  • Could have looked better if you did Bikram Yoga..

  • Awesome Job Dude. This Video will inspire a lot of people and if they are not impressed they likely have not performed the workout themselves.

  • Great Job! This is inspiring!

  • You're a freakin beast.

  • great job mate. Thats a really hard work out (I've done it)and it kills you.BTW - I want that gym/garage

  • You call those pull-ups? lolololo

  • @AnnihilaterX They are called kipping pullups, and require you to use many muscles.

  • Nine inch nails...

  • hey man nice! love

  • great work man... only thing you should have been doing was to clean the bar up to the front rack position then do it.. but hell man what a difference! congrats! I love CF!

  • I just did my second Fran last friday. Shaved 3 minutes off the time and did the thrusters with full prescribed weight this time. Congrats man. Don't listen to the haters until they come to your gym and try it.

  • is 95 lb thrusters an Rx

  • Forget all the haters, what you're doing there is more than most of these people will ever be able to do. They're just jelly!

  • Such Inspiration thanks man!! I started cross fit 2 weeks ago BOdy is soar all the time :)

  • Alright people lay off the haterade and sit on a grenade give the guy the props he deserves.

    Good Job Man.

  • Crossfit basically stole the 6-12-25 from Olympic training that has been around for ions. If you read up about Olympic training, what Crossfit has also done is taken from here, there and everywhere and marketed it as their own. What they don't show is injuries which are staggering from this. That pull up is retarded and promotes 1) tear of the labrum and 2) a terrible motor skill and at what cost? Fran?

  • @mrceebees14 suck a fat one pussie just cause your body a weak peice if crap if u cant swing then id hate to see u fall over ud probably break a hip pussie

  • @junkmanix Nice language, typical "crossfitter" reply.

Wouldn't break my hip, because I wouldn't swing like an idiot and destroy my shoulder and create an imbalance in the back etc.

    Keep drinking the kool aid.

  • @mrceebees14 pussie

  • @junkmanix Because I am smarter then your average cultfailure?

Guess what princess, the lawsuits are just piling up and cultfail is actually starting to go the reverse because the word is out there, it's crap.

  • @mrceebees14 You could not be more wrong. WTF is 6-12-25? There is no crossfit workout that calls for that rep scheme.

  • @jbandkg100 It's a rep range, Crossfit took it and changed it to 29-19-9 (if I remember correctly.) Which is retarded since the whole idea of 6-12-25 is to tap into ALL of the motor units in a muscle group. 29-19 are the same motor units, 9 is Hypertrophy, but this is Crossfits thinking. Crossfit tries to reinvent the wheel, but it isn't going to happen, you aren't going to change gravity. This is one of the reasons Crossfit only has 1 level recognized as a bonified certification

  • @jbandkg100 The others are whack and make no sense. That is why you have them now scurrying to get people like Mark Rippetoe and Simons to name a few, guys who are all about the science of training and understand what Glassman never could or wanted to.

It's great that people love what they do, but don't tell me that "diane" or "helen" are going to make one of my athletes stronger when crossfit is NOT sports specific.

  • Good job. My Fran PR is 6:19, so you got me! But one thing... Fran is bar from the ground not the rack.

  • hahah "504."

    "...nice" great, good job man

  • oh crap...that is awesome!...would love for you to check our new fitness community out (gymga.com). ton of crossfitters with us trying to better themselves!

  • Good on you mate. I am a personal trainer and I try to convey to my clients the importance of discipline, digging deep and being consistent with their training. You have obviously done that and it shows. Well done!

  • Good on you mate. I am a personal trainer and I try to convey to my clients the importance of discipline, digging deep and being consistent with their training. You have obviously done that and it shows. Well done!

  • bahahahahaha....time 5:04, what 5:04, nice bahahahahaha

  • nice job man. im impressed with your pull ups. Ive done crossfit for that last 2 weeks.

  • just dont for get to poke your head thru i always get yelled at school for not doing it..

  • I paused it at the first second just after watching Idiocracy. It reminded me of the hospital scene. I'm glad the guy finally got out of his shirt. Great vid. Awesome workout man.

