@USAV3T That's what most air assaults entail why would a helicopter pilot risk his chopper doing rappelling, or any of that other hollywood bullshit, when he has open ground to land on. He gets in dumps the troops and gets out without getting an RPG rammed up is arsehole.

They'll only use rappelling if they need to drop into an urban location, or somewhere where trees obstruct a landing site, stuff like that. Not when he has miles of desert.

Yea it was an Aimpoint optic system. Never used the ACOG and I like the Aimpoint a lot as well. Hell my old 1SG brought his own optics. Think he got them from the gun store near gate 5... talk about earning your pay. That was a long deployment.

Is the army cool with helmet cams? I'be been trying to find some code of conduct, rule book or something along those lines to follow when engaged in combat but no luck. I feel like thats something the brass would have a problem and say focus on fighting and surviving rather than make home movies to show your friends at home. I know the land warrior program is finally beginning deployment and they have weapon mounted cams but this looks like some guy just taped a camera to his helmet.
