  • This is soooo precious!!! Thanx so much for sharing..

  • amazingnesss! come check out my channel! i uploaded all 10 +3 songs from Red Velvet Car and the rest of my favorites

  • Is he using a univibe in the solo?

  • oh, Ann, you were my first rock lady idol and you will be my last! NO ONE can ever hold a candle to your voice, your lyrics, your stage presence and your musicianship! i love you always! thanks for being such an amazing influence on me in my formative years!

  • Woah.. Their amazing!

And i love how there's a timpani and flute :)

  • The extended section of this sounds like it was, with the exception of where Roger apes Page's violin bow stunt, inspired by Traffic and the Allman Brothers.

  • mt favorite Heart song of all. Ann has such a great great voice.

  • Roger Fischer is no Jimmy Page.

  • @rubbersole79

    But he's pretty damn close.

  • Amazing!

  • Where's the damn lighter key when you need it?????

  • DAMN, Ann is looking and sounding HOT here. What a voice! Nice flute playing, too.

  • Heart always had the right balance of sex and sass!

  • I feel so bad for what the guitarists had to deal with for amps back then.. Yikes.. lol.. MESA BOOGIE!!! Peace,, LOVE HEART!!!

  • Look out Ian Anderson, Anne can Rock the Flute!! Nancy is kinda in the back ground on this Jam? Great song!

  • @va4rebs That's what I thought when I first heard this song. Jethro who?

  • It's always a treat to watch Ann Wilson play the flute.

  • Annie don't know her own power, she doesn't even know what song this is. lol(ha!)

  • i am so glad that bands did away with the 70`s middle of the song guitar solo..and heart sure thought they were led zeppelin complete with violin bow solo and matching drum set not to mention the whole lotta love solo

  • @Jimmy1tooth That's because most of your

mainstream grunge type bands can't play

a solo. Love Zep but they wish they ever

sounded this good in '76 or just about any

    time live

  • Potent, silky-smooth drumming from Michael Derosier. Needless to say, the entire ensemble plays to a very high standard here...I'm glad Heart has allowed this performance to appear here.

  • Heart forever got me out of the top 20. Screw Lady Gaga, Ann Nancy, Steven, Roger, and Howard forever!

Sam them live in '08 and it was the best night ever.

  • ahhh! theif!

  • that was awesome! I could listen to music like this all day and most of the night!!

  • Fuck Ann is sexy. And that flute solo is badass.

  • whoa what a RARE CLIP this jams

  • I know things went bad between Nancy and Roger, but still, Roger was such an awesome guitarist. Heart's music, especially the early stuff with Roger on guitar were a huge influence on my guitar style. I loved his playing.

  • you guys mutsa been sonic with the full white stacks in a TV studio. it still sounds fantastic today.

  • It still has The Phantom of the Opera side to it...rite?

  • I love this. My favourite album ever by my favourite band ever!! Thanks. I love Anne Wilson. She is the GODDESS! Can she rock it up on that flute! A true Entertainer full of HEART!!!

  • ah yes, I remember it well! Love her vocals!!

Her flute playing gives me goosebumps!

  • I grew up on Heart, they smoke Michael Derosier is a great drummer, who studied John Bonham, and need I say anymore about the Wilson sisters, Fantastic!!!!!!!!!

  • WOW! Ann is such a babe, then and now!

    Great music too!

  • @dltacy YES SHE IS and who cares that she got heavy..... that is why they probably don't sing live except like Vegas......

It is hard to book people unless their skinny rock stars.....public pressure and the record companies are idiots

  • Is Nancy on the keyboard?

  • I wanna play flute since I heard Ann ( and Jethro tull of course)

  • Yep, they where big Zepp fans and very influenced by them as well.

  • Ah I see he is using the bow on his guitar, made famous by Jimmy Page

  • Jimmy Page

  • Heart really lit Second Ending, but what the show could never match raise again to that level.

  • oh wow i didnt know you can do that with the guitar!

  • OMG youtube never fails to blow me away. Love the "take me back" feeling everytime i come here. This is exactly what I saw when I was in high school. 70's guitar rock rules. Oh and disco sucked! :) I was there(class of 78).

  • i was quite impressed that anne could play flut also

  • That's baby making music, that's what that is.

  • thank you Ann and Nancy-we love you!

  • Sweet , Thank you Heart

  • I love you.

I've loved you from the beginning, and I love you still.

Heart is one of the very Tightest, Heaviest bands in the history of Rock, and that's the gospel truth.

They were then and they are now.

    Sing, child, sing....

  • Well said. They were powerful.

  • I've read that LZ looked at other singers over the last few years, after Robert Plant chose to not reunite with them for a tour. I've been curious to know if they considered the vocalist here? You know, the one with the flute and some of the greatest pipes known to man- and womankind? I bet her sister would have been great alongside Jimmy Page, too.

Failing that, eh, maybe the folks in this video can resolve their issues and play together again, one of these days...

  • Roger is awesome on that guitar!!!!

