This track is immune to criticism: anyone saying that it's wrong just have no idea what they're talking about. In 1981, when this was made, there was no digital editing; no onscreen sound control, just good old physical cuts. Nobody was doing stuff like this apart from Jamaican dub masters. This is a seminal track.

This 12" pays homage to the old jamaican dubplates; with the vocal side on A side and the dub version with no vocal on the B side., filling the space left with every FX available on the studio, and so turning the drum and bass tracks into a riddim you can mix with evertything you want. This is a Dj tool and should be wiewed as that.

well for one since I first saw this on Vinyl one side the "dub" the other "Tainted Love" I have always liked this better because it reminds me of just goofin around. Bet it was fun to create back when you had to splice tape and actually edit.

just curious here..did anybody have a problem playin this song in its entirety? cause the song runs for 9m15s..but the song stops & freezes at like 8m & doesnt continue.
