Possibly the greatest cinematic moment I've ever seen. The combination of incredible, dizzying (and unusual at the time) camerawork and cinematography that looks fantastic on a big screen, astounding score from talents that tour performing their work and deep relevance to the plot and almost mythical characters portrayed by 3 brilliant actors ...and this got called 'spaghetti western' as if it was some kind of cheap 'fake' western that didn't compare to the mediocre John Wayne style films.

The greatness of this scene is that for 2 ½ hours of a slow, but moving and cinematically extraordinary storytelling, THIS is what they have all been looking for and suffered. Three men, only knowing one part of the secret location of the treasure, finally arrive at the cemetery where it is buried. THIS, along with the final duel, is the absolute climax of the movie. There is a sense of thrill in this scene which summarizes the whole movie.

As a kid, I grew up watching old western movies -- The Ecstasy of Gold and other Morricone gems were very familiar to me (I even had some cheap tape with most of these tunes) -- then, growing up, I started listening to Metallica -- then I found out they used this clip to open their concerts.. and then, in 2010, I was able to see this, live *goosebumps*

In the next scene, where Angel Eye's throws the spade and says the whole '2 can dig a lot quicker then one' speech, you can see that building over his....left shoulder I think, or his right, but you can see it briefly...you can see it again when he then puts his gun away a few moments before they start the duel, hope that cleared that up! :) XD