    Heart is the best

  • Awesome!!!! Heart rocks!!! Ann is beautiful

  • Nice.

  • Happy Birthday Ann!!

  • Ok I hear some Led Zepplin in that. But pretty cool lol.

  • Who's been listening to Jethro Tull! :)

  • great lineup here ,,experimental & very tasteful..the boyz made this band rock, big mistake to change personel.

the same happened to foreigner & other bands, they start out hot and right away change key personel.

  • Always loved this one. A forgotten classic! Ssiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiingg!!!

  • I love Heart!

Some of the lyrics in this song slay me.

  • fantastic live performance!

  • it's a shame there weren't more songs done with the flute... now that they've got the Lovemongers I hope Anne brings it back

  • I don't know why but it reminds me of something that would fit right in on Jeff Beck's Blow By Blow.

  • This song reminds me of' "funk 49" mixed with 'the crunge'. 4:49 live dazed & confused (the bow) Right on roger!! OMG I f*@kin' love HEART. 8:06 Ann's singing is so powerful.

  • 98.5 cleveland played this yesterday!!!

they had top 10 vocals all time

    ann got #5

    heart s band rocks too

  • wth... I live in LA, arguably the music capitol of the US and all we get is CRAP on the radio over here. I think I'd lose control and crash my car if this ever played on the radio while I drove it...

  • lmaooo I almost wrecked when i have to listen to the radio in between changing uup my cd's in the car lol..I t is pure shit isn't it??The world is coming to an end with the music and tv of today.80s ruled!!

  • your right bout the music today but 70's and 60's were better than 80's not saying the 80's is good just not as good.

  • Sounded like a little tribute to Jethro Tull and Led Zeppelin

  • Heart ROCKS!

  • I Love Heart! :=} This song has such a great groove to it. I love to drag out my old Heart records from the 70s... vinyl has this full and textured sound that cds can't reproduce (they're too clean) but this is really cool... thanx for sharing all of these kick ass treasures!

  • Absolutely awesome!!!!!!! Love it!!!

  • Was the Heart, Tull or Zeppelin?!?

    Rocking good stuff!!!!

  • any video of the original "Heart" stuff is priceless!

    enjoyed watching it!

ready to buy all of it! ..(if available?)

  • only undergound

  • @valcorrecords Awesome Heart at their Peak!! Is this out on DVD?

  • Best Heart Ever

  • This really needs to be released to DVD!

  • fucking awsome riffs and chords!! love chorus!!

  • One if my best loved songs by classic "Heart". I used to play this over and over through by AVENT speakers in college. Rogers guitar playing is amazing! After Dog and Butterfly,

When Roger and his brother left the group, I cried! What a performance!

  • where can I get this video?

    absolutely smoking

  • i'm also a big fan of the debut, an album i think they've chased their entire career. it's interesting how anne's vocals have always been compared to robert plant, and yet i never hear other fans cite the most obvious influence, grace slick, especially during her jefferson starship days of the mid seventies. "crazy on you", especially, is heavily influenced by jefferson starship. thanks for the treat, and rock on.

  • nancy you and roger are my heros and guitar heros I really wish roger wouldnt have left the band :-) but I really love your Ovation Adomis Acoustic and your blue telecaster you used in Bebe Le Strange

  • One of my favorites!!!! Chills every time!!! Keep on rockin!! Your originals are the BEST!!!!

  • One of the most under rated Heart songs EVER and is my fave off of Dreamboat Annie!! I used a bit of it in my Seattle Music tribute slide show if any of you would care to check it out. Ain't spammin' ya.. :)

  • ann is amazing. my new goal in life is to learn to play the flute lyk her (cuz i cant sing or play nething else lol) i dont think itll ever happen but itll keep me busy for the rest of my life =)

  • the great 70s music the good stuff before heavy metal !

  • This wasn't before "Heavy Metal" friend..:)

  • BEFORE??? Black SAbbath ring a (doomy) bell??? 1969/1970 70 release of the debut "Black Sabbath" album. Sabbath and Heart both awesome bands in the 70's whose music is still alive today!!

  • Yeah, but they were like the only ones (and Zep, but I don't consider Zep particularly metal) Sabbath pretty much invented heavy metal yeah, but I think this guy means post-1980 when metal was really taking off and then it became mainstream and just everywhere (and of course turned into pop-metal shit)

  • I was hoping there would be a clip for this brilliant song on here and here it is.

    Thankyou!

  • This is one of my favorites!!! Great jam session, of course!!! And a sort of mix between Jethro Tull and Led Zep, in my opinion. Good stuff!!!

  • Yes, and srarting around 5:16 I hear a little Toys In The Attic.

  • Thanks for posting this video! Great jam session . Rhythm incredibly tight with Michael Derosier, Steve Fossen and Howard Leese. I liked Roger Fisher's Jimmy Page-like use of the violin bow and jamming back and forth with Derosier. As always, kudos to Ann Wilson's amazing voice and talent as a flutist.

  • This is a jam session? I always take 'jam session' to mean improvised playing.

  • Sing it Ann!!!! :)
