This song is so special to me. It was playing on the tv and radio a lot when i had just broken up with my girlfriend. It made me sad but also helped me process I think. Now it just invokes a lot of powerful emotions and beautiful memories.

Probably. The smell of flowers is a good example. Let's say you grew up in a place filled with lavender bushes, then lavender will always remind you of your childhood whenever you smell it. This works on many many degrees. Even sexual acts can cause sudden recall. Snow Patrol aren't as good live, I don't think. But I love their studio recordings.

I saw them on Pinkpop '09, they rocked the whole place. A live concert isn't mainly about the music imo though, it's about the vibe. And well, Snow Patrol music, the sun sinking behind the horizon, the crimson skies and hypnotic video's on the screen... I was on a different planet :)

Just saw them last night in Atlanta & they were BRILLIANT! Standing room only & everyone was smiling, singing and dancing! They were fantastic! If you have a chance to see them live - GO!
