  • ok post the lyrics someone.

  • Yikes, did anyone suffer from seizures while watching this?

  • Anybody else remember the Warner Brothers sweet packets that were a long chain of individuals? My mouth is watering from the nostalgia

  • best cartoon in 90s

  • i loved this cartoon

  • Crack up. The song is about Tasmania, but in the beginning taz is standing in front of what appears to be Uluru

  • yes there were tons of characters according to the intro, but I don't remember half of them and I watched this show a lot.

  • TAZAMANIA Tazamania we need you!

  • So. Was Taz the oddball or the normal one in the family?

(He's the only one who doesn't wear clothes!)

  • as someone who actually lives in the real Tasmania, tassie devils are nothing like Taz and although i love the character and the show i think people need to realise that the real tassie devils out there are facing extinction due to unknown tumor disease, so while on youtube please look them up and spread the word that more funding can help save these little guys. cheers

  • Felling Nostalgic yo

  • I meant to say "Or at least, I think I have"

  • I've never seen this before...Or at least, I have...And just don't remember.

Awww, anyways, this opening theme is quite catchy.

  • Great intro but I hated the cartoon :(

  • 0:24 - are they jonnies?!

  • I'm going touring around Austrialia,New Zealand and Tazmania. It better be as awesome as this intro.

  • Taz Bar, anyone?

  • Then there's a pig in a suit on a cellphone, such is life.

  • The narrator who does the voice for the opening kind of sounds like wakko from Animaniacs...hmmm.....could be the same guy. Lol

  • @CorpseGrinder1313 It is. :)

  • I recall there was a shorter version of this, that I assumed was just down to time constraints. It cut the flashing and the 'topsy-meets-turvy' line. Perhaps the flashing was the reason after all. Bonus factoid: I have epilepsy and think this is awesome.

  • Fucking livid how this still hasn't been released on DVD.

  • theres a better opening title

  • Didgeri Dingo was the best.

  • @sec0ndevolution bush rats were my favourite they were bonkers lol

  • I'm surprised they got away with all the flashing effects in this intro without a warning for people with epilepsy.

On another note, yet another great cartoon from the 90s :)

  • This show came out in 1991, more than 5 years before the "infamous" episode of Pokemon that caused so many kids to experience epilectic seizures.

  • 240p...we meet again.

  • I remember this , good old 90s cartoons cant beat em :)

  • THIS SHOW WAS THE SHIT BACK IN 2002!!!!!! FCK YEAH I MEAN YOU!!

  • @Wookieecock 2002?? wtf this is from the 90s

  • i loved this show

  • Classic

  • Did I see Simon from yogscast in there? xD

  • @Phil51094 lol.

  • is that wakko?

  • @Hisuiyx someone say my name?

  • Is that Wally Gator?!

  • forgot about this one, love it though!! great show! :D used to watch it after school :D

  • I just noticed that the guy that the guy that's singing the intro sounds EXACTLY like Wakko from Animaniacs! =D

  • @johndill90 that's because he is lol, Jess Harnell ;)

  • Wow, I haven't seen this intro in almost 15 years. Oh, to be young.

  • Ahhh..the good ol days....nowadays.....kids are forced to watch teen shows with no content whatsoever... *sigh*

  • I Used to love this cartoon

  • OMFG this show.

  • LOVE IT ;0)

  • the first part is good but i hate the rest

  • Awesome :D

  • I loved this show!!!

  • I remeber this for the SNES what a game!!

  • 1:01 is the bedst part of this intro XD

  • First time ive heard it in years and I still now all the lyrics...

  • omfg i remember this! fucking class.

  • I miss this snow.

  • Does any1 remember the episode where Taz and his dad guard an orange tree from the Bush rats and it's like war bte. them?.This was a really good modernization of a Looney Tunes character. Can the same b said of the recent kind of new "The Looney Tunes show"?

  • rayahbluddyedepff!

  • Wow the makers of this intro hated epileptics...I used to get annoyed as a kid cause I never saw any episodes with the pig with the mobile phone but he was in the intro so he must have been in the show.

  • @cokieblume

I remember he was in one episode trying to help somebody catch the kiwi I think (Can't remember who)

  • @cokieblume i remember him in one episode. he was a douche.

  • @cokieblume -- Buddy Boar....he was in a few episodes, but sort of dropped out of the series. They even joke about it in a couple of his appearances (cf. "Retakes Not Included", "Willy Wombat's Last Stand"), having other characters ask about his absence or mistakenly think he got fired (he insists he's a producer now). I actually liked Buddy better than Digeri Dingo, who was, as zmatthew91 puts it, truly "a douche".

  • @cokieblume hes in about 4-6 episodes

  • Welcome to the land that's way under down under the sky's always yellow in rain or shine.Down in.... Taz-mania come to Taz-mania..topsy meets turvy and he's started to spin like a Tazmanian devil and his closes kin.Down in Taz-mania.come to Taz-mania. mom's a live wire dad's a bump on a log ,molly's all fired up while jake plays with the dog...

