in storyline, jah I agree that it was realistic, but the storyline was boring. That's my opinion.

Also, there is a secret mission too.
Chances are, things arent going to look so different in 50 years. Take a look on some old movies, and you will find that some of them are set in 2009 and such and they look far more advanced in technology than we really are today.

Well for one do not know where you getting the dumb down bit from, I mean Virtuality seem dumb to me, software engineer who cannot actually fix software, the drive use a entire new concept in physics, which then turn out actually they using an idea thought up and developed in the 60s. The all reality tv show actually raising enough money for such a mission, that a dumb idea in itself.

Well...i`m my opinion everything has been well thought...the chaos in the show is intended though some mistakes could have been overlooked.
Up until now i`m addicted , i`m willing to do almost anything to see more :D

The new V series is a disgrace, and SGU is so unimaginative it hurts to watch each following episode.

Virtuality, to me, had some real potential. I could see it as a short run, but it deserved more than just a pilot movie.
1. It aired on a friday with no advertizing for it
2. Michael Jackson died.
These networks set their stuff to fail. Well, at least FOX does. Maybe might give this show a chance, but it doesn't strike me as a good show