  • good time and great work. i just did my first ever timed fran workout got 7.57. was it easy for you to learn the kipping pull up. all of mine were static dead lift pull ups, i can't get the technique down.

  • thank you for not wearing a shirt. i truly appreciate it ;)

  • dude you totally kicked ass!! i am not over weight but i still cant beat your fran time!! mad props bro!!

  • great job man great job!

  • great job your pull ups look fine to me

  • nice! massive improvement. Good effort on fran, thats bloody impressive after 6 months!

  • All I have to say is.......Thank you for inspiring me.I just started crossfit 2 weeks ago.

  • good job on your results im doing p90x and i think p90x would have given you better results since you are an endomorph body type like me. Unless you haven't taken any supplements or vitamins for leaner muscle. Try p90x change is good. GREAT JOB!!!

  • @tonytvr1 I think P90X doesn't stack up to CrossFit.

  • good stuff man. wish you'd posted a pic of what you look like tho

  • keep it up

  • Dude-you are both awesome AND inspiring!

  • awsome job for 6 months love to see how your going now

  • Amazing job and improvement :D One thing though is it seemed like you didn't lock out on your thrusters, but it looked like every one of them were 90 degrees so good job with that. Keep it up man!

  • Nice progress! keep it up

  • insane.....love it!

  • Good job dude, one thing to work on is full extension on the top of the thruster get you head all the way through and lock out arms. You stopped a little short there.

  • i know about the kipping pull ups. I was just kidding with him. I think he did a really good job. Sorry for the confusion. It was ment as a compliment.

  • good work dude.. keep it up

  • Keep it going man, consistency, consistency, consistency. wishing you all the best!

  • @adam7274 he is doing kipping pull ups, perfectly normal for crossfit

  • So I have recently decided to join crossfit. Your video has inpired me to push myself even further. Seriously your vid kicks a**. Keep it up.

By the way jerky pull ups aside, you have done an amazing job in six months. I have the before photos. Hopefully I will be posting the after in six months, and have the same results. Thanks again.

  • @Adam7274

They aren't jerky pullups..they're called kipping pullups... it uses the entire body.

  • I am where you were when you were 205 pounds (ok maybe a little less chubby), but I recently joined my local cross fit gym. I did Fran for the first time a few days ago. Totally smoked me. I needed to use bands to do my pull up reps. Your transformation is totally inspiring to me. Hopefully in six months, I'll have made as much progress as you did. Fucking awesome dude. I'm proud of you.

  • There`s nothing greater than a supporting wife! Great applause for all our supporting women!

  • I liked the babies role in all of this video :)

to motivate dad to stop laying around with a good kick to the head lol

  • SALUTE!

  • I agree with others on here … Inspiring. Great job brother!

  • Right on bro! Your killin it!

All the people talking shit obviously haven't done this workout. :)

  • You are the man. No matter your technical isues you are getting it done so great job! and thanks for inspiring me into an easier day of working out!

  • wtf??? lol 0:13

  • Great work man!

  • good on you dude, keep it up

  • hey man, you said you did crossfit for 6 months--how many times a week (and for how many hours) did you do it? thanks a ton

  • What a man.

  • good job..

  • inspirational! I've just started at an affiliate and I have a better base than you did, but I can't hold a candle to what you've progressed into

  • Great job on the transformation buddy. That's what it's all about.

  • round 3 of fran can only be described in shouts and groans of pain and the sweat angel you leave on the ground when you lay down

  • The way you do pull ups makes it seem like you might hyper-extend your elbow or damage it in someway. I mean you have made amazing progress and pull ups are tough, but maybe forget about the reps and make sure your technique is there so that you don't injure yourself

  • good work progress.

  • Awesome dude! Keep up the good work!

  • Is it safe to exhaust yourself when lifting that much weight...doesn't that increase the risk of injury or accident? Just a question, not a critique. Your results are impressive.

  • @zeppelinesque no it increases your risk of progress. if you lift weights and you dont exhaust yourself you're doing it wrong

  • Good job keep going!

