@BigBagsForRent Well using "ain't" in your language isn't making you look much smarter, to be honest. New studies suggest that crows and ravens are as, or possibly even more, intelligent then apes are, and that they probably have what's known as theory of mind as well. Essentially, this means that they probably have beliefs, thoughts and feelings, and recognize that other beings do as well. The great apes and humans are the only others known to have this as well. In short- they're smart.
@BigBagsForRent Either you're just trolling me now, or you're very dense. But I'll humor you either way. Whether you are or aren't an "Einstein" doesn't make you smart or stupid. Smart for a non-human means something different than smart for a bird.
my creatures will always be my eyes and ears and warn me, all the creatures of the earth will always warn me, birds of everykind serves as messengers. you plot will backfire and you hired persons will turn on you.
crows are truly intelligent.. i remember years ago i put a small bird feeder hanging from a T pole.... the little birds would come and feed.. after a couple of days i noticed a crow hanging around and eventually tried to get some of the seeds out without success... i watched and watched...finally he flew back and LIFTED up with its beak and dropped it to the ground...was it jealous of the little birds or hoping it would break on impact?? i will never know..
Sea gulls fly over a baseball or football stadium towards the end of a game knowing food is available when people leave. They have it timed to the last few innings at wrigley field.
both crows and ravens are brilliant birds. i have a tough garbage can to get open and the ravens still know how to get into it like the back of their wing lol. despite how much they piss me off having to go clean up their mess of my garbage all over the place it still amazes me how intelligent they are.
We were told the other day that there would be a foreign exchange student joining our class from Asia. It turned out to be a Japanese Crow. I call him Blacky...not because I'm racist (although I am racist), but, because he's black. Anywho, the fucker is constantly showing me up in class, he's getting straight A's. God damned Asians.
yes, i live in Canada - and i have seen Crows do this; as well as other amazing things. Gotta say one of my favs to watch is squirrels dropping horse-chestnuts on passers by down below - now, that's funny.!
I once saw some crows eating some nachos someone had dropped, and they would take them to a small pond close by and dip them in the water to soften them. Clever creatures.
I am a crow dressed like a woman. There are a lot of us crows who dress up like people and you would never guess it. We are among you and some of us are your elected officials, school teachers, and doctors. We are smarter than humans and will take over the world. We have already taken over several cities and we have a large secret robot factory in Western China where we make our human coverings. The crows you see on the street are least intelligent of our kind.
Not only smart, very family-oriented. They'll holler as if to alert family to the feast as son as they land where I usually throw bread, often flying away with large pieces.
Its nice to see a flock of crows eat. If you throw a bunch of bread on the ground, unlike gulls who fight over everything, crows will actually wait for the entire flock to land before they start eating.
The crow doese this everyday in my neighborhood, there's walnut everywhere in my town.Six walnut trees in my yard alone. One of these day i fear, they might crack my windshield while driving.
crows ARE smart, it's not that they know that red means "safe", some just eventually realized the spot where cars stop the longest, and experiments have proven crows identify their reflection in a mirror as themselves, most animals just think it's another animal
on the youtube search bar, you will see a lot of crows solving a lot of complex puzzles to get food. Once you see them, you can find this video more plausible. Crows are among the rares animal we know that can make logical connections, it can solve many problems without being trained. The "changing lights" isn't really a complex puzzle compared to the other ones I saw from. "Sequential tool use by crow" is a video from Oxford university.
