  • I ask myself: The United States are still a democracy or not??

Because in North Korea, there are the same kind of ridiculous propaganda videos like that about capitalism.

The problem of the Americans is a problem of vocabulary due to their media and propaganda video like that, so they are unable to make the difference between social democracy (Scandinavian countries, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, etc...) and communism (North Korea, Cuba, USSR, etc...).

  • This EXACTLY shows what NOT IS Socialism !

Save your time to dismantle these lies later and ask Socialists what Socialism is.

At marxists. org you should find such texts in the introductionary section of texts.

I also suggest the essay - "Why Socialism?" by Albert Einstein watch?v=boNKRb-aNnM

  • @edgar0001 there are various definitions, some wider than others! but some of the essence is here

  • @edgar0001 funny how you typed all of this on a capitalist created YouTube.

    Why-come "socialists" don't create anything??

  • This voice is bad for my health.

  • Socialism is not, in my opinion, the best way to run an economy. When you set up all of these safety nets for people and have a government regulated economy, you only hurt the entrpenurial system. The best way to run an economy is to leave people live their lives. Look at Hong Kong, when the British ruled, they simply maintained order and safety. Then in only 50 years, the city boomed and went from a slum to the modern, rich city it is today.

  • @DukeofUSA I lived in Hong Kong for 12 years, and it has a massive gap in the wealth. Not a good example for capitalism. The only really "good" capitalist countries are the progressive ones (usually run by socialists, ironically) such as sweden.

  • @LordAcheron92

    rofl

    you're funny!

  • also, your first comment shows your massive lack of understanding of the core concepts of socialism. what you described isnt even close to socialism. do some research before you make such comments. it makes you look like less of an imbecile.

  • @LordAcheron92 sticks and stones, sticks and stones.

  • @DukeofUSA cant even form an argument, huh?

  • @LordAcheron92 No, can't even find the time to. I'm busy. lol

  • @DukeofUSA But you have time to keep replying, huh?

  • thumbs up if Obama brought you here ._."

  • didn't watch I can't understand what he's saying

  • I like the voice...it's a good honest voice....i wish my wife sounded like this.

  • I would've watched more than 30 seconds of the film if Barney Frank wasn't narrating it. XD

  • The heart of socialism is to deny citizens their right to private property by force of law, and thus the threat of violent force.

It is not based on the assumption will freely share their wealth but rather the assumption that they will not, and thus must be forced to.

  • @davidrodgersNJ dude ur retarted. socialism says that large amounts of property should not go to one person but to the community as a whole

  • @zombielandful "Should go to" by what means? Not voluntarily, but by force of law, you retard.

  • @davidrodgersNJ if thats what u think of socialism u dont know what socialism is

  • @zombielandful From Miriam-Webster: socialism: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods.

So if I'm in a socialist country, and I don't want to give the government my goods, or let them own my means of production, the government says "OK, never mind then?"

  • @davidrodgersNJ first off why would u trust a definition of socialism from a dictionary made by a CAPITALIST business? Secondly, in a socialist society the workers own the means of production

  • @zombielandful And how do the "workers" (i.e. the government) GET the means of production, you idiot? ASK NICE FOR IT? No, they take it by FORCE OF ARMS.

  • @davidrodgersNJ the workers get the means of production by rebelling against the capitalists and taking control of the factories or wherever they work and even if the workers take the means of production by force of arms theyre taking from their oppressive capitalist leaders wich in my opinion is a worthy reason to use force

  • @zombielandful So you agree with my original point. You also define "oppression" as earning one's own money, and applaud theft.

I'm ending this discussion. You are deluded and ignorant.

  • @davidrodgersNJ for one, i did not define oppresion as earning one's own money. Secondly why would you even bring that up? In a socialist society the workers do earn their own money, whereas in a capitalist society the capitalist gets rich and hires other people to do their work for them. FYI i've heard better arguments against socialism from people who actually know what both are. You sir are the one who is ignorant. Before you condemn my beliefs actually learn what it is you're arguing against

  • thumbs down for crappy robot voice-_-

  • @sovietkotek I lived in Russia for 9 years. What a disaster communism was to that country.I lived a few years in Magadan where Stalin sent any dissenters. Millions were worked to death and froze to death working in the gold fields north of magadan.I know some of the children and grandchildren of those people. Socialism destroyed the russian economy. Everything is in ruins. Your thinking is so shallow that it is hard to discuss this with you in an intelligent way. Socialism only works in theory.

