@Jamum100 um, 80's is actually pretty awesome. im 12. so, calm yourself. and listen to the song YOU clicked on... is that so hard. (: and it's pretty close to the best. but, out of curiosity what is your favorite.
@XoXoAiryFairyXoXo well I wasn't saying that I didn't like the song, I clicked on it cuz I wanted to listen to it. My favorite generation? 60's-70's rock in terms of originality and style. I'll admit I mostly listen to rap and the 90's had the best generation for that. Also music is music, there's good songs with every generation. Didn't mean to put the 80's down.
To all. Stop restoring one another's faith in today's good taste in music. There is no such thing as one and only good song, artist or genre. Never been. I can get that you especially like that one kind but for god sake leave other's prefferences alone!!! I'm sick of this trend in today's people opinions on each kind of deeds from nowadays - isn't that pathetic? Or is it just me? I am not 10, 11 or 13, I am almost 20 and I feel confused. Have a good time listening to whatever you like, all ages.
so many have tried to sing this song since..."can't touch this"...CL's got it. I grew up in a non-english speaking country, in africa, in the 80s-90s. my friends & I used to sing the chorus...that's all we could understand. it was awesome. transcended geographic boundaries, skin color, age, language...beautiful. thats real music.
seriously... the 80's were awesome the go go's Cyndi Lauper Michael Jackson.everyone. Madonna i was born in '98 and i honestly don't like my generations music. bad influence.....coming from a 13 year old.
@Supersweetcheecks1 i actually have to agree with u. i was born in 93 and i noticed that its really hard to find good music these days. i guess they just dont make music like they used to :'T dont get me wrong, we still have some really good music but its still nothing compared to the greats like Michael Jackson, Journey, Bon Jovi, u get my drift. im gonna stop talking now before i go on a rant lol
@Supersweetcheecks1 but still both of us are still very fortunate now that we have You Tube to search for good music of the past decades. The FM stations are becoming obsolete because of the kind of music they played now is soul-less and trash and u said BAD INFLUENCE!! If you need to ask good music ask people who are born in the 60s they are generations of excellent music. Have a pleasant listening.
till today 2012 feb i still listening to this song yet i'm a person who love old meaningful song like this song... is much more meaningful then the futuristic songs but yet some have they're best..
I may not have been born in the 80's or have seen the 80's, but I just love the music they created for future generations to listen to, but they listen to the junk music of today!!! 80's music FOREVER AND BEYOND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i lost my believed(faith) after heart break after heart break and i just hope that this song dont let me down and the next time i can get back because the sun dont want to shine, the wind dont caress me no more, the world looks like an nightmare, and the good looks like bad and the bad looks like good, and everything that i believed in is not true and the thinks that i thought that it wasnt true now it is, my "heart" hurts so much that is going to takes time to heal,
This is has been my music for all time.....taking me back to those memorable days full of ecstacy. It just sends me to a trance and makes my real world!
I was born in 1968.....I was a teenager in the 80's and you all are correct....WE HAD THE BEST MUSIC....with every song I hear from the 80's memories just flood my mind, some good, some sad, but memories non the less. I was all about music. We didn't have ipod/mp3players, we had WALKMAN's and I had mine with me everywhere I went (I still have it!).
@CountryBumkin39 ooooo have to disagree with you on that. i believe you were looking for 90's music, 90's music as the best era of music. though i love my share of 80's, nothing can compare to the 90's
@CountryBumkin39 I was born in 1994 .. and THAT was the biggest mistake in life ! Damn u're SO lucky ! I've always said that I was born in the wrong decade. The proof : Kurt Cobain died in 94 ! snif snif snif !
@PrincessHellcat that was really original what you did there, "mistakenly" calling rap, crap. good one, I've never seen that before. I'm not mindless, I think for myself. I'm technically still a teen but I'm almost 20. Which means I'm young and stupid and don't care you think.
I was born in 1994. Grew up with this kinda stuff. the 80's. 60's, and 70's, and lots of the 90's. People get very suprised I know alot of older music.. But its amazing music :) real music. :)
Eminem does not spit crap, honestly realize what he's rapping about, his lyrics are more powerful then the music, and honestly respect music, don't dis it, like this song!
@mike99943 1. I am not a 'he'. 2. I never said you can't post what you want, I was simply expressing my disgust of contrived comments. 3. By sending me that response you were doing exactly as I was in your eyes 'repressing someone's freedom of speech', so fuck you, you hypocritical bag of human shit. Maybe you should think before you type.
im 13 i was bron in 1998 i dont nessisarily like the stuff on the radio but i dont hate it I LOVE80s music and i dont care what my friends think the 80s music was the best it has meaning and good sound to it i wish people would listen to it ad realize what i have
My grandmothers favourite decade was the 80's, my mamma grew up in the 80's, and i was raised with the 80's. I don't care if my offspring are born in 2030! I will raise them in the 80's. Period. Classic!
I was born in 1997, but I love all the old classics. the 50's-80's were the best songs. It's sad to think of what today's music has come to. To much autotune is used these days. The 50's-80's is REAL music. Most teenagers now adays don't know that, though. /:
i'm thirteen i was born in 1998, and i love cyndi lauper, don henley, air supply, john parr, journey, and real mcoy. i dont care what my classmates say, this is REAL music, not crap like eminem rapping about freaking beating his ex. no, the 80s had the best music. i just wished more people realized that.
@TWill800 im not full of myself at all i think yur just selfish everybody has a right to say what they want, i just so happen want to say that i love ALL 80s music not just some so i think u should just stay the fuck out of what we say and enjoy the great music ok its really not that hard
@tamimac111 FOR FUCK SAKE. Why do all tweens who listen to anything other than mainstream music think they deserve a fucking award? Seriously, shut up, no one cares. Listen to the music and shut that hole in your face. You just sound like every other dickhole who makes this dumb contrived comment.
@tamimac111 You say this is crap opposed to artists like Eminem, yet you listen to Nickelback and Bruno Mars and think that is good music. HA! Also, I appreciated your comment on my channel. Thanks.
@MagneticMagnetic Not to be rude, but I don't like Eminem because i just don't like his music, and no I don't like Bruno Mars. I don't even listen to him. And what's the big deal about liking Nickelback? I think they make really good songs. So there's no need to get pissy!
@tamimac111 i'm thirteen as well. I thought i was really the only one that thought that. this is really some of the best music in the world. i can listen to rappers like eminem when with my friends but at night i tend to just turn all of that off and do my homework to some cyndi lauper. :) #geeksunite ?
1980-early 00's = come home an watch mtv right away but now we come home and play videos games or sleep cuz nobody wants to hear gossip of Justin Biber and lady gaga shit
I'm not a manly guy just so you all know judge me if you will the furl I like a lot and have for a long time Mariah (not sure why I put her name oh well no turning back!) doesn't like me we used to go out but this song always reminds me ofnher because it kind of describes us from my perspective plus at her dance recital she danced to this it was cooooooool :) we don't go to the same school though :( ut if by some off chance she's reading this comment I posted for some off reason (pathetic attem
I was born in 1989 and I could give a shit less what decade the music was created. I also think most people reading this are drunks. Yeah, stop drinking man.
I have a few words that are true for some of you but some maybe not. The 60s was good nothing out of this world. The 70s were better and a good way to start real music. The 80s is and will always be the best time of music there will ever be in this planet. The 90s everything slowed down and was kind of a waste a time. 2000 to 2012 is a bunch of bs.. srry for my launguage but it is. So all i have to say 80s is and always will be the best time of music. =)
As a 90s kid, I heard this in the grocery store all the time as a kid. -.- Such nostalgic grocery shopping memories.
I heard this again on 106.7 Light FM and realized how much I missed this song.