  • GREAT JOB! Keep doing what you're doing & just ignore the negative comments. To do crossfit is to love crossfit! Funny how much people will hate on you for trying to do something better with yourself. I COMMEND YOU! Your video is inspirational for any crossfitter starting out especially seeing from where you started out at. I've been doing it for 2 months & just did FRAN for the first time a few days ago with a time of 7:35. Seeing this, It's exciting to think about where I'll be in 6 months :)

  • Awesome dude!

  • just got in to Cross Fit. Good job!

  • kipper i mean oops

  • Pulups are fine there called keppinger pullups......... Good job

  • dude how often do you workout ? each 2nd day?

and then, only FRAN or some other GIRLS ? Cindy , Barbara? etc?

and how bout nutrition, pls tell.

  • Damn good job dude.

  • @dokokai, so I see this guy's changed and made a massive differences in his physique. I see your comments about being "FAR BEYOND" (capitals emphasise you're a mass monster right?) and I don't see your vids on your channel. If you're gonna run someone down, at least have the balls to post yourself on here and not hide behind the anonymity of the internet.

  • Well done mate, keep up the hard work. Massive difference from before!

  • Very impressive !

  • I think cross fiters should specify that they do Kipping Pullups not simply call them pullups. There is a funny misunderstanding when someone says they can do 100 pullups and when asked to demonstrate they start doing kipping pullups. Nothing against kipping pullups (they have their own function) but kipping pullups and pullups are far from the same thing.

  • @Dante31

I think that people who are doing "dead-hang" pullups should have to specify!

  • @888Xristos You think wrong. When most people say pull up, they mean dead-hang pull up, so there is no specification needed for something that the majority of people worldwide already assume. Dead-hang pull ups are the most commonly excepted, and well known kind of pull up. Kipping pull up just falls under the many variations of a pull up there are: like butterfly pull ups, jumping pull ups, and many more and then some.

  • @Dante31

I agree with everything except your first sentence (!). Dead hang pull ups are the favorite - for NO good reason!

DHPU's represent an entire *mentality* of strength-only training - the kind of guys who would say "I need to work on my cardio", and don't realize that agility, speed, endurance, stamina, flexibility, etc are all necessary components of fitness. Guys that leave the gym freakin jacked/muscles swollen, but not tired at all. I think DHPU's are like the "metric system" in theUS

  • Nice work man, you almost went sub 5 on Fran. That's impressive.

  • @dokokai I'd love to see what you like, you little bitch.

  • @elcerrito494 I hope ALL your friends die of MS just for that shitty little attitude you have, punk!

  • @dokokai I'll take that as a "dokokai is jealous that he's nowhere near that dude"...

  • @elcerrito494 You are wrong that I'm jealous, but you are right that I'm nowhere near that dude....my physique, fitness level, skill and conditioning are FAR BEYOND that dude.

  • @dokokai He also started only 6 months ago and made huge progress. You're an idiot, dude.

  • you are a great motivation man, i whant to start do some crossfit kind of training to complement my mma training, but i weight around 280lb and cant do a single pull-up. i am strong in everything else but my pull-up is my biggest issue due to my weight (i'm 6'3) how did you get strong for pull ups before being able to do them?

  • That's awesome.

    I can't preach crossfit enough.

    Great home gym!

  • Awesome effort man keep up the great work! I haven't done Fran yet but this video is inspiring to give it my all. Keep Crossfitting!

  • Way to go man. I got into CF about 8 months ago, much like you started out. Overweight, couldn't do a single pull up... I just did Murph last month. MURPH. Keep it up - and don't let these moron commenters get to you!

BTW - I met the clown the first time I tried Fran.

  • "Round 3 of Fran cannot be described in words"

By far the BEST quote ever.. Sometimes i'd rather just die than do the 3 round !

And for the record.. a Fran is only chin over bar NOT chest to bar.

  • wow. you only did 21 kips and they still were neither full extension or chest to bar. and for 6 months that isnt all that impressive. working out hard and regularly you should be able to do it in 2-3 months

  • lol i just screamed at the Monitor for you to keep going :P

  • You turned into an animal dude... I been in crossfit for 6 months now. i was around 270 lbs., now I am at hanging around 250... I just did Fran this morning and took forever... it ain't easy for big dudes

  • Got to work on getting th head through and put the bar back on the ground in your thrusters sets. Chins Good.