  • @bushbarnes : I've been reading some of your responses and I have to ask: Do you know that there is a difference between Socialism and Communism? They are two separate things. I'm asking because in your post, you keep going back between the 2 like they are the same thing.

Although both have a foundation grounded in Marxism, and some would argue that socialism is the road that leads to Communism, after Lenin, this should no longer be considered the case.

  • @sovietkotek

It doesn't matter how honest people are socialism will wreck the economy. All socialist leaders want communism as soon as they can get it. It is a process of more and more government until they have enough power to shut down opposition bit by bit until they have the power to do their wonderful work "for the people of course".Tax revenue is the life blood of government. Business employes people so that they can grow. People pay taxes. No profit No business no taxes=poverty for all

  • @sovietkotek Sorry, not true. Been there, done that. It just cannot live up to the promises. Leaders always turn to corruption as the economy tanks, and it always does. A childish idealistic dream that turns to a nightmare when the powerful leaders turn nasty.

  • A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

    Milton Friedman

  • fucking yanks just give it up... communism, socialism and terrorism and you don't even know the definitions, makes the bunny cry...

  • wtf is this voice? a robot? thumbs down :(

  • If it is, it's a pretty good one. You'll be talking to computers soon enough. You better get used to it. ;)

  • @andristic No need to spread the "news". Everybody knows that communism is the bloodiest, most oppressive, most despotic ideology that only brought death, ecological and economic disasters where it reigned. No need to spread the "news" about communism. Planned economy is the epitome of idiocy. What is good about communism?? What problem did communism effectively solve in history?? Name me only ONE country where communism did not end up in a rotten shithole?

  • @andristic he dont wants to someone know his name because angry socialists will beat him xD

    also...video sux

  • @andristic the voice is scary.. lol

  • @andristic i thought it was quite soothing

  • Socialism is not the answer either. they both take to extremes. I don't mind paying a doctor. The doctor makes sense. What I do not like is the corporation around that doctor. I went to the emergency room a few weeks ago and I got my bill . Doc cost $120 for doc $5 for them to hand me a pain killer (street value) $50.00 to get a shot in my ass and $80.00 to have nurse put in my ass (prostitute cheaper) But still they have to get paid what I don't get is Emer 2 $420.00 WTF is that?

  • I can't watch this video...the voice is so annoying.

  • @Uzzie101 it's a pattern breaking voice. it broke you.

  • @oliverthered Actually yeah it's cold, emotionless tone is actually quite cool and "pattern-breaking"...

It's appeals to me because I'm cool

    *sarcasam*

  • is China socialist?no!i'm a Chinese and i know clearly it's a fake.

in my eyes, socialism is a great lie over centuries.the communist party made one of the bloodiest periods in Chinese history .even now ,never faced with the pressure from election,it has been a privileged class . it takes control of all of Media Organizations and broadcast how good what it did were ,most of which were opposite to the realities.so the people cannot get true infomation and always thought everything is fine

  • @antilcommunism China turned into Authoritarian type government didn't it? Like we are starting to become.

  • the narrator is a poor choice

  • His voice is irritating! i don't want to listen!

  • Actually the theory says that eventually after capitalism has passed, socialism has came and gone, and eventually communism will become a reality. Once this has happened, the society will no longer need government to function, even on the highest and most advanced scale. You want "small government"? You can't rush straight to it! The cavemen didn't try to build rocketships did they? Let's not get ahead of ourselves here! A road through socialism and communism must be taken first.....

  • It would be a wonderful world for YOU if you were anywhere close to being factual!

....Alas... you are 'reporting' to fellow humans! Pitty you dont quote sources of your info... so we 'normal' people can sue you and your sources and prevent you from further mistruths! PS..Synthetic voices are so boring nowdays!

