  • it could be a lot of stuff man, i would just start with throttle body or intake, cuz its sounding like it wants to fire

  • sounds like ur engine is fried

  • my 94 si swap b18b second gen did the same thing, change your MAP sensor !

  • This sounds like a killed engine, dude. Too much grinding noises from under the bonnet.

  • From my hearing it might be your motor threw a rod because of the knocking good luck man!!

  • I got the perfect idea ... Sale it or donate it to the junk yard lol jk NO ITS NOT THE TPS RETARDS EMAIL ME ILL WALK YOU THREW IT

  • my da did the same thing i had to replace the injectors and the dizzy

  • Sounds like your misfiring, but could also be the tps. I had the same problem too with my tps. Yea make sure you have right plug wire from the distributor to the spark plug. It sounds like a misfire.

  • change the order of the spark plugs

  • Dude i have the same problem with my b16 but mine stays on after like the 3rd time trying once its warmed up it works fine. I would really like to know what the problem is so i can fix it.

  • its the timing belt its out of time i had the same problem i had to buy the new belt.

  • you first problem it a DA but its you tps sensor for sure an check the timming

  • no u dont have to change the whole throttle body to change the TPS they dont look like screws but they are u have to take a chisel or something to put a line for a flat head screw driver they are screws not rivets

  • ur timing is off bro...

and ur dizzy aint sparkin for shit...

check for spark on the dizzy...

or also ur computer is straight shot...

  • dude u have a spun bearing change ur block is not worth it

  • timing is off or u pluged your wire wrong on the distributor

  • check the ignition coil in your distributor

  • Comment removed

  • WHOAAA! that sound horrible! hope you get it fixed!

  • , my bet is that you need new ignition leads and maybe distributor, some spark plugs may be failed as well

  • @MrZreba or maybe if you changed them recently, they're fit in an incorrect order

  • Compression check.

  • the integra i just bought sounded the same way when it was missing on pistons 2,3,and4 it turned out the guy who owned it before me just pluged the spark plug wires into the wrong spots on the distributer i would say look up the way they should be wouldnt hurt to try hope this helps

  • my car did this with a bad coolant temp sensor.

  • did you figure out the problem? what was if you did please

  • i would say a wire came lose under the distubuter cap

  • my prelude did this and its was because of a blow engine once you got it started it sounded like a blown connecting rod

  • looks like a dead battery to me ihad the same problem look at the dash lights hey flicker so thats wat i did and it worked

  • o2 senor for suree

  • hey dude my car kinda doina doin the same have you figured out what is it?

  • 1st reset your ecu in the fuse box in engine! take off 2 of the upper left fuse(see fuse box cover it will say ECU and ECU back up). take those off for about 10-15 seconds, and try starting your car again. if that dont work try using a different ECU.

  • other related things could be poor injectors, poor spark, poor wires, poor dizzy, poor wire harness, if its electrical then i wouldnt know where to start. check every sensor, tps sensor is located behind the TB, its screwed from inside out so you'll need to tap it, if you dont know how i recommend you bring it in or find someone who knows how to. check knock sensor and O2, also check your cat converter and make sure thats clean

  • btw have u tried adjusting the throttle body air control valve? located on left side of throttle body...

  • you i got the same problem!!! whenever my cars warmed up good and i shut it down, it gives me problem starting back up like that.... but its fine when not warm tho... sucks... let me know if u get it working!!!

  • yo i sorta have the same prob. sometimes it looses spark randomly. i replace my ECU in my 97 jeep cherokee 4.0. but i got it to star and i jiggled the wiring harness that goes to distributor, transmission gear sensor, ECU, fuel rail. and when its runnin when i move it it dies? i guess imma hav to make up a new harness with same plugs. see if that helps.?

  • my da is in the same situation as you right now. im stressin over it. how can you fix the tpc sensor?

did you fix the car yet?

  • the car wont stay on in neutral how is that the clutch ? its either the tps sensor or my computer is shot

  • to change tps sensor u gotta change the entire throttle body

  • @Zack18153 nope, these are bolts the tps has, just take a small rasp to shape the bolts so that you can unscrew them

  • @Zack18153 or pick up a Blox TPS sensor (it's like a $50 part), pm me for more info. I'm looking at a 96 Honda that needs a TPS sensor replaced.

  • @Zack18153 not true...just gotta be smart..i just changed the tps

  • What happens if you just change tps and use the same throttle body? Just curious cause thats what I did but im wondering if that causes any problems with driving it?

  • @Zack18153 no u dont cut off wheel on a angle air grinder cut slit in the lil bolt. turn with flat head. and reinstall a good tps with new headed bolts....

  • WTF!!!!!!! no you dont?! XP