  • Down in Taz-mania come to Taz-mania.Digeri Dingo and Wendel t wolf ,Francis x Bushlad is never uncouth,Bush whacker Bob, and his mother called mum,Constance and Thickley just want to have fun,Bull Gator and Axel are always left sore ,if u have a deal just call Buddy Boar ,the Platypus Brothers are backin' about ,the kiwi, the bushrats, have we left anyone out ,oh yeah don't forget Taz...He put the Taz in Taz-mania,down in Taz-mania,come to Taz-mania ...we mean you!

  • @cfcseanybhoy been wanting to know the lyrics to my fav part of this intro for years!

  • What is it with them using red and yellow flashing backgrounds in this intro? No wonder the BBC had to chop it down when they used to show it, and RTE don't even use the opening titles these days.

  • I remembered that show when I was Little.

  • thumbs up if u went to tazmania .

  • i wish there was subtitles lol :P

  • And Then!!!

  • hahahaaaa bushwacker bob used to annoy me so much

  • Comment removed

  • I used to watch this show religiously his family was from tazmania but they looked like black suburbans.

  • These are the harder understood lyrics: Where topsy meets turvy and they start to spin, Mom's a live wire, dad's a bump on a log, Molly's all fired up while Jake plays with the dog. Digeri Dingo and Wendel T. Wolf, Francis X. Bushlad is never uncouth. Bushwacker Bob and his mother called Mum, Constance and Thickley just want to have fun. Bull Gator and Axl are always left sore, If you have a deal just call Buddy Boar, The Platypus brothers are a-backin' about, The Kiwi, the bushrats...
  • Its been a long time, but I swear this had some saxaphone in it....

  • Ohmigod! This was the cartoon that made me a retard but I dont care!

  • Nostalgia!

  • This reminds me of Saturday mornings :D

  • haha its fucking epileptic xD

  • Love this cartoon!

  • waaa waaaaaa waaaa bllllllllllla

  • Back when cartoon characters were allowed to be nihilistic ^_^

  • CLASSIC

  • Blah blah blah yakity smackity

  • Wow, haven't seen this in years.

  • The best thing I can remember about this cartoon is that Taz's dad sounded a lot like Bing Crosby. And he pushed oj as well.

  • Ah good times good times..

  • 16 has been crushed by a fat female Koala bear, crushed by a rock, and been rammed by a car XD

  • sooo many memories

  • My gosh I remembered this show and I was trying to remember the title, now I know so thanks a bunch for posting.

  • ah yes that takes me back!

  • its a lot slower than i remember :S

  • I didn't know WHAT the hell a tasmanian devil was til I seen this show!

  • this should the video used for the travel bureau :L

  • flash back........

  • the sega genesis taz game made me rage so hard Dx

  • Epileptic fit inducing loveliness! Awesome memories!!

  • 0:15 I never could figure out if the toucan got fried or not.

On a side note does WB even show cartoons anymore

  • I don't think that's Tasmania XD

  • oh my god, the last time i saw that i was like 7 or 8, im 21 now, its like my childhood came rushng back for a few minutes.. soo strange lol. i used to watch this on a saturday morning and i remember my brother used to do the bit at the very end that noise Taz makes lol .. memories :( i hate being an adult.

  • Watching this, I feel a rush of childhood innocence going through me. But the fact that this cartoon is already 20 years old also makes me feel like a decrepit, geriatric, metamucil-addicted old geezer.

  • Help! I'm stuck in a nostalgia loop!

  • @TheTBaron same, spending hour after hour watching intro's in the middle of the night reminiscing about the good ol' days whilst only 17 years old...

  • Its 4:00 pm on a Friday all over again.

  • 0:35

Digeri Dingo and Wendel T. Wolf,

Francis X. Bushlad is never uncouth.

Bushwhacker Bob and his mother called Mum,

Constance and Thickley just want to have fun.

Bull Gator and Axl are always left sore.

If you have a deal just call Buddy Boar,

The Platypus brothers are a-backin' about,

the kiwi, the bushrats, have we left anyone out?

  • 16 people didn't realize that THEY MEAN YOU!!!

  • I LOVE THE WAY THEY SAY TAZZ IN TAZZMANIA!!

  • @gregsruneco I think it sounds more like a Scouse accent than an Australian. This must be the guy who voiced Wakko from Animaniacs (who was supposed to sound like Ringo Starr)

  • Getting up before school to watch this and coming home to watch this. Those were the days!

  • ahahahhaha i miss my childhood daysssss

  • Holy Shit I forgot Taz had his own series it was awesome!!!

  • sorry for being a troll but this show is really stupid, even though it's for kids. And why does Wendell actually look like a wolf more than a Tasmanian wolf?

  • Watching this made up a very large part of my childhood...

  • 0:40 AHHHH Dr Robotnik. " I hate that Tazmainum Devil more than that Headgehog"

  • of all the looney tunes shows i really loved taz! he is a great character and always finds the best adventures. i was laughing when taz went to space. his shutte was hilarious looking.

  • no wonder i didnt want to do homework after skool...awseome shows like this were 2 damn good to miss lol

  • I smiled the entire time I watched this...wooowww..

  • I miss the old cartoons, This used to be the shit after school at 3:00.