  • See in socialism the rich buy off the politicians and they choose who has and how does not. Look at what we are facing in America now with Obama being invested in Petro-Bras. Stop oil drilling here so they can drill their for money while Americans loose jobs and pay more for fuel...

  • It was kind of hard to understand the narrator.

  • a government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything you have

  • Socialism is a failure, just look at Greece lol

  • Man, this mechanic voice makes it impossible to bear!

  • @bushbarnes I was being sarcastic on that last comment. Course we all die eventually. My point there is, it is extortion for me to have a way of curing you and than telling you, that you can live just a little longer if you give me everything you have. If my health is my responsibility than why is it I go to jail if I make my own drugs? If I can make my own opiates why go to a overpriced doctor to get prescribed a pain killer I know I have to have?

That is what I am saying

  • ...Is that Sulu from startrek TOS?

  • I'm terribly sorry. I clicked on this because I wanted to learn about socialism. However the freakishly disjointed artificial voice annoyed me to the point of stopping the vid. Just record your own voice next time.

  • There is never a viable either or formula for governing ourselves and at this point most of what has been attempted as a system for administering state power has been a mistake. It looks like history is about to take Conservatives and their disasterous Free Market Fundamentalism to the wood shed for a richly deserved horse whipping. So be it.

  • @jazzbo66zz Yep down with the system that has helped more people to a better life than any other system ever. Creeping socialism over the past 100 years has come close to destroying America. Obomunism is the climax of that drift. Thank God for Obama (the clumsy fool) for stepping well over the line and waking the freedom loving American people from their slumber.

  • @bushbarnes So far obama has not passed any laws that go against the constitution. Now bush on the other hand passed several. And remember it wasn't free market that helped america become better it was regulated free market. To little regulation and you have the problems we are just now crawling out of to much and you constrict the economy. And by the way 2 of the 5 happiest countries were socialist.

  • @olstar18 Yes and Iceland was one of them. Now bankrupt. The people are not happy campers. Socialism goes broke, end of story. The seeds of failure are implanted right from the start. Only works on paper in the long term. 50 years +-

  • @bushbarnes Try learning more about the world than what those 2 minute news reports on fox tell you. The main reason they were hit hard was a major case of fraud on the part of icelands banks. Think about. If the major banks of any bank are run into the ground so all the money in itgoes to the execs how is that the governments fault. By the way there is an ongoing criminal investigation into this and it has led to several governmental resignations.

  • @olstar18 Hey little boy I have been all over the world. My grandparents are icelandic. My parents speak the language. I lived in Russia for 8.5 years. Socialism always becomes corrupt and destroys the economy. Bribery is the order of the day. Your statement "By the way there is an ongoing criminal investigation into this and it has led to several governmental resignations" makes my point. The government becomes corrupted by having too much power. That is why communism/socialism always fails.

  • @bushbarnes Because it is run by humans. ALL governments are prone to corruption. In fact all organizations whether political financial or religious are prone to corruption. Yet for some reason people like you think that whatever their choice government happens to be is immune to this. And by the way wasn't it the republican party that had several district attorneys fired for trying to investigate several prominent party members for corruption and fraud. They aren't communist are they.

  • @olstar18 What have I said here that would ever make you think that I like the republican party. Both parties are corrupted by socialism. I am a defender of freedom through the US constitution.Wake up man and watch something besides the left wing media. Both parties rep and dem love to see us fight . They are basically the same. They only pretend to present a choice during election campaigns.Big government is always corrupt. The constitution harnesses human nature rather than trying to change it.

  • @bushbarnes Then you should realize this government is not socialism or communism.

  • @olstar18 It has been infected and is "progressing" towards totalitarian government by subverting the constitution. Hence the grass roots movement to restore the country back to where it was when anyone could realize their dream to rise out of poverty and become rich if they so desired. No other system has ever been so successful at creating opportunity for the down trodden of the world. People flocked in from every nation for that chance that was not possible under their systems of Gov.

  • @bushbarnes You have yet to say anything telling me how the government is socialism. Is it regulation of banks.

