Wouldn't it be easy enough to have one or two people standing outside the voting offices on election day asking every voter the first letter of the person they voted for, then collaborate and combine the polls ourselves to test the machine.

Expert1221 those are called exit polls,and they're done in every recent election so that news channels can make projections before all votes are tabulated.A better way is a bi partisan committe asigned to provide oversight on companies like Diebold who have the software contracts for vote tabulation.Diebol's biggest contributor for the last two elections ironically has been the Republican Natinal Committe.