  • "TAZZ HATE WATER! "

  • Wrestling has its references, also.

It's funny that their was a generational gap between The Bushwackers (Luke & Butch) and "Human Suplex Machine" Taz(z). A fued would be brilliant, since Taz(z) has mentioned that he was named after the Looney Tunes/Taz-mania star. As for The Bushwackers, they'd probably hire Skinner (heh) as a manager if they were to actually fued with Taz(z).

  • I've always wondered why it's so fricking hard for them to use actual AUSTRALIANS when voicing Australian characters

  • @donstuie Well you'd think that but I'm guessing it's because there aren't many Australian voice actors in Hollywood and there seems to be like this clique of voice actors that always get parts in cartoons (Frank Welker, Dan Castellneta, Rob Paulsen, Tress MacNeille, Jim Cummings etc). So instead of bothering to track down an Australian actor who could do this, it was probably easier for them to just get the guy who voiced Wakko in Animaniacs.

  • To this day, I still have no idea what the singer says in some parts of this theme!

  • @TinnoUnited I don't think he speaks English.. AT ALL!

  • @gregsruneco Agreed!

  • brill

  • I didn't know we had wolves in Australia. We have Tigers, but not Wolves.

  • @yodadude666 I didn't know we shipped you over some yellow(?!) kiwi either...

  • @yodadude666 there are no tigers in Australia or wolves, but he's supposed to be a thylacine (Tasmanian wolf or Tasmanian tiger)

  • @nw5111 I realised that. I do live in Australia and I was making a joke about the fact that we refer to them as Tasmanian Tigers, NOT Tasmanian Wolves.

  • @yodadude666 More to the point, they're extinct, so call them what you like.

  • @nw5111 Tasmanian tiger...we've no wolves here

nor do we have dingos....or ularu..or toucans O__o

  • @Karoodiaencoure or kiwis

  • I'm from Tasmania. The guy singing sounds like anything EXCEPT Australian.

  • @BingtheLizard He sounds a little South African.

  • @BingtheLizard

Look up the Mancunian (England) Accent.Thats what he sounds like.

  • @BingtheLizard Australian is one of the hardest accents to imitate, there is nothing like it in the world except kiwi. I have tried and failed miserably at imitating an aussie accent.

  • @BingtheLizard - I've seen Home and Away, Neighbours and Crocodile Dundee. This guy sounds 100% Australian but maybe not quite as retarded.

  • @Londanuk LOL I was thinking that same thing

  • @Londanuk Bit of a blind judgement there. The Brits I've met don't sound like James Bond. Most people have a much milder accent in reality. The one in this intro is way over the top however.

  • @BingtheLizard to me it almost sounds south african or new zeland to me, sounds like someone trying to put on a fake aussie accent

  • @BingtheLizard I'm English and when I was younger I had it in mi head that he was too :/

  • oh my god i just realize the title character never spoke one word throughout the entire show. why in the hell did i watch this?

  • @gregsruneco You can't honestly tell me you're surprised that an American show can't do an Australian accent justice. Like... seriously.

  • 16 people was left out in this song

  • Warning: Might contain flashing images. Also @ 0:40 it's Mike Mozart :D

  • totally forgot this show! i love this show!

  • god I miss these days

side note: Bushwhacker Bob has got to be related to Robotnik

  • Crushing peoples in the cartoons is deff the funniest thing but you don´t see that in today show anymore.

  • EPIC CARTOON!!

  • Oh man. I just got hit with the nostalgia shovel.

  • I loved this show. Remember Taz's dad was Bing Crosby? And the road movie ep's they would do when "Crazy Uncle Bob" (Bob Hope) would show up?

  • i need a time machine :(

  • @alexsaga212 me too.

  • memories

  • Man i so miss these shows..(L)

  • god bless youtube

  • Out of all the Looney Toons/Steven Spielberg cartoons, this is the one I watched the least... Why won't Cartoon Network figure out that most of the shows that come on now suck?

  • i remember when this was on BBC 2. i'd get my dad to tape the programmes on the breakfast show while i went to school, then what it all when i came home.

    those were the days

  • brings back the memories

  • good times. :D

  • That sounds like Wakko from Animaniacs

  • @jediskunk67 I'm sure to 99% that it's Jess Hanrell singing it (The voice of Wakko). =)

  • @VoiceActorDreamer: Sounds like him. Funny that, since Tazz is a WB character, who ended up teaching the next generation--Dizzy--in Tiny Toons, "sister" show of Animaniacs (with Wakko and his brother Yakko & his sister Dot), Freakazoid, Histeria, etc. Created by Tom Ruegger and Steven Spielberg.

  • Bushwhacker Bob was my favorite lol

  • of course they won't allow this nowadays because of the flashy screen causing epilepsy!

  • @LeClassics hahah watching it NOW i realize that to. as a kid i wouldnt have thought of that

  • does anyone remember cadillacs and dinosaurs?

  • A truly awful accent. A truly epic show.

  • Gators and Toucans down under? really?

  • Bull and Axel totally evolved into Pinky and the Brain.

  • Check out my rendition of Tom & Jerry Kids opening on piano!