  • @olstar18 Business takeovers, huge welfare and entitlement programs,Government health care, attacks on freedom of speech, huge growth of the size of government,(bloated bureaucracy) over regulation of the economy, rampant corruption ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • @bushbarnes Are you saying that you would deny a single mother working 2 jobs and still unable to make enough money a welfare check so that she can keep her apartment and feed her children. The government size has nothing to do with communism thats just what happens when a country grows. And do you realize that we are working our way out of a recession caused by under regulation and just had an oil rig blow up again from under regulation. You dont know what your talkin about.

  • @olstar18 you are incorrigible. Try thinking past the first level. Put the dope away for a few days and let your mind clear up. You think like a fourth grader.(no depth) Like you have a clue as to what causes recessions. ha ha Big government always end in disaster and ends up supressing the useful idiots when they start to wake up.

  • @bushbarnes In other words you can not come up with any arguments to the fact that you are only thinking about the people who abuse the system and can not accept the idea that what is needed is a balance of regulation. To much regulation stifles the economy to little leads to what we're recovering from. By the way its was caused by the housing crisis which was caused by reducing the regulations on loans so anyone could get one and worsened by selling them as 'safe' investements.

  • @elfornse nonsense.lol

  • Walmart is a good example of a company that actively pursues Union Bustiing.

Why don't they respect the workers' rights' to organize?

Hmmm, I think the answer starts with a P and ends with a T.

  • The people trust unions less than they trust business. They have a right to organize and unionize but the majority reject unionization. Unions that I have belonged to were corrupt and oppressive.

  • @itrainsinoctober

you make a good point Deconstructing the vocabulary of markets is part of the process of divesting ourselves of their power over us. The terminology of power resides in terms like currency , exchange value, compensation and profit. Exposing the meanings of these terms in historical experience forces the illusions and injustices they represent to be brought to the surface.

  • @itrainsinoctober Workers have a right to organize. A business has a right to protect themselves from predatory union greed. Unions discriminate against against workers who want nothing to do with them. Unions leaders are in it for their own enrichment. Try speaking out against them if you belong to one and see what happens.lol I've been there. .

  • @bushbarnes What union were u in? and how did they discriminate against you?

  • @itrainsinoctober I belonged to the operating engineers, ibew (electrical workers)

and Painters union. Whenever I went to another area to look for work they treated me like crap. Like I was from another country or something. If you greased the skids in a careful way you could get sent out fairly quickly. Also at the home local nepotism was rampant. Sometime it was almost impossible to move up the list, especially for the younger more naive of us. Bitch and you would be sent out to the worst job.

  • this is really good but,

    HES TALKING TOO FAST!

  • A government big enough to solve all your problems is big enough to cause them.

  • @riverlioness A government which is fully democratic, merely represents the voices of the people. Therefore, if there is democracy, people get what they deserve. It is idiotic to both believe in democracy, and treat government as if represents another phenomenon. Conclusion: If government merely represents people in a democratic system, problems can be created only by the people themselves.

  • amen

  • @Revolutionarist88 yep and screw the minorities.Just mob rule.Pure democracy sucks. A constitutional republic is far above anything that a democracy can offer.Rule of law not mob rule.Checks and balances not a concentration of power. Small government not bullyism.Think think think. I am a Canadian but I truly admire the US constitution. Younger Americans do not learn anything useful about their constitution in high school or in university. (from their mushy headed marxist theorists professors.)

  • @Revolutionarist88

I agree. Your analysis makes sense. However, economic problems are far more destructive than social problems. the economy will not only affect the people receiving government freebies. In archeology, the economy usually collapses before an empire. Ancient Rome's debts accumulated before its collapse, and the people were forced to live in tribes. The idiots deserve what they get, but idiots tend to take everyone else down with them.

  • @riverlioness you make no sense at least they can solve them! here in the usa no one cares about you! why should the goverment!

  • @juanlmesl

You are so right. I need a reality check. The next time I write my state representitive, I'll be sure and ask him when he is going to increase my taxes. You should write a book called "Nobody here in the USA cares about you". Have you considered philosophy? Plato has nothing on you.