MagneticMagnetic 3 weeks ago
@tamimac111 I agree completely (:

@tamimac111 You say this is crap opposed to artists like Eminem, yet you listen to Nickelback and Bruno Mars and think that is good music. HA! Also, I appreciated your comment on my channel. Thanks.
MagneticMagnetic 3 weeks ago
@MagneticMagnetic Not to be rude, but I don't like Eminem because i just don't like his music, and no I don't like Bruno Mars. I don't even listen to him. And what's the big deal about liking Nickelback? I think they make really good songs. So there's no need to get pissy!

@tamimac111 listen to eminem's song called beautiful. please.
i love 80s too both ballads and hard rock and i'm one year older than you, but in this case you are wrong about eminem
zlivalavida 3 weeks ago
@tamimac111 i'm thirteen as well. I thought i was really the only one that thought that. this is really some of the best music in the world. i can listen to rappers like eminem when with my friends but at night i tend to just turn all of that off and do my homework to some cyndi lauper. :) #geeksunite ?

I have a few words that are true for some of you but some maybe not. The 60s was good nothing out of this world. The 70s were better and a good way to start real music. The 80s is and will always be the best time of music there will ever be in this planet. The 90s everything slowed down and was kind of a waste a time. 2000 to 2012 is a bunch of bs.. srry for my launguage but it is. So all i have to say 80s is and always will be the best time of music. =)
