  • The magic of Gary Gilbertson - great stuff!

  • Stop it! You're making me feel old!!!!!

Seriously, thanks for that, I'm inclined to dig mine out to get a live performance!

  • Nice.;)

  • Looks like somebody figured out how to edit the lyrics part of the file. lol!

Not like it was too hard with that program, and hey who didn't do that kind of thing in their preteen years?

Any other neat songs in AMP?

  • I don't know why they don't reproduce cool stuff like this on today's computers. I mean, that was the whole plan and sadly they've failed thus far. Very disappointing. Even Adventure games as a genre are no more.

  • epic lulz.. i remember the tune and remember playing this on my computer when i was a kid

  • It's good to be in 2008th!

  • This was one of my favorite demos man! It made me love my computer even more.

  • Oh my fucking god. I can't believe I finally found this!

  • Why would you change the lyrics? That's not even funny.

  • it's not my fault, I have Passionately in this version :(

  • i laughed way to hard at the "you and i shit" part. lol

  • lol ha me too, i had to rewind it and make sure i saw that correctly.

  • Maybe I'm the only ex-Atari 8bit user who doesn't know this piece. But in former GDR we had our version - it was a BASIC program that played "Santa Lucia" over and over again. I still know how this drove my parents crazy *lol*

  • make a video of it! :)

  • Rock n Roll! I used to play this over and over - must have driven my parents crazy. This and the music to Preppie!

  • Damn, they have just about everything on this site! I remember that demo.. And yes, there was a whole library of stuff out there for the AMS, although none others that I know of had the "dancing lines" on them, just a little display in the middle of the screen that showed song info. It was also written in BASIC (I remember having to plug the cartridge in to run the thing).

  • I vividly remember seeing this demo for the very first time at a friend who also had an Atari 8-bit. I was completely blown away by it. Especialy the shifting notes and vibrations were extremely cool for those days. We constantly had to "battle" to prove it was way better than the C64.I still have it on a 5.25" floppy for my 800 and 130XE here. I've always seen this version, never the original lyrics. Were there ever any other songs released using this "advanced music processor" ?

  • I've wanted to show this to my wife since before I ever met her,but not *this* version.... Is the version you have the original? Mine stopped working about 15 years ago & I've never been able to find another. I'd *LOVE* to have a copy of the nice, clean original. Is there any way either you could video it & post it, or copy it so I could play it on my 800, or let me borrow it? Please let me know. Thanks!

  • So, you''re wife gonna be in shock when she sees the f-word ? You're kidding right ?

Sorry, I've only got this version...

  • It's honestly just not as sweet or even slightly romantic this way... :-( I'll keep searching, someone's gotta' have it.

  • I've posted a response to this video with the correct and clean version. Hope you can still show it to your wife. Mine just looked at me funny when I showed it to her :)

  • thanks for the video! I understand your wife about the lyrics :D

  • I believe the timing is off on your recording, you're using 50Hz timing and the song sounds slower, or Gary Gilbertson composed it for 50Hz?

  • The wow is now!

  • KWL!.......Datamost for EVER!!

  • This is a hack of the original with some of the lyrics changes.

  • GOOD LORD! I've been telling friends about this video for at least 15 years! Amazing to see it on YouTube!

  • yeah great music! :)

  • I would have liked the original lyrics, too, although it was still great to see this again, thank you.

  • Kewl, but would have been nice to have the original lyrics.

  • Why are you idiots complaining about no lyrics when they are right there on the freaking screen? Are you blind? If you can sing, you can join the Braillettes.

  • I think they're objecting to the NSFW amendments to the lyrics, NT2010. For the record, the lines are "DRAG on" and "you and I FIT". But I don't care, I've been waiting 15 years to hear this tune again. I'll take it any way I can get it.