Thank you for the free eye opening revelation. I had no idea the government only cares about my money. Boy, do I feel like a fool.

  • @riverlioness you make no sence why solve them in the first place.

  • @riverlioness we need strong government to be socialize and civilizes!.............look at the third world countries!

  • @juanlmesl

I'm so uncivilized. I own a pin striped three piece suit. It was my raisings. My mother has a degree in accounting. I got addicted to getting to the double bottom line. I didn't have a proper socialist role model to teach me to sacrifice for the good of trailer trash. I could've majored in sociology in college, but I had to learn the hard way. Oh well, we can't all be social workers.

  • @riverlioness

A suggestion - not just to you but to all of those who post simplistic and arrogant one-liners thinking that it counts as a real arguement:

    STOP IT.

Engage in REAL debate, not slogan throwing!

  • @TheMchap123

Please excuse me for using one of Thomas Jefferson's one-liners.

  • @riverlioness

I know who said it. Just repeating the words of a past thinker doesn't mean you understand it. I am fully aware of the dangers of big government, but I am also aware of the Benefits, Alternatives, Modifications and Reasons as to why it is so.

Perhaps I am being to harsh, I just see so many truly ignorant people mindlessly chanting to centuries old proverbs pretending they know what they mean and that doing so somehow invalidates all other arguements.

  • @TheMchap123

I seriously doubt I will live to regret not honing my political debate skills at the office. Don't be afraid of hurting my feelings. You can be as harsh as your little heart desires. I'll still be laughing all the way to the bank.

Don't worry about me. I quickly recover.

  • "People sneak into America because they believe in the American dream."

All immigrants think that sneaking into America will give them a small chance to opportunity but nobody has told them that depending on your race, sexual orientation, size, shape of your face, and attitude that it will seriously affect your luck , benefits, and social status while you are taking steps towards the American dream.

socialism is suppose to have more strict laws against these to provide equal opportunity.

  • Working hard can never get you anywhere these days. You have to have connections and maneuver your way into jobs that you want or make top dollar. You have good experience business but from my experience, i faced discrimination from trying to get promoted even when i worked hard.

  • some good examples for the comment i made below are,

    - teachers who get less wages then a subdivision manager in a corporate business company.

    - A scientist (biochemist) gets payed less then a general doctor.

    - A postal worker gets paid less then a garbage collector.

Its just insane how capitalism is just ruled by markets where when times changed, suddenly people get paid less then others who were lucky to choose a particular job and ended up well off.

  • Capitalism isn't perfect but it also isn't better. Selfishness and greed is what people think when they want to achieve, its horrible but its the truth and it works. socialism may not be popular but its not fair how having people who love their jobs get less pay just because society doesn't really think its important then other jobs. most jobs are as equally important as certain jobs and socialist societies make sure people get balanced benefits.

  • @guardman12345 thats the reason in socialist or comunist countries .dont let you go .you can go travelling free around the world if not you never go back

  • then how come citizens from Norway and Sweden allow you to come back after traveling to other countries?

  • i meant how come the government of Sweden and Norway allow you to come back after traveling to other countries?

  • The* You* sorry for the grammar, typed way too fast.

  • Comment removed

  • its not perfect as people think, people who try to contribute to society may not want to be a business man like you, what if they want to be a clerk, or a mailman, or a surgeon or a salesperson? they get lower pay without noticing and they might lose their jobs around certain parts of U.S just for being gay. capitalism isn't the best but its better then communism. socialism to me is suppose to be you give then you give back as same as if you want respect then give respect. I dislike handouts.

  • as i stated before, If the individual chooses not to give their " productive labor" in any shape or form that is useful to society then they would be given the same treatment back. so to answer your question about my so called sister, i would say if she partyed and get drunk then society would get rid of all her benefits untill she gives back to society.

  • a socialist society isnt suppose to give handouts to those who do not contribute any of their " productive labor' back to society but it is true things slip and people get benefits without working. The main purpose is for everyone to be economically balanced because its unfair for someone to monopolize something like oil and heap the profits then let everyone else suffer. That is why i like the income taxes USA has. More you make, more the gov will tax you.

