So can you even use grapples on the really big bosses, or are you just kind of fucked against them?

@Shinkada Yes you can. Grapplers have a special passive called Grab Cannon which is basically an alternate style grab particularly for monsters that can't be grabbed normally. This grab is capable of completely interrupting the boss and grants all the same invincibility frames each skill incorporates in the "original" styles of the skills, at about 3/4s of the maximum damage the skill was capable of.

@mysuckylife I'd recommend Grappler to anyone playing DFO. The class itself is insanely fun and very basic as well as beginner friendly. The only downfall, the MP drainage is horrifying.

This was during dfo pts, item drops were broken, only weapons and armor you could get were from npc quests or npc shops. Notice his air walk doesn't even hit for 800. Grappler is mostly fixed damage but he's actually doing a good job.