  • what is your weight and height? awesome home gym

  • great job the people who stoped watching probably dont work out. anyway i like how you called out all the bad things you did instead of doing the wod and thinking you did great.

  • You stopped watching at 1:11 to go shove a doughnut up your ass, right? Try to do this workout before you talk shit.

  • @dodgecaravantinted lol. Nice one pal. Hey listen you look like you've come a long way so props for that. I just am not into crossfit, and i actually engage my back and biceps when doing pullups and try to keep as good a form as i can. I guess they're different sports,. you're doing it for endurance, i do it strength and hypertrophy so yeah. Stay active, good luck!

  • I have been working out in the gym for 10 years now and have only been doing crossfit for the past 4 months. When I first started crossfit, my brain would tell me to stop as soon as I reached 10-12 reps in the exercise. Crossfit helps you break that "habit" and develop endurance, stamina, etc. Try it people!

  • Some things can be hard, but still not smart to do. Climbing Everest naked is an example - admirable effort, poor execution.

Bad form on exercises can lead to injuries. So you get really fit and then... really unfit while you're waiting to recover.

  • Please, who is singing the song from the beginging the video::::::::::::::

  • @raphael885867

Nine Inch Nails - Mr. Self Destruct

  • Name of the first song please!

  • Good work!

  • man watching you do those crazy squats makes my back ache! my disks are not strong enough for that.... great work on your part!!

  • @marknz2008

Hey now, don't make excuses, no one would ask you to start at that much weight anyways :P

If you can safely make your back stronger, perhaps eventually you could do that.

All depends on what you think is possible.

  • LOL I really found your video inspiring....and the funny part is....my elbows dont bend all the way straight either, I hate trying to explain that to people, they look at me like I'm crazy or full of it. Honestly one of the best Crossfit inspirational videos I have seen.

  • Great job man. That's awesome.

  • Really good work. I did Fran for the first time in September, then again in late October. Went from 7:49 to 6:00. Next one is gonna be sub-5:00

  • Good work, champ!!! (-D

  • Very good! Hope you're keeping this sh*t up, along with a good diet, and congrats!

  • I love how your kid is kicking your head when you're finished! Thanks, Sweetie! He heh... NICE work though.

  • kips make my eyes hurt.

  • stopped watching at 1:11

  • Wow...is that setup in your garage?

  • great work...turniing into a machine. :) nice

  • Awesome job dude! Don't worry about any comment that ever comes from sjktss... he seriously cruises crossfit videos and trolls them all day.

  • Great work mate, if only everyone knew how gruelling this was. You blasted it. Legend. Love your progress...

  • Hey brother, not sure why these hatred would be roaming crossfit videos if they think it's stupid, but you are a superhero man... Crossfit is all about Combat Fitness for guys like me so I have that as motivation, whatever yours is, it's WORKING! Diggin the kicks by the way man, I'm more of a bare footer when I can

  • Way to go man. this is inspirational!

  • Where do you park your car?

  • Great job man! When I started off doing my first Fran, I was above 11min. Now I'm around the 5min mark just like you.

  • Damn, props...

  • I like the bit at the end where you are lying on the floor being kicked in the head by (your?) baby daughter. She's cute!

  • 3.2.1.GO Awesome work :-)

  • What is CrossFit?

  • great job, bro. keep it going.

  • is that healthy?

  • respect

  • Dear God... We must destroy him before he becomes more powerful that we can possibly imagine...

Seriously though I sold my badass bench and weight set a few months ago and am kicking myself in the ass for it. Now I have to go buy a new one for more. Crossfit is awesome.

  • on the 21 chain of pull ups,....your form was smooth man.

  • Great job man! Going from not being able to do Fran to busting it out in 5 minutes is awesome! I just did Fran yesterday and got 4:56...I also couldn't finish Fran my first time! Keep up the good work man! Love the garage by the way!