  • created*

  • i find it painful that in capitalism, greed drives everything and that it can also cause isolation as well as stigma towards everyone around themselves. Sure, money is good and everyone who has made city to nationwide achievements should be rewarded handsomely. Problem is that not everyone who is born with nothing can get to the top as everyone would say, sometimes due to racism and other negative factors can restrict certain people from obtaining the rank. capitalism is good but not the best.

  • Yah and I sympathize with that opinion. However I think people fall into a trap of thinking that it is the role of government to solve all of these types of problems, just like they think we can legislate good behavior and moral values. IMHO, I think the answer to these issues is cultural and has more to do with a combined effort to shape the way we and our children interact with the world and treat eachother.

If only secular familys could find value in their community that churchs provided!

  • just remember that without government, banks would've been owned by 2 old guys.

  • Totally wrong. I can speak for my country, Canada. Before we had a central bank there was lots of competition between banks, each bank even had its own currency and exchange rate. In the US, Andrew Jackson had to fight banking interests from pushing for a central bank, they even caused an economic crisis to put pressure on him from the people. Monopolies don't exist without government interference.

  • actually, go read about the America banking system in America and you'll see when banks were introduced, less then a handful of people were owners of those banks.

  • btw, i speak for the united states in my opinion not canada, i do not know any history for canada.

i just finished taking a history course in college about the birth of america and man, banks owned by a few old guys is not funny.

  • You mean without a constitution and good laws. Otherwise the banks would be owned by one old guy (for government to blame for problems)and the government

  • Lust for power and Greed drives socialism. Competition is hammered not tolerated.

  • how does lust for power and greed drive socialism?

all i see is that more of your income taxes taken to give every person benefits so they can relax when they cant afford it. Its the same way Andrew Carnegie gave back before he died. All i see in capitalism today is that money drives people to work and nobody does it for the heart. please do not mix this with communism where everyone was low and there was a handful of powerful people. socialism is suppose to give back.

  • People should work for their own upkeep. The handout makes people dependent and weak obligated to their provider.

The handout takes away self respect and over time the ability to provide for oneself . That is wrong. Welfare providers try to take the man out of the getto. Self sacrafice and hard work takes the getto out of the man and he then has power to takes himself out of the getto. Socialism is basically state wellfare. It completely crushes the poor. Look at socialist Detroit for example.

  • socialist societies don't give handouts, its simply a you give ,you get back trade.

Detroit? ill check that one out.

    "Socialism is basically state welfare."

hmmm that's controversial, i wont get into that yet but i know is that if you work in a socialist society that you get better benefits then capitalist societies. I would have to agree with you that welfare isn't a right thing to do as everyone should get a job and give back to society as society is giving individuals the benefits.

  • It is impossible to get rich without making others rich at the same time. Companies are always looking for good help and good suppliers. Some of the people that worked for me 30 years ago have made fortunes for themselves and have also provided oportunities for their suppliers ,employees etc to gain wealth. I was 33 years old and sleeping outside when i decided to take charge of my own life. Within 4 years I had learned a trade and had bought a motel. Capitalism is not the problem government is.

  • "It is impossible to get rich without making others rich at the same time. "

thats partically correct as bill gates crerated the PC and made more then those board of directors in his company. Sure one cannot get rich without others getting rich but the one who is the richest is the creator most of the time.

  • I am talking about small business. You do not build a company without positivly affecting a lot of other people financially. If you think that everyone should have almost exactly the same then you need to think more about that. So was it wrong for your parents to have more money than one of your neighbors that didn't want to work for more money?Would it be ok if you had a sister who only wanted to partyand play around for your dad to take the money that you work for and share it with her by force?

  • "So was it wrong for your parents to have more money than one of your neighbors that didn't want to work for more money?"

you know, there are factors adding why someone cannot make more money then someone else. The American dream is a lie as discrimination occurs so much that even if you do have a small business, youll have a tougher time then someone else who is better off then you. Sure people are lazy but what about those who have mental illnesses or better yet disabilities?.

  • Families that care for one another always do well. There is nothing wrong with having a tough time. My struggles have made me strong so that I have been able to help many other people to help themselves. There is more discrimination in every other country in the world than there is in north America. Many people of every race can prosper financially here. The bottom line is socialism is not new. It destroyed the Roman Empire. It eventually destroys wealth and innovation. Big government is bad.

  • "Big government is bad. "

i can say the same with small government where businesses rule over gov and the people cant do anything about it.

"Many people of every race can prosper financially here. "

that is not completely true. people like Latinos who are recently immigrants cannot always prosper even if USA is a opportunity for everyone as they say. you can work your butt off on anything and you cannot always get to that position or make alot as you please.

  • C'mon man, you need to think things through. The people completely control small business. Also there is tons of competition for every small business. Small business provides more than 90% of the jobs in the country. If a small business does not treat their customers like royalty they go broke, because their customers go elsewhere. It is huge business protected from competition (monopoly) by big government that screw us all. People sneak into America because they believe in the american dream.

  • hmmmm, your right but i just want equality instead of irregular life chances each person has when they start the road towards the American dream.

"It is huge business protected from competition (monopoly) by big government that screw us all."

This indeed happened back in the early 1800s all the way to 1950s.

My family does have a small business and is struggling today and they personally told me that their struggles were worst and not all hardships are the same.

  • @bushbarnes iam agree in a socialist countries in the top moment .economy topic. like URSS they provide to the people bad rice (even you cant sell it in america) sugar, tea .flour. because they dont have competition is only one big company (goverment) with crap quality

  • @bushbarnes so they live a dream when they get there, Enron and all the corporations live the reality....the american reality

  • @bushbarnes

what if this small busineess earns more profit than the other business? That's not equailty.

  • @CloudsofBliss You mean like the russian joke. Hey mr government man my neighbor has 3 pigs and i only have 2. Make him kill one of his pigs so that we can be equal.lol I feel that you are sincere about wanting things to be equal but that would be a living nightmare for everybody. I lived in Russia for 9 years. Trying to make everyone equal wrecked everything. It was like a huge game of survivor. Lying, stealing, cheating. The best at it wins. That's what communism does to people. It does no work.

  • @bushbarnes

Capitalism don't offerr the dream that everybody wants to get. You still poor and awful. You are not going anywhere if your busniess isn't growth that you want to be. Plus, companies want to raise the unbelievable price up so they can steal the money that you have earn.

I haven't lived in Russia, but I lived in US for 21 years. I know about capitalism. It isn't pretty as it seems.

  • @bushbarnes

If the government will own the companies and health care, then competition and profit will be out of the equation.

What happens to society when our family and needs are more important than money?

  • @CloudsofBliss Yes but all socialists ever seem to think about is money money money. Somebody has more money than poor me or poor her. When are you socialists going to start to think things through. Wealth is produced by people trying to better themselves. For gods sake look what communism has done to the people that it was supposed to help. Most of the well off people in a capitalist society were once poor as was I. Poor people that want to get a better life go to work and make a good life.

  • @bushbarnes those are encouraging words, but a little too simplistic. alot of hard working, good people ended up in breadlines in the 30s. hard work is a big part of success, but not its entirety. bad luck and circumstance can wreck even a hard working person. but yes there is a bit of truth to what you say

  • @CloudsofBliss I have no idea what will happen. Are you saying that earning money on your own is the best way to provide for your family?

  • @bushbarnes thats strange. im british but have many friends that have left eastern europe after the soviet union ended. every one of them has said that their countries were better off during communist times than they are now. Life was good in the ex soviet states but now theyre a capatalist country its shit.

  • @tyebo87 Not true. What happened is that socialism completely destroyed the economy and the environment. It worked for a short time but collapsed and it is taking capitalism to rebuild the economies of the failed socialist system. The government went broke and the people had no choice but to find ways to survive. The government de regulated . So millions of small enterprises popped up all over.. If capitalism had not kicked in millions would have starved and rioting would have killed many more

  • @bushbarnes the change from strict communism to liberalisation in a very short time. in this time small companies rose not after the soviet union ended. also when other states were given the chance to stay or leave from the union many left. but now the people from these countries wish that it had never happened as now the european funding has runn out they are poorer than ever. take lithuania and the other baltik state for example. after the break from the soviet the new capatailst government

  • @bushbarnes made alot of money and received funds from the EU to help them. but the governments have became corrupt. house prices have rocketed yet wages remain low, unemployment is high the quality of life is poor and now they have looked to the rest of europe for work. trust me i know my mother is lithuanian i have many eastern european friends, the ones old enough to remember the old times say they were better.