  • I wish I had a garage like that. No more b.s. 24 hr Fitness Hollywood. Great work and progress.

  • it is relativly cheap to get the garage liek that, just save up, fittness or cable tv for a year that is all it takes. on the other side I have an old Bally account from the mid 90's costs about $10 a month. They have everything I need for cross fit and if it breaks they fix it. I take that back they do not have rings but they let me bring my own. I like my cars to be in my garage and you do not needs a special set up for Crossfit

  • good work

  • Jstecman don't listen to any negative bullshit comments people have listed on here. they are too scared to do crossfit workouts. they don't understand it. they are unwilling to try b/c their mind pussies out on them. i have been doing crossfit for a year now. i eat well and i train well. i am in the best shape of my life and every crossfit workout i do i still feel out of shape! this is the key to great health and great life right here. u rocked FRAN man! excellent video. and i love your garage!

  • Great job! This is what crossfit is all about, improving the quality of your life. You've clearly made some great progress, I just have a couple recomendations for you. First off, doing thrusters off a rack is a waste of time. Pick em' up and then toss em' when you're done. Secondly, full extension on a thruster means ears in front of arms. When you have the weight overhead you should be poking your head through to get full extension. Keep up the good work!

  • Congratulations!! That is sick.

  • I do agree my pullups were very spastic and jerky and in need of improvement. We manage stress and cortisol with recovery and nutrition. According to the data that we've generated, kipping pullups makes better runners, skiiers, baseball players, and military personal than do dead hang. Dead hang does have its purpose.

  • You´re a twat

  • great job man!!!

  • Crosfitters's do "kipper pullups" and thats how they do them. I agreewith you however i do chinup's slow no swinging. Oh! Btw well done to the guy in the youtube movie. Weird i am having a daughter too and i have aslo started excercising again.

    Good job

  • Not to also be a critic, but this workout is designed for a certain amount of work in a certain amount if time, the total work needs to be done and it doesn't matter how you generate the power. Kipping pullups absolutely do you plenty of good and learning to do them correctly provides results you wouldn't believe, actually improving true pullup count in the process, so pardon if I call you out on your fairly closeminded claim, you really should look further into the program and maybe even try it

  • agreed. a kipping pull-up does wayyyy more for your power and explosive strength than any of that bodybuilding malarkey.

  • There are crossfit workouts that revolve around typical strength movements, including strict pull-ups; this workout just happens to not be one of them. The purpose of the kipping pull-up is to slightly reduce the load on the arms and back for each individual rep, allowing you to string more together, turning a strength exercise into an aerobic one. Ultimately, crossfit is about being strong and well-conditioned, not jerking yourself off while you flex your "totally awesome lats" in a mirror.

  • your a fucking retard.

  • you dont know what hes trying to do. he should really be swinging more at the bottom.

  • Your grip for pulls ups is pretty close, it's going to mainly be using your arms instead of your lats/shoulders.

    Good progress keep it up!

  • Great job!!!! I think you could really get those times down on your Pull-Ups by working on your Superman and Hollow forms then using those fundamentals to improve your kipping cadence and speed. Good job, stay solid.

  • That is AWESOME. I got chills in round 3. Awesome effort! Keep it up!

  • does he have all this in his garage?? !!!

  • Crazy, dude. Awesome. I was cheering for you in the past (or in the future...) So where are you at now?

  • I can do 0 clean chins, How did you work it up?

I mean how do you get strong enough to make chins if you can make none at the moment?

  • lighten your load as much as you need to, then work it up. Stand on a bench if you have to and do as much as you can with your arms, letting your legs help you out. There is some info about scaling on the crossfit website.

  • thank's buddy

  • holy crap!!! You are an inspiration. I've been doing crossfit for almost a year and my last fran was 11:02... you are a beast!

BTW... I love your little girl kicking you in the head when you were down like that... CLASSIC!

  • Wow, excellent progress

  • Thanks mate. This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for, inspirational! Love it.

  • I did Fran for first time 2 days ago, IT IS PAINFULL! But now i'm going to do a video and try every time i do Fran to decrease my time and get better...

  • well done keep it up bud