  • @tyebo87 Of course it was better before it totally collapsed the economy. If I live of my credit cards for a couple of years I can have great fun. But when the credit runs out and all the bills come due life turns hellish. Of course I would pine for the old days before I ruined my credit. Think man. socialism never works out in the long run. It is an idealistic dream that turns into a nightmare.

  • @bushbarnes never thought of it like that suppose your right.

  • @bushbarnes but what about sweden and the other scandanavian countires there a socialist democracy there doing well. the have the highest wages in europe. and lowest unemployment.

  • @tyebo87 Sorry I got busy for a month. Well you see Sweden,Denmark,Norway,Finland are all very small countries population wise. (around 6 million and less). They rely heavily on exports to support their social programs. When larger countries try the same thing they cannot find large enough markets to support their wants so they start running deficits, Canada, pop. 30 million has a hugh consumer next door. If the US continues to socialize and stops importing, Canada and scandinavia are in trouble.

  • @bushbarnes

but things are easier to obtain here than other countries, that's why it's the american dream

  • @bushbarnes it is also big corporations that pay of government to keep small businesses out of business.

  • @Itallsounddasame I said that. see above.

  • @bushbarnes missed that comment (picks up face off ground)

  • @bushbarnes What is the success rate of new businesses and why?

  • @bushbarnes Then eventually the system will fall.

There will be more distance between the classes and corporations will grow stronger. senseless wars will be held and natural resources dried up. We will cause overfishing and deforestation and this world we live in is on an all around down course. Consumerism, Advertisements, WWII, Vietnam, Trading ban on Cuba, pollution, fashion, Iraq, Afghanistan, war on drugs, war on communism, armed forces, oppression, I could go on forever...

    .............

  • @PesiCoolI lived in Russia or 9 yrs No foreign enemy could have more thoroughly destroyed a country Theft is rampant, the environment is destroyed, medical care is broke hospitals are full of cockroaches and you have to bring your own medicine and soap and toilet paper, the economy is destroyed, only the well educated have any decent life and you bribe the teachers to get into university, they killed 20 million plus of their own citizens because they resisted, and now they have turned to capitalism

  • @bushbarnes If you educate yourself properly about communism you will see that all the "bad sides" some say it has, are a complete contradiction of what it really stands for.

  • @PesiCool What it stands for is the complete opposite of what it really does.

  • @bushbarnes no, on the contrary.

Many of those who claimed to stand for the cause, actually contradicted it with their policies.

  • @bushbarnes No, on the conrary. Many of those who claimed to stand for the cause actually contradicted it.

  • @guardman12345 Not eveyone wants to be at the top, in Capitalism you have a choice. Whats wrong with being middle class? This is the problem, just becuase one person makes billions does not mean that I need to but I benifit from capitalism becuase of the life style I can afford from rich people. I am lower middle class but have more than I could ever "need". MOST NOT ALL people who are poor and complaining about it did it to themselves, drinking and playing video games doesn not impove yourlife

  • @Albee213, true! i agree most people do this to themselves and there are people who abuse the welfare system as well as being completely lazy all the time. I just feel like capitalism is just money everywhere while socialism is where people are needed to care for each other. The thing i hate most about socialism ill admit is that it helps the lazy and stupid and they don't even contribute back to the country. socialism still has its benefits to me than capitalism.

  • when i said give back, i meant the amount of labor you give to society, you should get back the same amount. i don't know if you have taken sociology in college but to make sure people are NOT tempted to do crime, society gives punishments as severe as possible so people do not dare attempt to commit such crimes. If no one does do any crimes then society would be a better place ri
